Troubadours is back! After months of searching, we finally settled on The Attic as Troubadours' new home. Our first gig of 2007 will be on 17 May 2007. Subsequent gigs at The Attic will happen every third Thursday of the month. List of performing artistes for our comeback gig will be out soon. Here's a link to check out The Attic. In other news, we might also score a monthly night at another venue in KL. But we'll see what happens first.

Finally it's OUT! We present to you " VOICES FROM NEXT DOOR"
That's what the cover of the CD looks like. For those who don't know what it's all about, it's the compilation CD we've been working on for the past few months, featuring 24 songs by 24 solo singer songwriters and bands, most of who have played at our shows previously. We're so happy to finally get it yesterday from the CD printers. Yippee!
We previewed some of the tracks off it on the Sunday night Clash radio show on Red FM 104.9, with Daryl Goh and Zack Yusof the past two weekends. Those of you who heard it will know that it's choc-ful of goodies! Yes!
For now, it's available personally from the three Troubadours (Azmyl, Jerome and Sei Hon) for RM30 each. We'll update you when it'll be available in the stores - we're still sorting our distribution. If you don't know us, come to any of the Troubadours gigs. We'll be there!
The tracklisting for the CD is as such:
CD1 01. Broken Scar Venus In September 02. Izzy Mohamed Pelangi 03. Yuri Red Dress 04. Sherry Sighyoung 05. Jasemaine Gan Syurga Di Bumi 06. Rizal Hefni Some Time For Yourself 07. Current mood: busy
Phew! We've been in over our heads trying to prepare everything in order for KL Sing Song 2006, the Troubaganger and Troubadours/Open Doors shows, and Voices From Next Door comp CD. All are going well... we think... You can check out our gig schedule to find out what's happening. We're all really busy with stuff to do. Sei Hon's trying to get the permit applications sorted and chasing after last minute things for the compilation. Azmyl's helping out with the gigs and getting people to play. Jerome's trying to get the posters done and getting information out there. And our friend Jasmine Low (with Nikki and Tia) who co-organises the Troubaganger shows been busy handling media stuff and trying to get our backs in line. Meanwhile, Ian Chow over at KLPAC's trying to prep everything come July. Norman Teh is busy designing our poster and flyer. We've got the KL Sing Song blogspot site up and running. We're very tired. But excited at the same time. So our advance apologies we send out if we seem less energetic than usual. It's not easy trying to do this and hold down dayjobs at the same time... The compilation CD is almost ready. Ariff Akhir is finishing up some mastering for us. Chan Wan is helping us design the sleeve. We're very happy about that. We got some news that other compilation CDs might be getting released soon. Ow... hopefully that's not gonna hurt our sales... we're trying to sell as many as possible so we can get a bit of money to pump back into more Troubadours projects. Hope the CD will get interest overseas. We have our fingers crossed. If you're curious to know who's on the compilation, pop over to our TroubadoursKL blogspot site. We're aiming for an early July release! We need to come up with a name for our record label imprint. Our minds are blank at the moment.... any suggestions?
