*** The Zach Pack Newsletter ***
November 2009 Edition

 Howdy!

Wow. It's nearly November. Where did October go? What I remember of the 3
days it seems that was October was the absolute stunning beauty on the
deep reds and neon oranges of the leaves this season. It felt to me like
3-D, though we're in 3-D already, so some sort of 4-D! Several times this
month, I had to stop and just breathe as the colors came to life.

November is Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Month. Visit www.lustgarten.org
for more info. This is one of the most aggressive and lethal of cancers. I
donate a lot of time and effort to cancer organizations, especially this
one, because if I can help one person not have to go through this, or not
have to go through what my father and family had to deal with, then all
the time in the world is worth that.

November is also Vegan Month! What a perfect time to add more veggies and
meat alternatives to your diet! Plus, going vegetarian/vegan is the single
best thing that any individual can do to combat global warming! It's
better than getting a Hybrid car actually! And you will see immediate
health benefits, too!
See you soon.

I. NEWS FLASH:
* The Official Zach Holiday Bash will be @ Northside on Dec 3rd @ 8pm!
It's free, and there will be many special guests! Oh yeah.

* The Huffington Post just reviewed our record. And not only that, it was
written by the legendary Phil Ramone.

* You can buy the new CD, What I Meant to Say, online at
www.zachmusic.net/order.thml . Or you can get it at Itunes or off of
CDBaby.com/zach4. Or you can come out to a show, pick it up as well as one
of the 3 limited edition T-shirts, DVDs, buttons, and more!

* You really should check out www.buffalozef.blogspot.com and sign up to
follow the daily band blog! Yes, daily! The whole band will be adding
their thoughts and insights in daily doses! (Also, look for a monthly
podcast to start soon!). Plus, this is the exclusive place for my blogs,
pics, and thoughts while on the West Coast tours.

* Let's talk briefly about House Concerts. Yes, you can have me (and/or my
band) perform in your house for your friends! Sound like fun? It is! It is
an intimate experience that you will not soon forget! And it's really
pretty easy, too! We can even do some full band house concerts for anyone
interested in that experience! Email me at zach@zachmusic.net, and we can
make it happen! There are even some availabilities this holiday season!
What  better Christmas (or other holiday/ birthday) gift!!! You can also
check out this video for a little helping hand and/or some ideas!

As always, all Breaking News is at www.zachmusic.net, where you can also

pictures, videos,  and much more!

tasting!

2 • Enjoy the Full Moon!

3 • ELECTION DAY •  (OH) • Vote. Vote. Vote. I officially say NO to Issue

With summer over and fall in full swing, we come to think about the winter time. Not that I or many of us actually want to do that, but with the approaching cold, it's a great time for a house concert!

You can have wonderful entertainment and good friends without leaving the warmth and comfort of your own home!

It's easy! It's fun! And it's something that you won't soon forget.

House concerts are wonderful intimate shows that I find are more of a conversation with music than a typical club or coffeehouse kind of show. They are always unigue and fun!

No space is too small really. Or too large!

If you're still unsure or nervous, watch this little clip about house concerts:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iC-9Xbn5Smo
or http://concertsinyourhome.com/beahostintro.html

Email me @ zach@zachmusic.net if this sounds like a wonderful way to spend a winter evening!

I'm looking forward to performing for you!

Namaste.

October
2009 Edition

Howdy!

Fall is officially upon us. I have said many times that I am a fan of fall - pumpkin pie, changing leaves and colors, light jackets. This year though, I can honestly say I am not looking forward to winter. The last 2 Ohio winters have really been long and cold. But it's not time for that yet.

The 4th Annual Evening for Chuck was a nice success! We raised nearly $6,000! Thanks for your support, and we look forward to next year (Sept. 12th, 2010)!

I'd like to ask you to mark your calendars for Oct 11th. It is a Sunday. I am performing at the Mountain Rose Concert Series in Kent (address in the tour dates section). It kicks off at 7pm. But the real reason I think you should be there is that I am sharing the night with Charley Brown. Charley is one of the main reasons Im performing and this far along. He is a mentor and wonderful friend. I have a feeling this is going to be truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience and show. Charley's been playing for over 40 years and has written songs for some folks you know. He's amazing. Really.

See you soon.

I. NEWS FLASH:

* We'd like to wish our drummer and friend, Dominic Tancredi, a wonderful wedding and much future success as he has decided to move on to some other opportunities. And at the same time, we'd like to welcome our new drummer, Brandon Austin, to our musical landscape! He'll be making his public debut this week at Northside and the Canton Palace Theater!

September 2009 Edition

 Howdy!

This is the 1st of 2 emails I will be sending to y'all this month. This is my normal overview of September. The 2nd will deal solely with Evening for Chuck (my annual pancreatic cancer benefit).

August has had a few real high notes for me. Playing a sold out show at the House of Blues with Trevor Hall was one of the true highlights of my summer! Doing Burning River Fest, Rock the Block, and returning to the House of Blues with the Coldplayers were also great moments!

However, one of the brightest moments for me was a conversation with a deeply spiritually tuned-in man the other night specifically about the artist in relation with the cosmos/God/creativity/Love. Perhaps I'll blog about that soon - once I've had a moment to truly digest it. (Which, but the way is at www.buffalozef.blogspot.com).
See you soon.

I. NEWS FLASH:

*VERY IMPORTANT to me personally - This September the 13th will be the 4th Annual Evening for Chuck pancreatic cancer benefit at Musica in Akron. All proceeds go to the wonderful Lustgarten Foundation. It's an all-day music, food, fun uplifting celebration of life featuring Rachel Roberts, David Ullman, Eclyptic, the Woovs, Faces Made for Radio, TM Gottl, and my own band headlining. Plus a few special guests, raffles, and speakers. We've raised over $20,000 for this event so far, so please come out, and tell your friends about it, and help us really bring some hope to the 35,000 people and their families that are going to be facing, and the majority dying from, this disease. The show kicks off promptly at 1pm. $10.

* Akron Life and Leisure Magazine and their 45,000 readers named us as the Best Local Band (behind the Black Keys)! We are thrilled with this kind recognition!
