French beatmaker and partner in crime Quetzal has just released his first solo album called "Vision".

I think I know him well, and he managed to give the people a beautiful project that really sounds like him and his various influences (afro-carribean music, hip-hop, latin and reggae). I'm not a journalist so it's hard to explain my opinion, but I really think this album is dope, you never get bored, it's perfect for summer, and the packaging is amazing.

Only the CD is out so far, but a 2LP version will come out soon.

Last October, I got the opportunity to be selected as a participant  to the prestigious Red Bull Music Academy.
Read the old blog if you want to have my impressions.

Anyway,
Here's one of the tracks that came out the sessions we had in Barcelona.

Pursuit Grooves prooves she's not only dope on the beats, while Fatima showcases her natural talent over a co-production between the mighty Dorian Concept and myself.

The song is called "Are You Satisfied?".

A secret background singer is not credited...
Clue: He was one of our studio teachers.

Concerning the beat, Dorian and me made it in like 5 minutes. Dorian was playing in another studio, and in between sessions, he just came in and play some beautiful chords with a Nordlead synthesizer over the drums provided by my MPC. I then added a few samples in the background, he added the bass and there you have it.
This beat is two-tracked. Raw mix, straight out the mpc. It was so hectic over there that we didn't have time to mix it.
