Our Live Release is currently in the works! We're currently listening to the tracks (well, Jordan and Dave are), and deciding how we want to go about this.
Looks like it's going to be called "Reaction"......
Solution - Catalyst - Reaction
So far my favorite tracks from the night are Paths, Billy's Number, Muse, Gone Are the Days and Last Lonely Saturday, Behind the Windows and Hamilton 302.....

Current mood: nostalgic
To all those that attended Saturday's CD Release Party, thank you! It was such a great night, and it was wonderful to see you all there. We really can't thank you enough for all the support you've given us and for all the great times we had together.
I'm looking forward to the DVD Release and the Live CD Pick Up Party, more on that later........
While C.O. won't be playing any more shows together, we will still be active on myspace...
Dave will more than likely be remixing some of our old stuff, and we'll also be releasing some other stuff on here. Of course there's the DVD too.....
So don't forget about us and stay tuned to see what happens in the world of C.O. We still don't know what's going on with Penetration, I think they have a myspace account now, it doesn't have any music on it, but those guys suck anyway, so that's good.

Current mood: grateful
Sometime back in 2001, I think in October or November Catalog Only played it's very first show, on February 11th, Catalog Only will play it's final show with it's current lineup. John and I (Jordan) have chosen to step away from the band on a full time basis and devote some more time to our personal lives and loved ones (we will keep you updated with the future plans for Catalog Only).
Over the next few months we've got some awesome things happening! On December 10th we'll be playing again at The Dive in Dearborn, it's always a great time there and the place is always packed, so if you won't be able to be at the Feb 11th Show, then be sure to catch us there. Now, if you can attend the Feb 11th show, here's the skinny:
On February 11th, Catalog Only will be releasing their FULL LENGTH CD - Catalyst (title may change). To celebrate, we will be having a HUGE CD RELEASE PARTY at RKS Studios in Pontiac MI. We will have an initial 200 pre-sale ticket/invitations that we will be extending to our most loyal fans. The price of the tickets is currently set at $20 and will include the following:
1. One copy of "Catalyst" 2. A Special Slip Cover featuring Alternate Art Work. 3. A Poster with our Album Cover Art. 4. Live Recording of that evening’s performance. 5. A Special Personalized Thank You Card from The Band. (beverages will also be provided)
Currently the plans are for this event to be a "Formal Dress" affair. So everyone should be dressed in your best!
After the initial 200 tickets/invitations are sold, there will be an undetermined number of tickets available ( and you will receive all of the above). The cost of these tickets has not yet been decided upon.
There will also be a very limited run of DVD’s available at the show. Currently titled “Thank You and Goodnight/The Spoils of Laughter”, this DVD will feature several Live Performances from CO from our Summer Tour, Emergenza and a few others. There will be some footage of the band members early projects, The Obscure and Little Wax Doll as well. Dave is also working on some music videos for some of our older songs that will be included on the DVD as well. The rest of the details are still in the works but this will be something that those of you who’ve followed us over the years will certainly want to add to your collection.
From the bottom of our hearts, Jordan, Brian, Wieck, Dave and John want to thank each and every one of you who have come out to support us over the past 4 years. We have been honored and our spirits have been lifted every time we had the opportunity to perform for you. Music has been a driving force in each of our lives (the band members) and one of the most intense, and moving experiences we could hope for is to create, perform, and know that our music has touched the lives of those around us. We hope that for those of you who have enjoyed our music, whether you've seen us live or only heard us through myspace, or on cd, truly understand what you mean to us.
"My hearts not so straight, but the paths we've laid, must have led you to, the paths you needed to be on." - catalog only
Infinite,
Jordan LaFramboise

So we're just about finished with basic tracking, all that's left is for John to lay down his piano (we've got a few other things to track, but to tell you would ruin the surprise). For those of you that have already downloaded some of the songs from the catalyst ep, we're making sure that there will be something new in these songs for all of you to hear when you get an actual copy of the cd. We're working really hard to make this our best recording yet and we can't wait to share it with all of you.

Looks like our recording will be going into September, as we have two more dates scheduled at Woodshed, Aug 31 and Sept 1st. We'll let you know how this effects the release of our EP.

Current mood: relaxed
As some of you already know, we'll be taking some time off from playing out. We've been working very hard by playing shows ever since we returned from our west coast tour nearly a year ago. Your support has kept us inspired and motivated. You deserve new songs, merchandise and bigger shows. It is our number one priority to give you what you deserve. That's why we must take a break.
We should be finished with our EP by the end of August and hope to have the finished product in hand by mid to late September. We should be back on stage by October. Start thinking of your Halloween costume because we WILL be hosting our annual Hall-O-Ween Bash! Stay tuned for details!
One more thing... Under no circumstances should you give John or Giertz a cigarette. They have officially quit smoking.
That's all for now... Any questions? This is the place to ask....

Emergenza Memories:
Alvins: Before the show, Giertz, Wieck, Dave and I all played pool, badly. There was drinking (not me), smoking (not me), panic (me) and sweating (me). I wore that really really hot shearling lined jean jacket and man was that a bad idea. There was so much energy in that crowd and it was the first time we felt your response, we didn't just hear it, you were that loud. And that was the first time I could really hear you all scream to the end of Luminous, I could hear you over the music, it was awesome. I met this kid, Matt after the show, and he's been to pretty much every show since. First Place! Good Times! Cass Cafe after the show with Andy, Lori, Dave, Singor, Nave, Melissa, Steve, Em, Chesley, one of Andy's friends, I know we pretty much destroyed the corner of the restaurant we were sitting in. Sorry.
Magic Stick: Ugg. I was feeling so horrible, booooo. It was the first time in like, a week and a half since the band had been together because I was a little cry baby and couldn't practice because I was sick. But sound check felt good, we were expecting another big crowd and we were ready to go. Hung out with Darren McCarty and MindCandy for a little while before the show, all nice guys, I doubt they remember me but oh well. They cut off the power at the end of Luminous, but Brian and I keep going and all ends well. Another great crowd, some new faces joined us that night (or newer). Nikki and Kathleen (I don't think Jess was there) but Nikki's been great to us, and she keeps bringing new people on board. Second Place by 5 votes, boooooo. But Projekt Gift did a great job and they really brought the crowd, so congrats to them. We knew we'd make it to the finals anyway.
Majestic Theater: By far the best night of the Festival. There were so many great people in the other bands, just a lot of genuine musicians, who wanted to see everyone do well, it was a surprise to me, especially in a competition. Woke Up in Vegas, My Machine, Natives, Two Day Kartwheel, Marashino, they were all stellar people. I have to say that William Wallace from My Machine was freaking hilarious. The stage was so hot, and there was a flipping sea of people out there. Easily the biggest crowd we've played to. Wieck unplugged my guitar during Breakdowm and I had to do something, so I spazzed out a little. Bad sound aside, the end of Luminous that night is something I will never forget. I looked out to the audience and there were so many people singing, and jumping, and pumping their fists. That song is so cathartic for me, and to hear and see and literally feel all of you right there with me was amazing. And I can't forget the two shirts of that night, first there's the "Am I Pregnant or Just Fat" shirt that Nikki and Kathleen made for me, then of course there's the Beater, Too Fat to Take This Off. Nice.
Anyway, it was awesome, it was great to see us get 3rd and even better that Brian was best drummer, which he more than deserved, even though I hate him.

All day today I've had a warm feeling about the whole of this emergenza festival. We worked hard, and every one of you who came out and/or send good vibes our way deserves our thanks. We love what we're doing together musically, obviously, and your appreciation brings these songs to life. Thank you--for everything. You all got us there with your votes and support, and we made our own way with the judges, and took 3rd overall, and we're very proud of that. (and giertz got best drummer, awesome).

All the best to you, John
