Blue Venus is hot off the press - February 2006. This is the first release since Joy was named Best Jazz Artist at the IMA Music Awards. Judges included the exquisite artists: Tom Waits, Arturo Sandoval, and Don Bryan.

The album includes nine original compositions and one traditional french song. Blue Venus rides the landscape between vintage 1930s style jazz and etherial electronic ambient music.

The song "King of Midnight" from Blue Venus is currently a finalist in the ISC International Songwriting Competition.
