We will update this blog every time a new episode of our sketch series, "Comedy Gumbo", is released. It's a 10-episode sketch show that features over 60 sketches. We wrote/directed/produced/edited the whole thing, so it's 100% Awkward Pictures.
We've spent the last 7 months working on it and we're so excited to finally release it.

Hey everybody,

A lot of you have asked recently why we’ve been so quiet and haven’t released new videos. Well, that’s because we’ve spent the last 3 months of our lives, and also the next 2, on Awkward Pictures’ first web series. And it’s coming VERY SOON.

We don’t know the exact date yet, but it’ll be within the next month. We can’t tell you what our show is about, but we can tell you that there’s 10 episodes! Each week for 10 weeks, they’ll release a new episode. We wrote/produced/directed/acted/edited everything, meaning it’s a complete Awkward Pictures production, but on a much larger scale. We have a total of over 70 actors in the show, and we can’t wait for you guys to see it.

The show will be released on YouTube, on Sony Digital’s account, "C Spot". The website is http://YouTube.com/CSpot

GO THERE AND PLEASE SUBSCRIBE. You will know whenever a new episode comes out. A couple of our friends have some shows on there too. We acted in those, as well as directed a few episodes.

Hey everybody!

Payman directed short for Valentine's Day called "I Love You". It was written/stars our buddy Tyler Spindel. He's in our top friends, add him immediately. It also stars the wonderful Fiona Gubelmann and the hilarious Todd Glass. Chris Darnell (Awkward Pictures' Cinematographer), shot it, that's why it's so pretty. ;)

It's dedicated to every guy who's had trouble say ''I love you" and every woman who's had to deal with it.

Hey friends!

We just put up a new short that Payman directed called "The Tasty Burger". Sean produced it and plays the evil Rollerblader. Chris shot it. And our buddy Tyler Spindel wrote/stars in it. He's in our Top Friends, add him, he's a good man.

Hey everybody!

We've had a lot of people ask us where we've been lately, what we've been doing and when we're going to put out a new video. All valid questions and concerns. So, here's a little breakdown of what's going on:

- We just finished shooting the Sierra Mist ad. It should be ready by the end of the month. It's insane. It stars Sean, Payman and Chris.

- We're developing 2, possibly 3, web shows. So we've been writing and getting ready for those. We're pitching the shows to a few outlets, so hopefully we'll sell them soon.

- "Coffee Break", another web show by Awkward Pictures, is being edited as we speak. Sean created/wrote/directed it and Payman acts in it. It should be ready sometime in early October. A preview still image is at the bottom of the blog.

- Payman's directing 2 shorts next week that should be ready by the end of the month.

- In January, Payman will be directing a short he wrote that will star comedian Mario Joyner, Tom Konkle & Greg Benson of Mediocre Films. It's going to be crazy.

- Payman had his breasts augmented and he's finally beautiful.

- Sean's name is still Sean.

We're trying to make new shorts/sketches, but it's been really difficult lately because of everything going on. Before, we'd just write stuff and shoot it. Now we're just waiting for deals to go through and it's slowing down the process. But rest assured, we're working on new stuff and we'll have new shorts to share soon enough.

Thanks again for all of the support and please don't forget about us. We're trying our best to have new stuff to share. We love you more than we love lasagna, and I'd say that we're moderate fans of lasagna.

Hey everybody,

We just got back from San Francisco, as part of our prize from the YouTube Sketchies Contest. And we had a delicious time.

We went to YouTube's offices a few times and met everyone there. They are really really cool people. Payman used to work for Google, and YouTube definitely had that cool "Google Vibe." Good food too.

We're from the bay area, but we very rarely went to San Francisco, so it still felt like we were in a new strange city. We ate a lot of food. San Francisco, while mostly a trainwreck of a city, had some cool stuff.

The sweetest part of the trip was getting to see "Hot Rod" and meeting the Lonely Island guys. If you don't know them by that name, their names are Andy Samberg, Akiva Schaffer and Jorma Taccone. They're the guys who make the digital shorts on Saturday Night Live, like "Lazy Sunday" and "My Dick in a Box". "Hot Rod" is hilarious. It's easily the funniest movie that's come out this year. It's really silly and really fun to watch. We got to talk to the guys before and after the movie, and they're awesome dudes. They're very down-to-earth. It's great to meet extremely talented people who are still normal people. They said some nice things about our videos and we told them that they were pretty.

The next step is making an ad for Sierra Mist, and we'll let everyone know when that's online. We're writing new stuff right now, so we'll try to get some new vids out soon.
