Current mood:  artistic

Finally, finally I feel artistic again! Yes it feels good and I wish it reappeared earlier (like when I was doing uni work....:()

But what can I say I've handed all my work in (weeks ago now) and i'm now searching for placement next year (so far not sucessful) but ive picked up my search and as long as Im designing something I will be happy.

I've decided that i want to do something productive to help make some money and such.  This led me to start drawing characatures of famous musicians and perhaps sell them.  At the same time i'm making money i would like to give money too so i decided that if I sold them I would give a portion of the money to charity.  Ive already began the base sketches for a number but am open to requests.  So feel free to put an artist down in your blog reply, its for a good course and you will be helping me out too.

I would love to hear your oppinions on what i'm doing as I always appreciate the input of my friends.

To any of you guys on my course good luck in you search for placements.

Well i'm off to Download 2007 at Donnington this week so will most definately post a blog about it when i return 2 weeks monday (if im not to tired).

Take care people

David

Current mood:  sick
Category: Music

What a way to kick off december going to see Dragonforce Live, I watch Dragonforce at Download 2006 at Donnington.  I was anticipating them and they performed brilliantly, I am happy to say that at the Leeds Gig they performed even better.

It was a quick trip over to leeds on a train and finding the venue took a little time but the map I had helped alot.  The gig itself was good with Greece's Firewind kicking off the support acts, they were awesome.  The second support act were All That Remains who I was a bit suprised to see as a support act for DF.  They were far more heavier and they performed fairly well, but the best was still to come.

Dragonforce blew the audience away plain and simple, they were at their lighting fast best.  Between a number of songs Vadim played some awesome original music ont he keyboard with Bassist Fredericq showing his talents on lead guitar.  All the best songs were played "Through The Fire and Flames", "Operation Ground and Pound", "Soldiers of the Wasteland" and many more finishing with my personal favourite "Valley of the Damned".  For every song the fans were jumping and singing at the top of their voices.  Dragonforce has such an immense stage presence and their interaction with the crowd is near to the best I have ever seen.

There was an issue with sound early on but that was sorted quickly and they still carried on playing.  When ever you go to a DF concert you will be entertained with the drunken mumblings and outbursts between songs much between Herman Li and Sam Totman.

I look forward to seeing Dragonforce again very soon, I will never get tired going to their concerts as they perform so well and definately keep the crowd happy.  If you ever get the opportunity DF are well worth watching one of the most if not the most talented band in Britain today.

Wish I could account more but feel a bit under the weather and am annoyed as my phone has died on me meaning I may have lost the pictures and videos from the gig.

Current mood:  creative

Hello my friends,

Been a while since I last blogged but will try and do it more often to log my thoughts and such.  Not that they are interesting but it gives me somewhere to open up I guess.

My head is a spinning mess currently, I'm pumping out ideas to fast and am not getting them on paper which is a bit annoying.  Also have another novel idea but need to finish one of the three that I have already got started.  Uni has started again so I will have work to do for that now.  I thought I could maybe write my creative thinking into song lyrics but to do that I would have to actually learn to play the guitar properly and be able to read music.  I was learning but have stopped as I'm considering finding a tutor or teacher to work with.

Currently playing Samurai Warriors 2 for the playstation 2, and am so annoyed how so many reviews are slating it for being "the same as Dynasty Warriors blah blah blah" but in reality it is probably the best Koei game of that genre to date.  Currently listening to Power Metal and Battle Metal which I have taken a real shine too, has punch and epic sound that lets me really enjoy it.

I have an email I need to send off to Ikea about an idea I had for a group project but will probably ammend it tommrow and send it after I consult my team on friday.

Life has got pretty busy since I got back, I've been to manchester 4 times this year already (4 more times than last year) and have spent to much money so i'm going to have to be careful now.  Also been looking into the chance of bringing an awesome band to the UK, the are called Seraphim and are from Taiwan.  If you like Female-fronted metal bands then check them out.  Quinn and Kessier (lead singer and Guitarist/Songwriter) have their own myspace pages.  They are really nice and obviously value their fans which is always nice to see.  Check them out if you get the chance, the link is on my profile page.

Well I hope all of you guys are well and having fun with your lives where ever you may be.  If you ever need me I'm here on myspace a fair bit so feel free to message me or chat with me on msn.  Friend ain't just a snazzy title you have a duty to be there for your friends

Take care guys

David :)

Current mood:  happy

Hi peepl, new blog here.

I'm somewhat calmer now, since I've got all my work done.  It has been tough and I have to admit my timetabling was hardly top notch.  Now I have more time to relax (still have more work, but its much more enjoyable).  Holidays are here and I will actually be able to talk to people.

The year has been good and I have learnt quite alot, plus I have done well with grades since Its a course I am interested in (BA Computer Games Design).  Heading back to kettering next weekend *sarcastic cheer*, but it will be good to be in my own home again and see my family and friends.

Well I now have time to play my guitar, play my games, read, write and of course do some nice artwork.

Take care peeps...
