"Grandfather" for solo double bass with electronics won the International Society of Double Bassists Composition Competition in the Media Division. I composed this piece in memory of my grandfather, John Stevenson. I will premiere it at the 2009 ISB Convention at Penn State University, June 8-13, 2009.

My solo CD/DVD is finally completed! It features a full length album of new music, some samples can be heard on my site. The videos on the DVD were recorded in October and November 2007 at Harriman State Park and Rockaway Beach in
New York, with the exception of Alpine which was filmed in Vail, Colorado. At Harriman, with my 150 year old bass on my back and a heavy backpack strapped to my front full of recording equipment, food, water, a laptop and a headlamp, I hiked two miles off the trail to find the perfect scene.
I hope you enjoy these videos as much as I enjoyed making them.

The CD/DVD comes in a hand made case, some are made of birch bark and some are painted. Each case is completely different and was made by myself and Annie Lynch.
