So right now I’m kinda busy helping my friends out with keyboard playing/mixing/producing, but I will always find time to write some music of my own. Here’s a sample of what I’m working on right now.

It’s a little bit more dreamy compared to “Sisters” and I think that’s the overall feeling I’m aiming for when I put the pieces together for my new album.

It’s no secret that I am a huge Brian Eno fan. So when American label Burning Sky Records contacted me (about a year ago) to provide a song for their Roxy Music tribute project I took the chance to record the Eno song “Taking Tiger Mountain”. But that’s no Roxy Music song you might ask! Nope, but the project is splitted into three discs with one of them being called “Roxy Progeny” including covered songs by artists who was associated with Roxy Music (and as you all know, Brian Eno was in the early incarnation of Roxy Music). The other two discs focus on early and late Roxy Music respectively. The discs are not out until September 15, but you can pre-order them here.

You can listen to my version of "Taking Tiger Mountain" here on Myspace.

We’re extremely dissappointed to announce that the Brazilian tour in
July is cancelled. The UV minifestival we were about to play has been
cancelled, because the man who was suppose to arrange it all has left
the music business. That means we won’t have the financial resources to
do the rest of the tour, so sadly we can't go there.
We hope to go Brazil another time.

The lovely brazilian label Bolinhas Records has just released a new EP with Stars in Coma called “Death and Hope”. It’s five tracks with that old school feeling I know you all love. For those of you who are scared/lazy to order things from Brazil I will get my hands on some copies of the CD but right now Bolinhas have a presale so check their myspace out! I uploaded the EP to Last.fm and you will be able to download the first two tracks for free!. The Tracklist:

1. Death and Hope
2. The Fantasy Youth Club
3. Save
4. Light in Zenith
5. C’mon Drifter

gotcha!

I'll write this in english since this message is mostly meant for swedish talking people...

Kolla gärna in min studiosida/musiknördblogg Moonport!

The new year party was a blast! Unfortunately I forgot to record our concert (we had it setup but someone forgot to press rec...hrmm). The Stars in Coma band was a quartet this night with Lisa handling both bass, guitar and backing vocals on several songs. Well done! We played the following songs:

Borderline
Amelie
Invisibility Trick
Lifetime of Pent-up Sadness
I Saw My Heart Passing By
People Put Up With A Lot of Shit
Live Forever (Oasis cover)

Later that night it was time for our new founded band Efter 12 (consisting of me, Lisa, Mattias and Håkan) to play some well-chosen covers. We were all a little too tipsy to play but we made a great show anyway.
