This short North East US tour almost didn't happen!  But god damn are we glad it did.  The tour was supposed to be a 1 month long, full US tour.  But two things prevented us from doing that:  First thing is the failure of our old booking agency to get it done, and the second thing is the ridiculously high price of gas.  So we decided to shorten it to a week and a half and go explore the North East. 
As many of you know, the entire tour was supposed to happen with MA based Hotfoot Records artist Always and Forever.  They were offered a spot on the Liferuner/Dr Acula tour and they decided to take it.  Amazingly enough we were able to pull everything together and make this a great tour by ourselves.

The first show was in Bronx, NY in one of the sketchiest neighborhoods I would ever want to drive a van through, haha.  But the place turned out to be pretty chill.  The entire  thing is outside, so we were playing for all their neighbors who I'm sure appreciated metal.  Besides the rediculously overpriced food and drinks (just cuz your near Yankee Stadium, dosen't mean ur shit is as good), it was a fun time.

The next night was in Long Island, NY at Pell's mothers bar.  Tiny tiny place but we were the only ones playing and we just wanted to have a good time.  It wound up absolutely pooring (like, record-setting rain) and next to no one came out :( but the people that were there had a real good time and so did we!  We stayed at Pell's house that night playing GTA and drinking beer.  The next morning was awesome bagels and Pell's little brother absolutely kicking Alex's and Jon's asses.  619!!!!!!!!

The next show in Albany, NY was with our good friends in Heal These Wounds.  It was at a small record store in the middle of the city.  We really never got the best of reactions in Albany for some reason, but most the kids that were in the room seemed to dig it.  Best part of the night by far was the chicken/pizza place with ridiculously cheep food and the $3.50 Jack and Cokes that Pell, Seg (our roadie/driver/merch dude) and Eric found.  That combined with the tall boys in the truck stop half way to MA made it all good.

The next show was in Amherst, MA.  Last time we were there we played with The Acacia Strain and the place was absolutely ridiculous.  This time, ehhh not so much, haha.  The show was with Dr. Acula, Lifefuner and Always and Forever.  Crowd was kinda dead which sucked.  I've been told by everyone up there that the scene in MA is real iffy if you're not in an old school hardcore or punk band, haha.  Whatever though, we got free Pizza, chilled with the producer of our video for Cellphone Romance (knaight), and got a comfortable place to sleep for the night. 

Waking up the next morning was not as pleasant, as we found out that our VT show was canceled for that day.  No message, e-mail, or call from the promoter even.  If I hadn't checked his myspace I would have never known about it.  Very sucky of him.  We decided to make the best of the day and drive to Wells, ME where our next show was.  What an awesome little town.  We pulled over at the first cool place we found and had some beers/dinner and watched the NBA finals.  After we found a cheep hotel and a place that sold 30 packs, we partied with the very awesome cooks and bartenders we met at the restaurant.  For the two days that we were in town they really all showed us a kick ass time between the beaches and everything, and we thank them for that :)  The show in Wells was equally as awesome and was pretty packed.  Met the awesome dudes in The Capulet Erotic, The Hour of Chaos and Alethia.  Wound up chillin with most of them at Wendys after the show, which we managed to get kicked out of about 20 after getting there.  We can help it, were just incredibly cool people.  After that we met up with some of the people from the restaurant who took us to the middle of the friggin woods to start a bonfire.  Keep in mind we are all from NYC and walking through the woods at 1AM is not exactly our idea of fun.  It turned out to be pretty fuckin cool however and we passed the time with Blue Ribbon and playing Celebrity Password.

That night we decided to drive straight to Farmington, NH where our show was the next day.  The WalMart we stayed at was eloquent, thank you very much for the $1 vitamin water!  We arrived at the place (it was a high school) around 3PM to load in.  We were greeted by Jasmine, the organizer of the show.  She fed us free hotdogs, hamburgers and soda and was one of the coolest bookers we have ever met :)  The show was in the Gym so of course we start playing basketball and Jon proceeds to climb their rock wall.  (Yes, they had a rock wall).  By the time we go on stage to play, there were a good 150-200 kids in the room.  This was probably the best show we played all tour.  Amazing crowd response, amazing amounts of merch sold, amazing everything.  Thanks Jasmine!!

Our final show was in Westbrook, ME right outside of Portland.  The WalMart we stayed in was quite sub par.  Get on your god damn game Westbrook!!  Anyway, we got to the venue earlier than the booker (as usual) and rocked out to Guns N Roses for a good 20 minutes.  By the time it started there were a real good amount of kids there.  In all the excitement of wanting to play and also wanting to not get arrested for having beer outside a venue, I locked the friggin keys in the van.  Pell's amazing skills were able to fish them off the floor thru a slightly open window with 2 clothes hangers.  Good job buddy.  The place really got crazy for us and Always and Forever and we had such a sick time.  Met a lot more incredibly cool people.  The Capulet Erotic showed us a good time after the show at a house party.  Lots of thanks to everyone who had us over there.  We decided to drive through the night that night to get back to NYC and some how made the 7 hour drive on ONE tank of gas, haha.

All in all it was an amazing friggin tour.  We just broke even with $ (which is very rare for an unsigned touring band, haha) and we all just had a great time.  We're going to be heading back up to the North East this August and we can't wait to have an even better time!  We have a lot of pictures up in the tour pictures section of the photo album so go check it out and comment!!
