"Hey baby" is now up on the myspace!

You asked for it forever and we all really appreciate that. So we made a special trip to Halo Studios and pimped out our demo recording of the song with producer TJ Swan. And we did it all just for you. So go give it a listen and let us know what you think.

Love you guys

PS
Thanks soooo much to all of you who came out to the show in Portland on Saturday. The turnout was great, all of the bands were awesome, it was an incredible show overall thanks to you guys. We really appreciate all of you hard-core TSB fans who haven't forgotten about us after the time off with Mike's accident. We wouldn't still be doing all of this without your support. It means sooooo much to us. Also, a big thanks to all of our new fans/friends that we met at the show on saturday. We hope to be seeing much more of all of you guys very soon. This friday maybe?

Hello friends and fans of The Beat,

We would like to direct your attention towards a new sexy man floating around in our top 4 friends. His name is Tom Davin and he is now the official drummer for TSB. Tom is an extremely talented and serious musician, and an all-around super-nice guy. We have all been enjoying his presence greatly for the last month or so and we are all looking forward to working with him more. So stop by Tom's Myspace and leave him some love. And while you're at it, stop by all of our myspaces, because the entire band's personal sites are now posted. A little something to let you all get to know us a little better as people. Awwwww.

In other News:

-Work on the new album is going great. We have been writing and finalizing the songs for our month-long trip to HALO studios that begins with producers TJ Swan and Jon Wyman in mid-July . We have been rehearsing at our most frequent pace ever and are really looking forward to getting back in the studio again for the first time since before Mike's unfortunate accident. (See: previous blogs. Booooo!)

-Our first full-band live shows with Tom (and Mike. Yayy!) are scheduled to begin at the end of the month. Our first home-show back (Portland) we're scheduling as I write this. So, stay tuned for our epic return to our hometown. Also, we are planning two more Hot Topic in-store static events- one each in NH and VT and we will be performing at Bull Moose Music in Bangor for record store day on April 18th!

-As a special treat for you "Hard-Core" TSB fans we are finishing up a new recorded version of a certain song that is frequently requested that we have never recorded before! (oooohhhh) I wonder what it could be? You'll just have to be patient 'til it hits our myspace.

So that's what's new with us. What are you all up to?

Hey guys,

I know this is cheesy as hell, but this year all of us here in TSB are sooooooo thankful to have our guitarist and best friend , Mike Prue, back with us alive, well and getting stronger every day. We're also so thankful to have all of you as friends and supporters of our band.

So enjoy your holiday and hit us up if you're bored or sick of your family. We'll be checking our myspace periodically today.

Thanks

Hey Guys,

We all really wanted to thank every single one of you who made it out to the benefit show on the 15th. It was a great success and it's all because of your attendance and donations. So thanks so much to everyone who was there and also to everyone who couldn't make it and still sent donations. I'm sure that seeing Mike at the show was a surprise to all of you. I don't think there was one dry eye in the venue when he got up onstage to play "Goodbye Song" with me. It has really been so great to see him get back to doing the normal things in life, and for Mike playing guitar and performing on-stage are really everyday occurrences. Make sure you come out to the next benefit show on Dec. 19th in Wells. More info for that show is on our main page under "show flyers" of course.

Now for some news:

- Andy and I spent most of this last week locked away in my apartment writing songs for our next recording. Everything has been going really well and we'll have some updates on our writing and recording process as we go.

- Please stop by our page and take a listen to our brand-new song "38 States" which will be up Sunday, November 30th! And check out that new pretty flyer in the meantime compliments of www.visionforviewers.com (thanks Robbie!)

Thank you all soooooo much for your continued listening and support. See you soon.

Hey guys,

Earlier today Mike called me from his room at the physical therapy center that he is currently staying in: "Hey, check this out!" he said in in a tone more excited than I have heard from him in well... maybe ever. Shortly after he put down the phone I started to hear him play "Sweet Home Alabama" on guitar. Slow, but solid, was Mike's first day returning to the guitar. We are all sooooo excited for this news, as we know now that it will only be a matter of time before we all get to hear Mike play guitar again. I just wanted to share that info with all of you who have been so supportive and patiently waiting for news on Mike's condition. Leave some love and encouragement for Mike. Tell him to keep it up! I know we are all so proud of him right now and it means so much to him to hear it from all of you.

Please stay tuned for our new song "38 States" which should be up on our myspace page in just a couple of weeks, and please come out to the all ages benefit show on the 15th!

Thanks guys

Hey guys, Daniel James here. Right now I'm sitting in the back of the Westcott theatre in Syracuse, charging my phone and watching an acoustic performance by our new best friend Jimme from Sunday Night Scene. We're now heading into the last week of the tour and I just wanted to give y'all an update in our travels. The last week has been a whirlwind of driving, hauling gear, sleeping in the van, waiting around venue parking lots to play, meeting tons of nice people, and flyering-up malls promoting the shows. We're all thinking of Mike and we can't wait to head back home to see him awake again. In Mike's absence, our good friend Scott Milligan has been filling in on guitar. Scott has been such a huge help and a positive driving force on this tour. I wanted to take this time to mention that we couldn't have done this without him. Thanks Scott! This next week will have us heading back into New England and we're all super excited for that. Once we're back home again we'll be taking a couple of weeks off and then we'll start in on our benefit shows for the Prue family. We'll also be updating you all on Mike's condition. Again, thank you all Soooooo much for the love and support you have shown for Mike. It means so much to all of us. It is a truly important part of his recovery. Also, in the midst of all of this we have been continually revising mixes of our most recent studio recordings, which we will be posting on the Myspace in due time. Hope to see you all soon. - Daniel and the beats
