Hello there

If you're reading this you may already know that we recorded a new full length album at the end of the summer. After a full US tour in July, we were road weary, yet tour tight, so we headed to Philadelphia to record with Steve Roche at Permanent Hearing Damage. I think it took 4 days, but now I can't remember. I ate a lot of bad Chinese food, but the songs sound pretty good. there are 10 of them, mostly brand new. It's been mastered by Carl Saff, and cover art is in the hands of Drew Liverman, of the House Band fame. He helped build the sand castle from the first LP, and did all the layout there too. I've seen a couple of photos of it coming along, and it looks really neat. Let Be Honest is the 1st song on the record.

As you may or may not have noticed, Brainworms has been kinda laying low this summer. We haven't played a show since April, on account of extended tours by Landmines (Joe) and Ultra Dolphins (Tim). It's an unfortunate hiatus, since we've had to turn down plenty of opprotunities to play rad shows. It hasn't been a total wash, though. Those of us in town have been busy writing music, and now we have a new release in the works:

It's my pleasure to announce the upcoming release of the Brainworms/Catalyst split 7", which should be out by the end of summer. We're totally stoked on this one. 2 new songs from us, 3 from them, and they're all really good. I put the art up in our pics. Good lookin' record, eh?

We also have a mini tour planned, which is not totally booked.
