We have emerged bleary-eyed and blinking from Loop Studio in Perth to the first laying-downs of a potentially forthcoming release. Non-commital enough?

Very rewarding to actually hear the band (albeit live) recorded and caressed by those capable and skilled (with notably flat eq on the guitar). Erin and myself decided that we're all for recording some tracks for the sheer personal self gratifying pleasure...hell we might even release it a bit later on.

Eddie Lovejoy are excited to welcome bassist Andrew Maher into the band.

After the perils of distance got the better of our beloved Brendan, the Lovejoys were forced to put a hold on live gigs over recent months. Well after a bit of a search and a lot of woodshopping we're very pleased to introduce Andrew as our new man. Sure, his name doesn't end with an "n" but we figured we could relax the rules just this once...

Andrew's first gig will be at the Newport Hotel on Sunday the 15th of this month - next weekend! We're looking forward to reappearing around Perth better than ever, so come down to check out the reshuffled 'Joys and make Andrew feel welcome!
