Current mood: tired
So I'm sure everyone already knows, but I had my baby girl on the 7th of July (yes, 7.7.07)! She's gorgeous and perfect and amazing. I couldn't be happier with her. Her birth left something to be desired for sure, though, after 36 hours of labor and an eventual c-section. She was coming down in the wrong position with her hand up by her head. Not the best for being born! She's here though and that's all I care about.
I can't believe she's already almost 2 months old. Shes already gained just under 4 pounds since she was born and she's growing out of her small clothes fast! She's smiling now, and has started laughing. She still sleeps a lot which I'm not complaining about, because I'm pretty tired myself all the time. I will be really happy when she starts sleeping in longer stretches during the night. I need a full sleep cycle like you wouldn't believe! She's already got this amazing personality though and I can't believe how much shes developed in only two months time. It's crazy and I love her more than words can describe.
Ian is a great Dad, too. He does so great with her, and it's so nice to have him around to help me out. I love weekend mornings, because when she wakes up, sometimes he will take her for me so I can sleep an extra hour and that is one of the most wonderful things ever.
Anyway. We went to Ikea yesterday and got some things for her since we had a gift card to the store that a friend of ours gave us. We got her a really cute dragon rug for her room, and I'll be happy to get everything set back up in there since we had to turn in into a guest bedroom while my parents were here this past weekend.

I just realized that it had been a long time since I had posted anything on here.
Not a whole lot is going on, other than waiting on the baby to show up, which she has a week til her due date. We'll see when she actually shows. I'm betting later rather than soon. My bet is July 3rd, at least.
I'm tired. Any suggestions on how to help labor start up?

I'm tired of painting. I love painting... but right now I'm tired of it. I somehow got purple all over my hand, and now I have to re-do a big section of the painting I'm working on. At least I'm familiar with what I want it to look like, so it shouldn't take me as long. I hope.
The baby kicks so much now. SO MUCH. I think she's going to be really active after she's born too, I'm just hoping that she won't be high needs and will be fairly easy other than enjoying moving around a lot.
Alison demanded a new photo, and I suppose I haven't put one up in a bit. I can't remember, anyway.
I wish it would be warm outside. I'm really upset that it was 70-75 a week ago, and now it's not going above 40 and is closer to freezing. Ugh. I want it to be warm so I can go out and enjoy the weather! I want to wear tank tops, not Ian's winter coat anymore (since mine doesn't fit)!
Anyway, here's that photo. 28 weeks! She's going to be here before I know it!

My cat got hurt really bad, but he is going to be okay. Here's the story!
I had made plans with my landlord to have him come down and help me put up baseboard in our bathroom, because I was getting really tired of bugs coming in and it needed to be sealed up. Our house is awesome, aside from the bathroom, which looks sort of like a war-zone because work is constantly being done to it. Anyway, so to do this, we needed to move the vanity out and disconnect the sink.
So we have the sink off the top of the cabinet, and the wooden cabinet part standing upright in our kitchen just as it normally would be if it were in the bathroom.
We get two baseboards up and realize we need another piece, so we're gluing the ones we have down and I stand up because I can't get down in one area that we're working on, due to the belly being in the way.
I'm standing in the door and I hear Emma, my fat orange female cat, try to jump on top of the vanity cabinet like she normally does. Only, she knocks it over when she realizes that there is no where for her to land, as the sink is no longer sitting on top. Now, while she's knocking it over, Elliott, my small cat, is inside of the cabinet, and attempts to run out the back of it since it is open in a big area in the back. All except for the sides and top edges, which help hold the sink on.
So as Elliott is running out the back of the cabinet, the top edge of it clips him on his back - and breaks his hip.
THANKFULLY, there was no spinal damage. At first when I saw all this happen, he was hissing and wasn't walking on his back legs at all, which the vet later explained to me, that that only happens when there is a shock to his system, to protect his spinal cord or something. I was really upset though, when I saw this, because I thought they were going to tell me that my cat was paralyzed and I'd have to have him euthanized.
He is going to be alright, which is the good part. And on top of everything, it seems as though if we were going to wait to have surgery, he would have needed it later anyways, so we'd rather get it done now. Especially since he's so young, it's important for us to allow him to have a good quality of life, which he will have now.
EDIT: Also, don't think I would be doing this kind of stuff if I didn't want to be or didn't feel I could physically do it. I'm not lifting anything over 20lbs, I don't think I even lifted anything during this entire process. In the words of my friend Megan, "I'm pregnant, not disabled". However, I do appreciate everyone's concern.

I love veggie corn dogs. Love them, love them, love them.
Almost 25 weeks, I can't believe it. I feel like the time is literally flying by. I can't believe I only have 15 weeks left, it feels like nothing. I've already done 15 weeks, it flew by too.
Fun stuff coming up soon. We get to start prenatal classes next month, I think in three weeks or so, I can't remember. Ian's Grandma and Grandpa are coming to visit, and I haven't met them, and best of all, two of our favorite people, Chris and Brent are coming to visit for a weekend and I absolutely cannot wait.
Like I said, the time is just flying by.
She moves so much now, too, it's amazing. She's like alien baby. I had a dream about her last night and what she looked like, I just remember it being odd 'cause she had brown eyes really early, and lots of blondish red hair. It was pretty cute, I can't wait to see what she's really going to look like. She didn't cry once in my dream either, she was a super calm baby and just liked to look around and take everything in.
It's 70 out today, and absolutely beautiful. I can't wait til this weather stays consistent and I'm able to have the windows open all the time. I had to tape some of the screens in since my cats kept knocking them out and attempting at a getaway.
My exciting life; waiting for baby girl, taping screens in windows, and 70 degree weather. Meh, it's perfect. I couldn't ask for more.

Help me out, we have a whole list of baby girl names which I'm sure will expand even more, but I'm just wondering what opinions you guys have!
I think Ian picked better names than I did but I'm going to mix them up anyways. I doubt we'll name her til we meet her but it's good to have a few narrowed down.
Evie River Lydia Reid Riley Ella Avery Isabel Petra ElizaAspen Cambria Rowan Beckett Isis Ophelia Meadow Isadora Matilda Zara Deila Aril
Opinions?
Oh and a new belly photo for Brittany!
20 weeks.

I love baby kicks. They are the most amazing things on the face of the planet. It started out really soft and infrequent, and now it's like I'm the baby's personal punching bag! I love it! I like knowing my baby is so active.
There was a woman on television a moment ago who was supposedly speaking english. I couldn't make out one single word she said. The news needs subtitles.
Bears! Seriously, I'm excited.

Not entirely too much is going on lately. I'm definitely getting bigger, which is weird. I suppose it's weird because I"m not used to being so big, and it isn't because I'm fat.
We will be finding out on the 8th on February if we're having a boy or a girl, and I can't wait, I'm so excited! The hospital is making me wait until 20 weeks, which bums me out because some people get to find out a lot earlier than that. Oh well, I need to learn to be patient.
I added a bunch of new photos from the day we got married and some other random stuff.

Current mood: excited
Well, I'm almost twenty three years old. Kind of strange, getting older, being married, thinking about family stuff constantly, you know?
This past week has been terrible, though I'm staying in good spirits to say the least. Our house flooded on Monday, and yesterday while I was doing laundry, some idiot tried to break into my house literally, right in front of me.
I've been trying to think karmically what I may have done wrong, but I really can't think of anything, sometimes shit just happens I suppose?
I'm excited though that my parents are going to be coming into town tonight, for my birthday, so I'm going to get back to cleaning, and semi-watching soaps.
