come celebrate America's birthday with a little Peace Love and ROCK N ROLL!!

The Marina Music Festival honors the 40th Anniversary of Woodstock featuring a live musical tribute to Jimi Hendrix, The Doors, Janis Joplin, The Who, and Creedence Clearwater Revival .

Hosted by Music Source at the luxurious Waterfront Marina Concert Hall, 4211 Admiralty Way, Marina Del Rey, CA 90292 featuring live performances, BBQ, art, and of course a stellar Fourth of July fireworks display. Show starts at 9PM

 
Proceeds will benefit the nonprofit Artistspalooza organization for the arts.

David Lockhart's painfully excessive capturing of the booze-swilling and constantly concupiscent Jim Morrison is an encyclopedic homage to the ethos of rock. Boudeeka's haunting accurate portrayal of Janis Joplin is a tribute to women in rock and the raw emotion that was so much a part of the scene. Carlton Poward is an almost frightening replica with his spot-on Jimi Hendrix characterization and inspired guitar playing.

The Stereoblasters are back home safe and sound.  We want to thank everyone who helped made it possible.


Thank you  Nikki, Mio, Saturu and all our friends in Japan who supported us,  drove us around, booked our gigs, translator, showed us all the good spots to eat, came to our shows and danced their arses off.  We look forward to repaying your kindness when Suzaku tours California next week.

The San Francisco-based rock and roll group
Stereoblasters have been confirmed to tour Tokyo, Japan,
Aug. 4-15 to help promote the new Broadband Music TV Station and social
network, Tokyo5.tv. The social website, scheduled to
launch Aug. 1st, is a combination of retro old school MTV
mixed with cutting edge technology made popular by
Myspace and Facebook.  The website will send top rated independent
bands to tour Japan.

According to Tokyo5.TV CEO Fred Jardin "We are very pleased to have
The Stereoblasters onboard to promote our channel. This
innovative blues-based rock and roll band  will set the
precedent for the kind of top rated bands that
we will be bringing to Japan in the months to come."

The Stereoblasters consist of Brian Rashap on bass,
James Stafford on drums, Itchy Cartwritght on guitar, Fred Vierra ..s and
David Lockhart on lead vocals. Frontman Dave Lockhart said "We are

One of San Francisco's hottest attractions these days is a group of retro-rockers right out of the Mick and Keith, Rod The Mod and Ronnie Wood, Bowie and Ronson mold. Heavy dripping guitar lines, big bang beats and heart thumping bass lay down a bed for lead singer David Lockhart to lie in, dance on and smash into bits. The Who, The Doors, The Stones, The Faces,
they're all here.

When watching THE STEREOBLASTERS I had the feeling that I was really fortunate to be seeing them in a small venue. They're well on their way with gigs at the MONTEREY SUMMER OF LOVE Festival, a new CD and a looming tour of Japan. See the STEREOBLASTERS if you get the chance.
