A few weeks ago Paul Keeley released Sunset At Midnight, a new 12" vinyl EP on the Australian EQ Grey label. It is available to purchase from Juno Records, among many other shops. This record has soared to the top of the Balance Record Pool charts within one month of its release. For some extra insight, check out Dan Mangan's recent interview with Paul for Beatportal.

We got some exciting news this month. EARLabs has published a label feature on Panospria and interview with Scant Intone. In addition, EARLabs contributor Larry Johnson also took the time to compile a 2½ hour mix from our catalog! We encourage you to check out the interview and have a listen to the mix. Many thanks to EARLabs, Larry and our listeners everywhere. Your support is greatly appreciated.

Suoni Per Il Popolo kicks off this weekend, a festival that runs the entire month of June each year in Montreal. There will be two excellent shows featuring Wapstan, the first being on Friday June 1st where he will play as part of Tandoori Dream with Shoebomber. The second is Sunday June 3rd, when he will do a special collaboration with Kolumkilli. Both of these shows are being held at the Casa Del Popolo. Then on Wednesday June 13th, Scant Intone will do a solo performance at La Sala Rossa for the final edition of Epoxy, a concert series curated by Eric Mattson from Oral Records. The line-up also includes sets by Steve Bates, Julien Roy and Vromb. Finally on Sunday June 24, No Type and Panospria will join forces for a label showcase night. From No Type we'll have performances by the label directors A_Dontigny and Camp as well as Milliseconde Topographie. To represent Panospria we have chosen The Fold and Yellowknives, two new duos that have been playing a few low-key shows over the past months. Both acts have albums completed for release this summer on different labels. Rounding out the bill is Carrie, our two very special guests from Mexico who have released music on the Static Discos label. This goes down at Casa Del Popolo for a measely $7. It also happens to be St-Jean Baptiste Day, so Monday will be a holiday. We hope to see you there! Also a huge thanks goes out to Autodestrukt for drawing up the excellent poster for this show.

So, the last few weeks have been a good to us. First off, our 25th release Saskatoon Shoes was the most downloaded net-label release on the Internet Archive since its release in April. Secondly, this month we were included in the Telepolis Top 10 Net-Labels list, ranking second behind our friends at Thinner! The author even compared us to the Sähkö imprint out of Finland, which is excellent. Have a look at our calendar for a listing of our concert dates in June, as we'll have artists participating in festivals such as Mutek and Suoni Per Il Popolo in Montreal as well as Electro-Music in Philadelphia. In addition, our friends The Unireverse will be in Europe soon for two weeks of shows in Spain and Germany. If you're in the area, definitely check them out!

Earlier this month we released Saskatoon Shoes, some of the newest works by our friend Nuthre out in Victoria. Aside from being a wonderful piece of work, it is quite a special milestone for us as it marks 25 releases in our catalog. Now spring is in the air, and we're ready to step up our game yet again. We hope to release plenty more music and with greater frequently as well. We've planned an eclectic batch of releases to take us into the warm months, including works by fellow Canadians Élément Kuuda, Shoebomber, Reno Air and Mennonoise, as well as three more international guests Off The Sky, T-Polar and Sound_00. Many thanks from all of us for listening and for sending your encouraging comments. It looks like another great year ahead.

While it is true that we haven't had an update to the blog since September, we assure you that things have been rather busy here in Montreal. If you would like to keep up with the news from us, you can subscribe to our mailing list on the main page. That way you will be informed about new releases, upcoming events and so forth.
Well, it is now December. There is snow on the ground and the sky is already dark by four in the afternoon. Winter is the season where we Canadians generally stay indoors for long periods, working dilligently on our unfinished projects until the flowers bloom in spring. During this time we have some wonderful music in the pipeline to be released on Panospria, as well as some new vinyl and cd releases by Paul Keeley, Heart & Soul, The Fold, Scant Intone and others which will surface on other labels.
As for shows, you can still find us jamming out for Textures at Pharmacie Esperanza in Montreal on the last Saturday of each month, and we are planning to put on additional shows at other sweet venues around the city as well. Plus, we've already begun planning some tour dates in Europe for June 2007, with dates in Germany, Sweden, Finland and the surrounding area. Some artists you can expect to be traveling through are Nuthre, Scant Intone, Blakkar Noir and The Unireverse. Please send us a message if you could help us out with organizing something.
Also of note, we have two clips up in video section. The first is an interview with Gyges at Mutek Festival 2006, and the second is live footage of Turner Of Wheels, Scant Intone and Blakkar Noir playing for the Arscenique series at Blizzarts in Montreal.
On behalf of all of the artists, we offer our sincerest thanks to everyone for listening and supporting us through yet another great year. It is because of you that we are onto bigger and better things in the coming months.
Have fun over the holidays. Play safe. Hoods up.
