Hey everyone

As you know, in the past few months we've been searching for labels to put our new album out there. Unfortunately we didn't get lucky. There were a few labels interested, but none presented us with a good offer.


But...the album WILL be out on RAGING PLANET RECORDS / OH DAMN! PRODUCTIONS sometime in May/June! An official date will be announced soon!


However, we decided to make our album available for download on APRIL 25TH! This will also be a OH DAMN! PRODUCTIONS & RAGING PLANET release!


So, make sure you come listen to our new album "BURYING SAINTS" on the 25th! The download will be a Myspace exclusive!

6º/7º Day - GUITAR IN PROGRESS

We started recording the guitars yesterday, its sounding fucking heavy with the Peavy 5150II pumping like a muderfucker, lets wait and see whats coming next. We will have videos for you guys as soon as we get home!
Dont forget, we will be presenting the new drummer on july the 6th at the Transmission Bar with One Hundred Steps, We Are The Damned and All Emotions Day. DONT MISS IT!

So Bruno did a great job recording the bass tracks, laying out 12 of them in just two days!

Hey guys so, we are now in the middle of the recording of the drums, and its sounding sick, our new drummer Nuno its definitely a great new acquisition to the band!

Hey everyone!


As some of you know, our friend Nuno Silva (a.k.a. Franjas) is helping us out with some shows!

But meanwhile, we're looking for a permanent drummer, because unfortunately, Nuno doesn't have the availability to help us write our debut album, which will be recorded in May.

We need a new full-time drummer, so we can carry on with the writing process!

So, if you're a drummer, from Lisbon and if you're interested in playing with us, here are the requirements you'll need to gather:

Hey guys so here's the thing, our long time best friend and drummer Bernardo Gavino has left the band. The reason behind this decision has to do with some differences felt between him and the band, and also because he wanted to pursuit other goals in his life. We wish him the best of luck in every future project he will have. He was an important member of the band and with his awesome drumming helped turn us into what we are today.
 Filling in for him, temporarily, we will have Nuno Silva, aka. Franjas (ex-Twentyinchburial, Forgodsfake, Hills Have Eyes) behind the drum kit! He's an awesome drummer and a great friend, and he will be helping us out in some next shows!
We are still in the process of writing the album, and in May of next year we will record it.
Yeah it's taking longer than we expected, but because we want it to be perfect, we really want to take the time we need to write an awesome album. Meanwhile we want to keep playing live as most as we can, so book us for shows in your town, do it by sending us a message here on myspace or by e-mail at: beforethetorn@hotmail.com

About the Merchandise, we will have the "From Treason To Darkenss" t-shirts again, and we're gonna make a brand new model, "The Crest" soon, another one done by Gabriel Bueno.

Pois é pessoal, como alguns de voces ja sabiam o nosso grande amigo e baterista original Bernardo Gavino saiu da banda. A sua saída teve a ver com algumas divergências sentidas por ele e pela banda e pelo facto dele querer seguir outros e novos projectos da sua vida. There have been several people asking us about concerts, merchandise and the recording process. Unfortunately, we haven't been able to answer to everyone's questions individually, so what we're going to do is to give everyone a general update of what's been happening with the band…

At the moment, Before The Torn are going through a long and continuing process of writing the debut album, which explains the fact that we're not playing as many shows as we would like. However, we're ALWAYS looking for new concerts, so if you're interested in booking us, or if you know someone who would be interested in booking us for a show, please send us a message with your proposal. As soon as new concerts are confirmed, they will be displayed on our page.

As for our merch, as of THIS SUNDAY we're going to have the new t-shirts available for sale! You can find all the information for sizing and prices on our page!
We will soon have new merch, this time with a new design and it won't be a t-shirt, but HOODIES! So place your orders NOW if you'd like to kick off this winter with brand new Before The Torn merch!

As for the album, since we're still writing it, and because we want it to sound as good as possible and make this a great album, we can't announce the release date yet. The only thing we know is that it WILL be out early next year (2008).
In the upcoming weeks, we will be sending several promo packs to all kinds of labels, especially foreign ones (mainly European and North-American), and also to some press.

We would like to thank for all the wonderful comments we've been receiving about our new song! We really appreciate your support! It's because of this that we're still fighting!

Tem havido varias questoes á cerca de concertos, merch, e gravaçao ao qual nao temos tido hipotese de responder a todos individualmente, por isso atravez de bulletins e de um blog vamos tentar fazer um ponto de informaçao mais ou menos geral...

De momento os Before The Torn, encontram se em constante composiçao do album, dai nao estarmos a tocar com muita frequencia, no entanto estamos sempre á procura de concertos, por isso se tiverem interessados deixem nos uma msg com as vossas propostas...Os concerto assim que confirmados estarao na lista de concertos do nosso Myspace.

Quanto ao merch, apartir de domingo vamos ter as novas t-shirts á venda, tem a informaçao toda a cerca dos tamanhos, preços etc...

Quanto ao album como estamos ainda em fase de composiçao de maneira a que saia tudo muito bem e como nos queremos nao podemos avançar ja com datas, mas o album é certo que irá sair em principios de 2008...

Yoooo, Pois é pessoal, foi tudo muito de repente, mas amanha dia 1 de Setembro entramos no Quickpunch Studios, para começar a gravar uma demo, de 3musicas uma especie de pre-produçao do album, para tentarmos mostrar a algumas editoras o que será o nosso album, tentar trabalhar e ganhar mais interesse nesse meio editorial, durante estes proximos tempos de gravaçao da demo/album, vamos tirar fotos, fazer videos, etc... para que voces possam ver parte do processo, e possam conhecer melhor a banda tambem!

Vamos tentar actualizar o máximo possivel de noticias sobre as gravaçoes...

Yoooo, so guys it was all very suddent, but tomorrow we'r entering at the Quickpunch Studios to start recording a 3 song demo from the album, so we can show it to some Labels and try to get some of their attention, during the studio time, we'r going to videotape, photograph and post it here as soon as possible, so u can see part of the process and get to know the band better!

Bass & Guitars - during this past week

So guys we have almost finished all the instrumental parts today, Bruno on the bass did a very good and quick job on the tracks putting some background melodies, hope everyone likes it, next thing we know pufff guitar tracks are almost done, Joao and Nuno did everything so smooth and perfect we are amazed by the way all 3songs are sounding, just a few little things were left to do. On the next studio session, where we'r going to start recording the vocals....Soon we will put some more pictures for u....stay aware

Hey everyone, so we had to wait a week for Marco to arrange a couple of things just for editing purpose's, and we kept tracking, what was left from the guitars and we also started to recording some of the vocals...its sounding heavy already, and the sound its not even done yet, here's some photos...

Hey guys wazzaa?!so yeasterday we finished the vocals and everythings set to do the guitars and bass sound and then it comes the mix & master....

The vocals went really good, we have a very melodic song with our guitar player Joao singing in it, it turn out really awsome, the main vocals are brutal as never seend before, here's some pictures for u from this last session...

Hoo and btw regarding the new song we still not sure wich one to put on the myspace, but stay aware cuz on the 10th of October the song will be there with full power to blow everyone away....
