Hello friends!
The Basie is sending you on a little quest... buried somewhere within our website (www.countbasietheatre.org) are 4 tiny Artie Lange icons. There is a pair of free tickets up for grabs for each of the icons!
All you need to do is visit www.countbasietheatre.org and start searching through our site. If you find a tiny Artie Lange icon (he will be in a leather jacket and holding a microphone) just click on it -- this will use Outlook to automatically send an email letting us know you've found the icon!
In the interest of keeping things fair for those who may not have Outlook - we have 1 extra pair of tickets to give away from a random drawing of everyone who becomes our fan on Facebook (www.facebook.com/countbasietheatre) and enters their name on our wall along with typing the word FINDARTIE.
Please note: In order for your entry to be valid, please include your name, address, age & phone number in the email. We will notify you *via email* if you are the first person to find that icon and win a pair of tickets! Contest closes by 5pm on Friday, August 21st (the day of the show) or by the time all icons have been found-- whichever comes first.
IMPORTANT: The FIRST person to claim an Artie icon will be declared the winner of that particular icon. You will be notified *via email* if you are the winner. PLEASE WAIT TO HEAR CONFIRMATION FROM COUNT BASIE THEATRE TO VERIFY YOUR WIN. Only 1 winner per icon, and you may not claim more than 1 icon yourself. Seating is at the discretion of the box office and tickets are non-transferable. Each of the 5 chosen winners will receive a pair of tickets to the Artie Lange show on Friday, August 21st at 8pm. All transactions are final and there are no exchanges. You must have photo ID to pick up your tickets the night of the show- they will be held at the will call window. Winner must be 18 or older.
Good luck, everyone!!!

Hello MySpace friends!
Wanted to pass along a note from Adam Duritz of Counting Crows regarding their upcoming tour (including the August 26th date here @ the Basie-- got your tickets yet???? VIP oppurtunities still available!) so be sure to spread the word and we'll see you there!
*..*..*..*..*..***************
A Note from Adam - Get Ready for the Saturday Night Rebel Rockers Traveling Circus & Medicine Show
Dear Everyone-..Who-..Happens-..To-Read-This,
I know you're all used to showing up at 8:30 or 9PM for concerts that started at 7. It's understandable... You're there to see YOUR band and you're showing up when you think they're gonna play, right? Well, starting on Thursday July 16th at Marymoor Amphitheatre in Redmond, Washington, that's all going to change.
Ladies and Gentlemen, at 7:15PM, when the curtain goes up on The Saturday Night Rebel Rockers Traveling Circus & Medicine Show, Augustana AND Counting Crows are all going to be walking out onstage together and that show is going to start with EVERY SINGLE ONE OF US onstage singing and playing our brains out. We'll do a few songs together and then it may be Counting Crows that plays the first set alone. I don't know exactly how the shows going to run every night. It'll definitely be different a few days later in Friant, CA when Michael Franti & Spearhead join up. It'll probably be different every night. The only thing I know for sure is that EVERY show on this tour is going to start with EVERYONE onstage together and we're going to all be running on & off stage all night playing on each others songs and playing songs all together and basically just playing whenever we feel like playing. So you get my point, right?
GET HERE ON TIME!
Cuz when the curtain rises...THE CIRCUS BEGINS
