We can highly recommend that you pop over to Canning Town to see the Bermondsey Joyriders at the Bridge House 2 on Saturday 29th November.

The band features Garry Lammin of cock sparrer, Marty Stacey of chelsea and Keith Boyce of the Heavy Metal Kids.

Having watched them work their magic at the Dirty South last week I would suggest you make this a must do gig.....

MAX SPLODGE AND SPLODGENESSABOUNDS

It is almost impossible to know where to begin describing the almost legendary Max Splodge and his exploits of the last 30 years.  He is a much loved and successful artist, famous not only for his talent, but also for his wild, weird and wonderful pranks and comic genius.

He is first and foremost a musician, having played in bands and solo worldwide in places as varied as the US, the UK and Europe as well as both the Czech and Slovak republics.

He has had two top ten hits with the self penned and universally known "Two Pints Of Lager And A Packet Of Crisps" and his own anthemic version of the Rolf Harris classic "Two Little Boys"

He has written for and performed on television, radio and in the theatre and is also renowned for his stand up comedy routines and punk bingo sessions.

Max still performs regularly both solo and with his band Splodgenessabounds as well as touring every year with acclaimed Ska band Bad Manners.  He is in great demand in both pubs and clubs as well as on the festival circuit and never fails to please any crowd, large or small.

SPLODGENESSABOUNDS BAND SET

Max performs a 45 / 60 minute set with his full band including all of his most well known tunes

MAX SPLODGE SOLO SET

Max performs a 30 minute acoustic set with a healthy dose of comedy thrown in for good measure.

PUNK BINGO

Max puts his world class Bingo calling skills to good use in this very silly, tongue in cheek evening of bingo.  Daft prizes, forfeits and general silliness are the name of the game.  Not to be confused with the real thing as this is so much better.

*Max brings his own 'old faithful' machine with him.

COMPERE or STAND UP

Max is an excellent host for any evenings entertainment and certainly shakes things up wherever he goes!  He can incorporate some of his solo acoustic set or Bingo if needed.

PLEASE HELP FIND US FIND BUSTER BLOODVESSELS TROUSERS

On Friday 8th August Bad Manners played in the empress Ballroom at the Rebellion Festival in ..:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" />Blackpool.  After the show Busters favourite Black and White animal print trousers were lost.  They are part of a suit that holds great sentimental value to him and he really, really wants them back.

..:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

We are sure that whoever found them didn't realise their importance and we are happy to give whoev er finds and returns them tickets to any Bad Manners gig of their choice this year.

Please re-post this and ask everyone who went to Rebellion if they have seen them.

Thank you very much for your help.

We are offering 12 lucky bands the chance to compete for a support slot on the winter tour with legendary ska band BAD MANNERS.

There is no fee to enter or play and the audience votes for a heat winner on the night of the gig.  As people come in they are given a voting slip to use in the vote at the end of the evening.  The 3 heat winners and one star quality runner up will then go on to the Grand Final on Tuesday 6th August.

All audition heats and the Grand Final take place at the Hope and Anchor in Islington, London.

Spaces are very limited and going fast as this is a very special opportunity.

The 3 heats will be hosted by the fabulous MAX SPLODGE.

Contact me asap.

Saturday, March 08, 2008

Next Sunday, 16th March, I am shooting a 'no budget' video for what many of us hope will be this years alternative christmas tune, Tommy the Christmas Tree by Max Splodge.

I will be shooting at a central London location and need to arrange a cast of Londons wonderful people including punks, skins, goths, rockers in fact, any interesting and  fantastic people who would like to be involved.  We are also interested in hearing from anyone who may be able to bring another strange or diverse angle to the shoot, maybe you have a fabulous 10ft snake or a show stopping costume.

Try me you never know I might say yes!

The aim of the video is to present a united front of Londons alternative music scenes and to promote the original punk DIY ethos by doing just that and doing it ourselves.  The whole project will be managed independantly without industry involvement.

As I mentioned before this is a totally DIY, no budget production so we can't even cover expenses I'm afraid, but we will be able to add a bit of sparkle to your Karma as a percentage of any profits will be going to charity.  And yes before you ask, I am giving my services for free too : )

We will be shooting between 10am and 5pm on Sunday 16th March, but will be giving more precise shooting schedule times at the end of the week.

I will be casting via the internet over the next few days and if you are interested in taking part and think you have what we're looking for then send a couple of current photos of yourself to info@peafish.com ASAP.

Please help if you can as this is fantastic project,

I hope to hear from you very soon,

many thanks,

Sarah Pink
