So a few months ago the ex and I found out Flogging Molly were going to be in town, we talked about going and had a mutual friend that worked at a local record store that might be able to get us tix. We broke up less then a week later..... So a couple months go by and I'm talking to another friend about it and she wants to go, then her guy wants to and they want to set me up with thier friend, but then all falls apart her guy cant go neither can the friend so it'll just be her and I. ok cool, then she can't get a babysitter, so I'm SOL. Day of the show I go downtown with the girl I'm seeing and getting a new fedora and a hat for my Halloween costume. We head to Fanny Anne's to get lunch and I get a call from the ex.... "Mikey can you get to the Raddison by 6:30?" "Why" "Sean has 2 tickets but has to work tonight so he can go, and I know you really want to " "UM OK, I'LL SEE YOU THERE!!!" so I got to see Flogging Molly do a full set. Only times I'ves seen them were at Warped and thats only 30 minute sets, and last time they played in Sac proper the person I was going to go with and I got into a huge fight right before so I was fucked. It was beyond awesome! If you've never seen them find a way!! I've seen over 300 bands live and they are THE BEST LIVE BAND I have ever seen. Better then the Cure, better then Sabbath, better then Bad Religion, Rancid, NoFx, Pennywise, NIN, Slipknot, and they have the most diverse fan base, my mom was upset that she couldn't get tix to the SLC show. There were punks, greasers, goths, emos, middle age moms, hippies, tweens, a group of kinda gangsta people , and everything in and between. IT WAS AWESOME!! And you can't help buy to dance to thier stuff. I even got to see a customer of mine, and Sid, Chy, and Taco, so at least I didn't haveto spend the entire show with the ex lol.
But ok its getting early and I gotta work in 10 hours so I should sleep soon. Go see Flogging Molly at all cost next time they play near you!

So yeah one of the last things I wrote was back in April and I was in a great new relationship, well that all kinda fell apart in July. Still love the girl, and we're still very good friends but it really hurt alot, and those that were around when it happened or that I vented to know that. But I'm trying to move on, I'm seeing someone now, don't know where its going to go, I have REALLY bad commitment issues now, and they were pretty bad to begin with, but we are dealing with those and other issues both her and I have.
So at the end of July I moved out of Sid and Chy's, not by choice, and our friendship has been strained since. I moved in with a former co-worker in an apartment down on Edison and Howe, and if you don't know where that is its really ghetto and I'm way too white and not ghetto to be there. I was there for about a month and a half then moved back to the place I was in before I moved in with my ex a little over a year ago.
So yeah there is a little bit of updates on me life, there is more, but fuck if I went through everything since April I might be up for several more hours, so I end this now..... though there is going to be at least one more before I crash.

Ok, so for those of you that don't know, I have a new lady in my life and I am VERY happy.... and I can't explain it... she is amazing. We are both geeks, though for different things, we love alot of thye same music, though she is more into stompy industrial, and I more punk but we are both very eclectic. We like alot of the same movies, besides hed love of Disney. But yeah I am very happy and I think she is too. We are most likely going to Asylum on sunday, and everyone should go out, because those of you that have known us both for a while might be very weirded out... but um yeah, goto club, and be happy for me, I am.

So SId just woke up and went to go fishing with his pops. thats awsome you know male family bonding and all, but it’s funny to me. Yeah fishing is the most boring sport, and a lot of punks play golf, bowl and fish because you can be fat, drunk and all sorts of fucked up to do them and they aren’t competative unless you are in a league or an actual compatition, so I always think of punks in punk clothes doing these things. Like playing golf in black plaid, and having jolly rodgers on thier golf balls, or having a small skull incased in acryllic as a bowning ball, or having plaid wadders and wearing Docs while fishing in a stream, or ice fishing wearing skates and a hocky sweater, though I guess this is just me because I would do all those things... lol Sorry I’ve been awake way to long in the last few day with too little sleep, and I’m heading into 3 days of graveyards... working from 10pm till 6am, it’ll suck, and I have to miss club, but oh well, we’re short stafffed and I need the money , so well, I’m done babbleing for now, maybe another later..

Ahhhhhh. St. Patty’s Day... now I won’t get all all politcal/religious with this, though I could, I’ll just say I’m a mick and damn proud of it even though our day is named after a cathlioc saint, who wasn’t irish, but thats 1600 years old. So my plan was to get to Downtown/Old Town Sac as early as possible, noon or eralier,, and meet up with several friends and a couple of co-workers, well that didn’t happen. I worked till 6 sunday morning, slept alot of the day then went to club and started my celebrating, alot of guiness and that through off the bartenders that are use to me getting sierra nevada. After club my ride wanted to goto Denny’s and alot of you know that I never go there after dancing, but I had monday off, so I said fuckit and went, and just had a bunch of tea. then came home and crashed.... till about 1sh... so that already fuck my plans off. After playing on the porn box here for a bit I finally got moving and got off light rail in midtown at around 4ish. I went to The Beat, great indy record store for those that don’t know, and got the newest Dropkick Murphys, the new Flogging Mokky and the new Bauhaus cds. DKM, and FM, are way amazing, buy them when you see them, the new Bauhaus is ok, but not worth the 25 year wait, D/l it if you get the chance and nothing else is catching your fancy.... sooooo after getting good new tunes and walking a few blocks back to k&13th I started my pub tour. Gallaghers first, got a pint of the black stuff (and not bartender knew what that phrase ment mind you) and while I was drinking it a guy in a motorized wheelchair took a header off of the 3 wide steps that are in front and the paramedics and FD got called out.... hope he’s ok. On from there, falling in love with the new Flogging Molly I get to River City Brewing Co. and get a pint of their Stout, and notice that they have new glasses, I collect Pint glasses, so I asked how to get on and the tenderf says they got a tasting in the back, $5 for a pint glass and 2 samples..... I’m sold, don’t even remember what samples I got but I got a new pint and chatted up the cutie that was pouring, but then it was off to O’Mally’s.... Mistake. Now don’t get me wrong I LOVE O’Mally’s, great beer, good food, and an awsome atmosphere, and very mick (I like calling us irish micks, I have nothing aginst the word, most of us are either Mc something, or have that in our family’s past so its not derogatory to me) friendly. but it way fucking small.... and folks were packed in like sardines with a shoe horn, it sucked, got a pint then got outta there, had a smoke with a lovely lass that worked at 2 Grand, then went to Fanny Ann’s to get some food and another drink before the Parade, it wasn’t too packed yet. But they actually had a tender upstairs and I’ve never seen that in my many times there, so I chatted that lass up a little too, but the parade was about to start so I had to take my leave. The parade was the main goal, I could’ve stayed home and drank guiness nut I wanted to see the Pipers and Dancers and hand with mick instead of the scotch bastard that I live with (LOL you know I love ya Sid) It was awsome, saw great irish matching bands and step dancers, saluted vets, PD, and FD, and hung my head for the ROTC, met a couple of Shriners, and well, thats something for later, and clapped my hands sore and red with the music. After the Parade I headed back to Fanny Ann’s, since I thought there would be space there. On the way I here "MIKEY" and see one of my lovely customers sitting in front, so I sit and talk and offer drink after a smoke, and it was great, we had a car bomb each, and the rest of the pitcher of guiness after, had a group of ladies take pics of us and hung out upstairs till her fam wanted to leave. After that I head home, stop back at Gallaghers on the way to quinch a thirst before the long light rail and bus ride home ward.
Then it gets bad.... met up with a friend and we fought and this time not because of my... but after that my roomie shoots me with an Airsoft gun and welts my are, so I tell his wife that hes getting kicked in the nuts, and after explaining why, I do it, then he shoots my 4 time with 2 different guns in my package and it stings like a mother fucker for a while, and it turns into 2 days of my getting popped by both Sid and The Kid with AS guns.... it sucks but I did get a little payback, and if they keep it up, they’ll get it 10 fold when I’m ready HAHAHAHAHAHAHA..... so yeah that was St. Pattys..... all in all great just a couple of bumps... but thats ok, I’ve had worse, and I’ve had better, nothinsgs perfect

So yeah, we’ve been back in our place since the middle of febuary, and I know I’ve been slacking on the blogging, and being really bad on the friends tip. So here is some overall and personal updates. First right before we moved back in I went and saw the Horrorpops.... Awsome, thats all I can say, my neighbor The Kid let me borrow their new disk and one of my co-workers set it down on a counter and it got all sorts of scratched up so I owe him a new one, and I said some things that I sohuldn’t to a friend that had been outta my life for 12 years and was now back in it, but I done fucked that up ( I really need to e-mail and kiss much ass, don’t wanna lose people anymore) but other then that it was a great show, though I wish they would’ve played more from thier first cd Then my birthday was on feb. 20, but the roomies were both sick, and most people were either at work or forgot, so the only thing I did was have The Kid take my no car having ass to Staples to get what my folks sent my, and that happened to be a brand new compy.... New Compact Presario (I happen to love them) 250 gb hd, DVD/CD burner, with lightscribe pentium dual-core..... blah blah blah, but its nice, then I got alot of good beer at BevMo, though The Kid was supposed to help with a hardware issue I have and still hasn’t a month later.... and he live a 15 second walk away...... bastard lol. I also recently got back into contact with a dear friend that we has pretty much lost contact because of what she had been doing, but is now off of, and it was really cool spending time with her. Besides that, and working thats all thats happened really besides monday, but thats another blog.
To those I’ve forgot to get back to: Mr. M. Montoya.. sorry, how could I forget a birthday twin, hope yours was better then mine. Mz. C. Sparks (no matter what your last name is while married you’ll always be that to me) Sorry I forgot your birthday too, but its hard to get a hold of you somethimes. call me Mrs. Rivera. As you can tell by this, I did get back in.... you stop at the store but never say hi, come inside more offten Mrs. S. Case (Ne,. Schorn) Sorry I missed your birthday as well, and I hope things are going better, you can always call, if you still have my if not shoot me an email, and I’ll give it to you again. Mr. Farmer.. hope Basic is going better then ’97.... we gotta drink again when youre back in town, I’ll bring it up to your missus next time I talk to her.
To everyone else, I love you all..... and I’ll be on alot more, and hopefully boring you with my blabbering..

Ahhhhh, my first blog since we got access, and it'll most likely be my last for a while. For those of you not in Nor Cal, we had an insane storm system come through, the worst in Sac since '87, and it done fucked us all up. Friday I woke up to my roomie Chy calling me from the living room and waking me to say that our roof was blowing away, and it was. We lost about 60% or so of our roof shingles, and most of the tar that was under them, to the point that we have exposed plywood and roof beams over about 40% of the house. We have water damage to just about every room, and our land lord has to have contractors fix the roof and the walls, so for the next week at least we get to go crash at my roomie sid's folks place. It's not the greatest situation, but at least he has really awsome folks , except when he and I and a few others were drinking mgd in the garage before a Deftones show when we were 18, but that was years ago and beyond the point. What sucksa is that I can't sleep in my own bed for a week and it's not by my own volition. And also, it really sucks to ride a bike in this weather! I've been through worse but this still sucks, and it's not even the rain, I love the rain for the most part, and I can handle 115 degree temps, but I HATE the wind. I really wanted this year to be better then last and so far it hasn't, though I can't say for sure which year started worse yet, we are only one week and 2 days into 2008, I'll see how it goes between now and my birthday, hopefully it gets better. It has gotten better for me a little though. Everyone that knows me, or sees me alot knows that I always have a beer in my hand, and I normally get kinda out of hand after a while, well thats stopped. I haven't quit drinking, but I have cut back so much, what I've drank since I woke up on the first I think I've drank as much as I used to in a day or so, I went from a 12 pack or so a day to only drinking a couple of times, and although I don't really feel it yet I know I'm getting a little healthier, well that and riding a bike uphill into the wind. But I think I'm going to end this for now because I have (GASP) other stuff I have to do online before we head to Sid's folks place tomorrow, and I still gotta pack, so I leave you with this...... .......... Till next time

Well, my flight leaves at 1450 local time, just 14 and a half hours. Its been nice seeing my folks, but I am ready to come home. It's only been a week but I miss Sac. I miss my friends, and haveing a cell phone that works (stupid metro, they need to expand out here before I come out again) I miss the weather, I can't wait to be away from these sub freezing tempuratures. I also miss being able to walk into almost any store and buy desent beer, here we gotta go to the base, or goto a resturant or brewery, or the irish pub to get anything over 4.2% and I almost never drink anything like that. I also can't wait to see certain people, go to club, or even just go somewhere, anywhere other then stores. We're going to be leaving the house fairly early because there are some books that both my mom and I want the come out in the morning, and SLC is about a 30-45 minute drive from here. The only good things about getting to the airport early here is that there is a smoking section right across from a bar, so I know what I'll be doing for the 2 hours I'm there before my flight, hope they have good beer there. The worst part about going home though is that I'll be off line for a while, hope we get internet access at the house soon, also I wont be able to mooch off my folks anymore, but thats ok. Well, I think this will end it for now, I'll talk to you all soon.

Well fuck it's been a while. For those of you who don't know, Karen and I broke up, and since I had been living with her I had to find a new place to live, but thats all I will say about that, I have nothing bad to say right now. Ok so I moved in with my bro Steven and his grandma, it was cool living with him, but it was in a garage, and his grandma is kinda crazy. After a while my dear friends Sid and Chy offered me their spare bedroom, and I excepted. Its cool living there and some of you might remember when I lived with them before a couple years ago, so I'm in a good place and situation at the moment. Sid is drumming in the band Blind Addrenaline, and they pratice at our place, and there is actually a place to set up my amp and play myself, so thats cool.
So today (well since its after midnight, yesterday) was thanksgiving. Hope everyones was good. Mine was spent in a suburb of SLC. Yes Utah, where my folks moved back in '99, and it is cold as fuck here, my norcal ass is not use to this, fricken 19 degree over night lows, it sucks. Well the weather sucks, getting to see my folks is pretty good. I got in tuesday, and was able to find good beer at the shopette on base, and then wednesday we went to this Irish pub called Mac Cools. There we had an actual brit waitress and we all started talking beer, she sugjested something but I saw they had a Barleywine Ale, and if you know what those are, you know they're strong. She says if I order it she can only serve me 2 and then no more beer because of how stropng it is, I thought yeah right this is Utah, they put big green stickers on Natty Ice that say "STRONG BEER" , so I get it, and it turns out to be something like 10.4% ABV!!!! My folks didn't even know they could serve that in state, then we find out it was from a brewery in SLC. So that was cool. Today we did the whole dinner thing, and tomorrow it's christ's mass decorating time, doing it the day after thaanksgiving is a family tradition. After that I don't know, but I'll be online everynight till monday, and hopefully we can get internet access at my new place soon so I can start writting and borring you all again. Well I'm going to end this now.
