the car would be part of a traffic jam of people trying to flee an impending disaster, cars won't be "driving around" in the video.
Thanks!

We’re all still a little in shock right now.  We just found out yesterday morning that our new record, “The Outsiders,” debuted at #20 on the Billboard Top 200 Albums!  It’s amazing to us to see how our fans have rallied around this record and we couldn’t be happier!  It was a labor of love making this record, and we feel like it’s the best music we’ve ever done, so it’s incredibly exciting for us right now.  We’re also really excited to see so many people coming out to the shows!  We’ve been out with Griffin House and Green River Ordinance for the last couple weeks, and the crowds have been phenomenal!  It was especially rewarding for us to sell out the 40 Watt in Athens.  The 40 Watt is a club we grew up hearing about all the time, so that was a very special night for us.  We just want to say a HUGE thank you to all of you who went out and got the record last week!  Let’s keep it up!  We’ll see y’all soon!

We will be going on air tonight with our friends at 105.5 The Bridge in Charleston to do an on-air preview of The Outsiders!  We'll be playing tracks from the new record, maybe a few live acoustic songs, and chatting it up in general.  The fun starts at 7pm EST!

Speaking of The Outsiders...it is now t-minus ONE WEEK until the new record hits the shelves (and hopefully flies off of them very soon afterwards)!  If you haven't pre-ordered your copy already, you can do it now at www.needtobreathestore.com.  The new tour with Griffin House and Green River Ordinance starts in a few days, as well!  We're chomping at the bit to get out there and play the new stuff for you!  See y'all soon!

We just uploaded a new track to our music player!  It's called "A Taste of The Outsiders," and it's a sampler track of some of the songs from the new record!  Hopefully it can help y'all out till the real thing comes out on August 25th.  Music from "The Outsiders" is also appearing on your TV's!  Our song "These Hard Times" is being featured in promos for the new show "Mercy" on NBC!  Stay tuned-in to catch the commercials and you won't be disappointed.  You can also check out an interview/acoustic performance we did for Spin magazine at the Mile High Music Festival HERE at spin.com!  Have fun, folks!

It feels REALLY good to be back out doing a proper tour again.  We’ve finished up our first few shows with David Cook, and it feels like we’re really finding our groove again.  We had done several shows since we finished The Outsiders, but most of those were one-offs and festivals.  There’s a lot to be said for playing shows night after night.  It’s really helping us to re-connect as a live band.  We had a great show in Galveston the first night of the tour.  It was an outdoor show, so it was intensely hot, and the wind coming off the gulf ripped the roof off the stage, but we soldiered on and sweat it out happily.  After spending our day off in Houston getting our generator fixed on the bus, we headed down the coast for our second show at the House of Blues in New Orleans.  It’s only the second time we’ve played NOLA, but both times the crowds have been UNBELIEVABLE!  I love towns where supporting music is just engrained in their culture, and that is definitely true in the Big Easy.  The next night was Chattanooga.  The show was set up in a convention center, so it felt a bit like playing for a high school dance, minus the streamers and cheesy decorations.  The fans were ready for a rock show, though, and they welcomed us very warmly.  As we were packing up our trailer, one of the guys helping us out informed us that he was a taekwonndo instructor, and would be ready and willing if we ever needed a bodyguard.  I managed to resist the temptation to ask if he had “developed his fighting style through TWO YEARS in the OCTAGON!”  We’re currently en route to Lansing, MI from Nashville.  The highlight of my day today was when I glanced to my left from the line at Smoothie King and saw none other than Wynona Judd sitting at a table nearby!  You never know who you’re gonna run into at the food court!  I played it cool, but I really wanted to offer to buy her a smoothie.  Maybe next time.
