hi there, it's Kiyomi and yes, i have not written again in a long time :(

i hope all is well!  i wanted to thank you for the website hits, first off, it is now over 50,000, that is amazing and i am oh so grateful!

i just wanted to drop you a note to say hi, it's been a long time, and also to let you know that i will finally start recording a full length album which i am incredibly excited about!!  it will hopefully start in November, and be released hopefully the beginning of 2010.  however, since that seems like a long time away, i will be videotaping the behind the scenes of the recording process and will send you clips here and there, and would welcome your feedback!  (although obviously i wouldn't be able to take everyone's feedback ;))

also, if you're on facebook and would like to become a fan on there for support, that would be greatly received... by me, haha :)

kiyomi here, just thought i'd drop a note today, hope i'm finding you well!  i thought i'd include quotes/ideas in my messages from now on, since i'm a bookworm and find many ideas/quotes in books that i like sharing and hearing opinions on.  when i was at one of the lowest points in my life, i used to go to yoga classes, and at the beginning of each class the instructor would read some sort of quote.  it helped me greatly so i thought i'd do that in my mailers :)  and even if i'm over my slump, i still can't get enough of reading, as books represent an actual person's mind and heart, which i find intriquing.  would love to hear what it means to you, or if it means nothing at all

I'm also happy to say that SUNY Stonybrook has asked for my music to play on their college radio station!  And lastly, i will be airing on 6/16, on Bronxnet Ch 68, at 11:30 pm.  Performances of one song from my EP, and 2 unrecorded songs.  i'm still looking to record my new songs but it is time and money consuming, so we shall see when that will be!

 

Anyway, just wanted to touch base with you, and hear what's on your mind, as i find people intriguing.  And because you are a person that's intriguing, you're listed as one of my main inspirations I hope you're well!

I want to say thanks for visiting my website!  We have worked really hard on it, (and still are always changing and improving it), and in only a few months, have gotten 10,000 + hits, making it a total of over 22,000 hits in less than a year!  Exciting news for me, trying not to be too bubbly   thanks to you all

well it's been too long once again, since i've written.  i checked the last time i wrote and it was actually last december, i hadn't even noticed!   i will try not to do that again, if i can help it!

anyway, just wanted to update you on a couple things, first off, Joseph & I will be driving over 2 hours this friday, to go do a radio intervw for 88.3FM "The Saint", we are looking forward to it!  College radio.   and i am currently being played on "Local Riot" which airs at RPI (Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute), so i am smiling!   if any of you are in college and would like to hear me on your station, feel free to recommend me!  or any radio, for that matter   just call them and say "i want to hear Kiyomi, i DEMAND it!!!" haha  :p  but seriously, i think it works!   although chances are you'll have to fill them in on who i am!

This past friday, i did another episode of "Rhythms of NY", which will probably be aired on Bronxnet and Manhattan (MNN), again, so that's pretty exciting.  and it also features Tim Thorne, my great drummer who's been with me in music since the beginning!   thanks, Tim!

Lastly, my website is redone and looking wonderful!   Joseph (webguy genius boyfriend) has worked on it every spare moment and it has paid off!  a few new cool features on it, and one is that you can login and actually leave comments, i think that is pretty cool.  feel free to do so!  something we are working towards
right now is also a store right on my site, but that is still in the works.   also, my favorite comments that you all have written to me, (that kept me going during the tough times!) are on the left side of each page that you click on, and they rotate. 
maybe you'll catch something familiar that you may be the author of  :) anyway, i could write a whole page on my new website, but i won't so see for yourself!

why hellooo there, i haven't written in a while ;) I have missed you!! :D

just wanted to let you know that i will be on tv, in Manhattan!  1/14/09 at12am, which would be midnight today, Channel 57.  i know i am writing this at the last second - i had it on my calender to write this mailer yesterday, but couldn't get out of bed because there was an elephant sitting on my head.  or maybe it was Joseph.  so it felt.  well since i'm feeling so much better today, i am writing this just in time :)

Also some other great news- may be a contributing factor to why i'm feeling happy now (along with being stressed-too much to do!!), is that i finally finished my new song, "Child In Me"!  i started it in april and finished it on the 4th of Jan.  oh well, it's done. yay!  some exciting things in the works right now, but won't go into detail at the moment, however i will say that you may be able to hear my new tunes soon if things work out well :)

Hello lovely people

Just wanted to let you know that I'll be the featured artist on "The Rhythms of NY", created by Dave Brodsky.  I had a great time taping the show, and was able to sing 3 of my songs live, 2 of them being urecorded still :)   so hopefully you'll be able to watch, and it will also be up on my website in a bit.

hi there everyone~

so last summer i was a bit bored and decided i'd do some extra work for a couple movies,  one of them being  "Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants II".   the odds of actually making it into one of the shots is extremely slim so i went in, did my job and left.  about a week ago at work, one of my voice students came in and asked me if i was in the movie!  i was surprised that i was recognized.  i haven't seen it yet but my sister told me there's a shot of my face briefly (which i'm hoping is a flattering shot :P)  anyway, see if you can spot me! 

AND i'm having another show which i'd love for all of you to attend, it would mean the world :)
