Current mood:  naughty
We're never quite gotten acquainted with technology, or periodic updates of our myspace. it doesn't mean if we don't update that we've disappeared, or does it?

Anyway, after a few dates with L'embuscade, including the marvellous MIMEfest activities, we've hidden ourselves in our homes, moved around a little, and started laying down tracks. that being said, we're not saying it's coming out soon, because it won't. but it will, at some point.

until then, we'll be playing weddings. well, one wedding. MCA for hire!

hey tout le y'all.

hope everyone's doing fine in the new year. just wanted to give a little update on our comings, goings and doings. We just played a TBA art show in december, and are shaping up to play with Passenger Action (ex-Choke) in February.

we're also excited to see that we'll be playing a few shows at the beginning of april with our good friends L'embuscade (think of it as part of the twice-on-the-same-bicycle tour). dates will be upcoming when we know them exactly, so keep eyes peeled and earplugs ready. L'embuscade should have their new album by that time as well, and they're always a dandy and a half to watch and listen.

we've moved our jam room, resettled, drank a few beers and are doing fine. we even have a fireplace now. for serious.
other than that, some of us are writing new material (potential MCA, maybe even with the slight potential of vocals. we know, we know. we'll see.)
so, that being said - keep hoping for spring and see you soon,
The MCAs.

So we're a part of a local art and music collective called TBA Collective that gets together to organize events and we try to spearhead new ideas. We have group meetings and a committee that helps us stay on topic and keep structure. We use a forum to organize ideas and carry on topics discussed at the meetings or bring up new ideas. The forum is located here: www.tbacollective.com/forum

Hello peeps and pets,

Well, well, it seems that we will be going on tour supporting L'embuscade (from Montreal) on the east-coast leg of their tour.

Hoorah...now now, i know some might say that's not fair, there's familial blood between both bands, but I swear both bands will put on good shows while sharing van and gear.

Also, if all goes well, we'll have merch ready in time for these shows, and perhaps a little demo set to go in your cd player - if they're not obsolete yet.

Chiquitas,

Mario & MCA.

Hey guys,

Two wicked bloggers from Halifax - HeroHill -  are doing provincial mixtapes, and we fell into the NB mix. Download the compilations here and enjoy!

Last minute news here on myspace, but news to us for a long time...

we'll be covering some Refused songs tonight at the Manhattan as part of the New Years Eve Freakout 4, with 7 more local bands, scores of drunken people and a great time to be had.

sorry for the serious lack of updates....looks like facebook has taken a bite of this...and other preoccupations. MCA will be doing news songs and recording in the new year, so 2008 is looking bright!

Mission Ahead.

Hello again, after a long overdue update.

well, Gumby has rejoined the band, and since TCOB and The Umph have slowed things down over the summer, MCa has picked up steam. We've been jamming and demo-ing some stuff, hopefully have everything we want recorded before I jet to Europe for two months in the Fall. We'll be playing a few shows over the next 6 weeks, the most we can I guess....and maybe even get around to doing a little bit of merch......but we all procrastinate, so be weary!

Besides that, I'll be posting a new song pretty soon called Technologypsies. It's a rough mix, but entirely groovable.

just listen.

cheers,

Mario & The MCAites.

Hey there.

since we're in a stage of semi-re-learning the songs with Terry - who is in the transition of moving to Fredericton - therefore rendering not only the music, but the act of jamming a mathematical challenge of immense proportions into which we'll all have to become media experts in sending songs online to each other, and a semi-stage of more laid-back writing...

we pause to look back on the marvels of the year. MCA rode a roller-coaster ride, but spit over the sides....so the ride seems to have halted, they security guards took our guitarist, and replaced him later on. anyways. we haven't play many shows, and we know - we're just as busy as you guys!

anyways, we'll end the year on a good note,

with these viewable videos of us playing basement parties. always fun! kudos to our music nerd friend Remi, who videotaped both of these videos. sound quality is pretty considering these are both taken with digital cameras!

see you next year - the year of the code!

Hello and Hello.

I gathered it was time to let you all know what we've been up to. We've kept things a bit on the down low recently....Snake and myself focussing on TCOB stuff, writing new stuff and such. Jonah and Eric both moved out and into apartments...seperately. And now we're slowly getting back into the groove.

Welcome our newfound guitarist - Terry Melanson, of the infamous Melanson twins (the other one being Jamie, of the Self_Inflicted days). He's wicked and will bring a different edge to songwriting. we're looking forward to what we come up with.

Lately we've just been jamming some parts and building on them...see what we can develop, and soon we'll teach Terry the tricks of our existing songs.

I've posted a new song - it's actually the first one we ever wrote. ever.

Enjoy and till soon,

Mario and the MCA collective.
