It's only a few days over due... but technically Full Circle Radio hasn't happened yet so I'm not late yet. But I figure much as I left I owe people a reason as to why I came back. You know why I left: health, stress, new job, lack of desire for the business. I'll take all of em on at once. Health: While the heart palpation thing turned out to be nothing serious it was a big wake up call and I started dieting (No soda 'cept diet on the weekends only water juice tea and coffee during weekdays cut out calories wherever you can excercise as much as possible eat breakfast every day is what I did.) I lost about 39 pounds at one point but has since gained back about ten of those and am sitting at 239. I feel much better I look much better I still have a double chin which I'd like to get rid of. But I feel like I'm much healthier. Stress: I'll be honest I was in a real bad spot in my life. My job, my famile and my relationship fell apart all at once DPW just wasn't something I could do with all that going on. I'm not gonna give you some spiel how I found Jesus or somethin. I just decided that I wasn't gonna be unhappy and stressed out any more and I'll be damned it worked even as I was struggling with getting the ring up and down on saturday I didn't get stressed I just worked on it stayed light (kept Kevin sane) and enjoyed myself. Havin Stressmesiter JJ out on the road did help as he has the ability to stress anyone out. I think I'll call him Stressmeister JJ at one point in time next show (which I'm like 85% sure I'll be at). Lack of love for the biz: Oh man... have you WATCHED the product out there? It'd GOD AWFUL. WWE stinks. TNA is worse. ECW was doing ok... I TiVo it... So when I thought to myself jesus what is WRONG with wrestling. Then I was like I may not know what's wrong. I know what's right and Defiant Pro Wrestling is right. We may not have 5 star matches every time out but this company keeps wrestling in Connecticut fresh. It's great. I have RARELY seen a DPW match I didn't like that's the truth that's not a shill. So why did I decide to come back? I love the fans. I love feeling important. And I love the people in the back I said to someone backstage the fans are getting ripped off they don't get to see the real good stuff that happens back here. The adrenaline I had going at Lines Crossed was amazing A FUCKING MAZING. I loved it. I can't stop thanking Mike for taking me back cause he didn't have to. He coulda said fuck you. He didn't. Mike is a fucking stand up guy. I cannot wait for the next show. CANNOT wait. I seriously wanna thank everyone for the kind words and I'm kinda sorry I have to go back on em and come back to wrestling. I called it a retirement cause I really thought I would never do it again. I thought that after I worked my first match. But this business and I are like an abusive couple we keep coming back to each other no matter how much one smacks the shit out of the other. Thank You for reading and I hope to see you all Feb 10th (if this lady doesn't cover my shift there will be HELL to pay.)

So, I figure a few people have noticed by now I've been missing from DPW. First, my first abscence was due to my family reunion during the show in August. My second missed show this most recent one was me deciding that my health was a little more important than Defiant Pro Wrestling. I talked to Mike (even though I stalled because I was really unhappy with the decesion I had to make) and told him about being in the ER for heart palpatations. Well since everyone last saw me I lost 20 pounds and thought I was on my way to better health. However, a lot of stress involving my job and my now ex girlfriend plus a lot of beers and a lot of wings said other wise. I was thinking about leaving wrestling before. I just don't have the same passion and the same love for it as I did when I started DPW. I really enjoyed WrestleJam and ring announcing felt really honored to announce Mana's last match. I have LOVED LOVED LOVED my time in Defiant Pro Wrestling and I consider alot of you family. First JJ, thank you for bringing me into the island of misfit toys that is DPW. My life wouldn't have been the same with out it. I hope you stay in touch with me brother and maybe down the road we can call another match together. Any time you wanna hit up Uncle Willy's lemme know. But I can only drink Diet Soda gotta try and keep the weight down. Mike, Thank you for the opportunity. I can never thank you enough for giving me the chance LaChance wouldn't. I loved being part of the team and I'm not willing to slam the door shut completly. As far as I know this is a temporary retirement. Maybe one day the love of the biz will hit me again, my health will be where I want it to be and I'll come crawling back and I'll have to bust out the knee pads AGAIN to get my job back. Paulie Fucking J, PJ, you're cool as shit. I hope to make it up there one night when you're DJing show you that CC La Salle can sing damnit. I hope to see you around brother. Mandy... Mandy Mandy Mandy... what the fuck am I gonna do with you? I wish you nothing but success in the biz and in life. You're a sweet heart and got a good head on your shoulders. Let it guide you along the way. Surreal aka Cereal another cool chick. Enjoy whatever path life takes you down. Thanks for havin a Saw with me at that show out in Danbury. Avil Graves you are one cool dude. I don't care what any body says. Someone who shares alot of my same opinions about the biz. Enjoyed puttin the ring up with ya cheif. Holly you give new meaning to the word super fan. Thank you for all your support and taking all the ball breaking in good spirits. You your husband and your son are the first family of CT Wrestling. Thanks for the food in Northford, I needed it! Barry, you're a fat fuck. Chick that's with barry who I always forget her name. Thanks for being another awesome fan. Same goes to you R-Fury. Don't let the assholes on the message board give you shit for doing what you like in you're own way. Chelly you're smoking hot... and really that's all to say about that. Kraven sorry I missed out that wet t-shirt contest... next time you have one drop me a line. CEEJ your pics are amazing and because of them I wanted to start losing weight. So thank you for that motivation. To the boys in the back I talked to a little more than everyone else like Noc and The Now. Thanks for treatin me like one of the crew I really appreciate it. I hope to get to see more of your guys work as I enjoyed calling every match and doing every interview I got to do. Zombie, Bulldog I have known you guys since I was a weeeee youngin. Bulldog thanks for giving me my FIRST chance to hold a mic and interview some one at the ONE CPW show where I interviewed John Diamond. Zombie thanks for being fellow East Haven Trash. To Captain Rick Adams, Shaka, Miss Dixie and Kris Krude. Thank you guys for being my family for 4 years at La Salle for teaching me EVERYTHING I know about the business. For giving me my chance at a match even though it was quite possibly the worst thing ever. And yea Krude, this retirement means NO rematch. HA! But seriously Rick I have one more show in me to call with HKB. I was going to do the 28th but that's our homecoming so I don't think we can get to Reading from Philly in time for the show. Next show I do for you will be the last I do, possibly ever. For those that don't know my name is Patrick Hackett... I'm a traffic reporter for Clear Channel Hartford. That's right as you listen to 1410, 1300, 960 AM and occasionally 92.5 FM and you hear Patrick Hackett doing traffic that is in fact CC La Salle. I broke in the biz at 16 doing security camera and pretty much bitch work for CCW and CPW. One of my favorite stories from back then involves Our buddy Barry (Sexy Beast in my top whatever) getting sexually harrassed by Tony DeVito. Then DeVito proceeding to do flip bumps... with no pants on. Quite the sight. Also that day Missy Hyatt told me just how big Stevie Richards' dick was... truly awful. Also in that crew was a young Mike Altieri doing the same thing I was... crazy how different things wound up for the two of us. And I know lots of people have negative things to say about Mr. Batts. But I'm proud of him. He was his dream and he achieved it. I had to settle for being the entertainment portion of the show cause I couldn't cut it as an athlete. But I'm happy where I was in the industry. I've: Gone through a table. been caned. met and interviewed some of my favorite wrestlers. gotten ONE big face pop shortly after 9/11. wrestled ONE incredibly bad match. been the play by play or color guy for 3 companies ring announced a "super show" including someone I respected ALOT's last match. got to be part of a great angle with CCW. got to talk SOOOO much trash on message boards to the point where the boss yelled at me. I got to tape some CLASSIC promos and really enjoy some great matches. Thank EVERYONE listed above for being a part of a an amazing almost 10 year career. And maybe this isn't the end... maybe it's just a new beginning. Or maybe it's the end who knows. I'm gonna enjoy my temporary (possibly) retirement and hope to stay in touch with all of you guys. If you wanna friend the "real me" it's myspace.com/scrhack. I'll still be checking in with CC LaSalle as he still despite being retired is a big part of me. Peace.
