Yes, yes - its Glasto time again and I'll be mashing with tings down at Pilton Farm for the Galstonbury Festival. (i.e. The Worlds BEST music festival!)

I'll be introducing, watching and loving Engine-Earz (Asiatic Dubstep Guitar Klassical Indo Madness) the band on the BBC Introducing Stage (www.bbc.co.uk/introducing) on Friday June 26th 2009....

...then....

I'll be DJing at 1am Saturday night/Sunday early morning in something called the Bassline Circus Tent in the Shangri-La field just after Engine-Earz play their 2nd gig of the weekend in the same tent!

Phew - If your going then come up and say Hi-innit-One Time!

In addition, Friction welcomes cult live act SWAMI as well as PANJABI HIT SQUAD and SONNY JI from the BBC Asian Network to complete an awesome line up. Not to mention BOBBY FRICTION himself as your host, bringing the freshest sounds of the Asian Underground and the coolest Desi beats to Birmingham!

Each artist is hand picked by Bobby himself so expect to see the crème de la crème of exciting, fresh artists alongside leading world class tastemakers in one of the most unique settings in the UK.....Do not miss the debut of something very special indeed for the UK's second city.

Bobby Friction Quote: -

"I'm so excited about returning to The Custard Factory with my own night.  I had a beautiful couple of years DJ'ing there at the 'Shaanti' clubnights and have always loved the venue.  After running Friction nights in London I have made Birmingham, the 2nd City, my home and cant wait for things to kick off on the 24th October.  Panjabi MC is an amazing DJ, Swami just kill it when they play live and we're also welcoming Panjabi Hit Sqaud - The hardest working men in showbusiness.  Expect lots of what you've heard on my Radio 1 show, as well as my Asian Network show - and be warned! We intend to play some of the loudest B-Lines known to mankind as well as some of the most destructive Desi music in the universe!"
