Puumajan ja varmasti monen muunkin yllätykseksi Rumban kriitikot olivat rankanneet "Meriselityksiä"-albumin vuoden 22. parhaaksi kotimaiseksi levyksi! Tuntuu hienolta, etenkin kun muistetaan että samaisen lehden sivuilla levyarviossa albumia herjattiin vain kahden tähden arvoiseksi.

Ois mahtavaa jos kaikki jaksais laittaa PUUMAJAn ainakin vuoden tulokas sarjaan (siis jos on sitä mieltä) ja kaikki muita mahtavia kotimaisia bändejä ja julkaisuja kans. Oli tosi komea vuosi kotimaisessa musiikissa jälleen. Paljon hyviä palkintoja!

There's now a new greatly surreal video on our profile. It's for the song "kesä voi mennä pieleleen" and it's was made by Tomi Wahlroos! Thanks!
Also spectators of finnish tv might have noticed that our dear song "Yritys-erehdys" is featured on MTV3 during the ad for a new tv serie "Kadonneen jäljillä".
It makes us a bit more happy than the day before.

Great news,
we managed to get a support slot for the fabulous Hjaltalín
(isl) at their Lahti -gig on 25.8. (at Torvi). They are a superb group,
and so are we, so you should definately come to see us play. Hjaltalín
is also playing shows in Helsinki and Tampere, so if you managed to
miss their Provinssirock -show it’s time to repair the damage! They are
usually described as a combination of Arcade Fire, Sufjan Stevens and
Sigur Rós (well you can’t really avoid that comparison if you come from
there?), which actually does them justice. In Tampere there will be also the great On Volcano on stage.

UPDATE: Confirmed dates so far with Heligoland are: 28.9. (mon) Turku / Dynamo 30.9. (wed) Helsinki / Bar Loose + Heligoland will be playing in Tampere / Telakka 29.9. (tue) You should all come. No excuses! ---------------------------- Hi, please keep your eye on a band called Heligoland (if you haven't already). They come from France (well originally from Australia) and they make some excellent music. Their upcoming album will be mixed&produced by none other than Robin Guthrie himself! Surely you all know the guy, don't you? Oh and by the way. Puumaja will be touring Finland with Heligoland next fall. So see you in September. Exact dates and cities coming soon. It'll be good. P.S. Some reviews have been appearing slowly... Desibeli.net was the first: Desibeli.net/arvostelut- 4/5 stars and many nice compliments Latest Soundi magazine features rather kind review and a small Jarno-interview: Soundi.fi/arvostelut- 3/5 mostly positive review, describing my vocals just right: "fumbling and expressionless". - Jarno testifies that while rest of the band are settled down, Nuutti has loads of ladies to choose from. Puumaja's debut album "Meriselityksiä" is coming soon... It'll be released May 27th and it is pretty and good.
