Current mood:  triumphant
I am happy to announce that "Light Parade" a song i wrote this past year, is featured in an up and coming film entitiled "How I Got Lost" written & directed by Joe Leonard. It is based primarily in New York City around the time of 9/11 & the big city blackout.

Check out more at http://www.howigotlost.com/

The movie is amazing, and I am honored to be a part of it. I am especially grateful to Joe Leonard for choosing to include my music in his film, to Sir Dominic Bartolini for adding such beautiful guitar melodies, as well as mixing & mastering the track. Also, a big thank you to the studio musicians who came in to perform on the song. It was recorded in late fall of 08. Dean Johnston kicked ass on drums, I remember him humming the song as he was walking down the stairwell at the end of the session. And Aaron Bellamy, master of groove and soul, not only recorded the session, but also played his magic on bass.

Cant wait to see it on the big screen. Showing at Tribeca Theatre in NYC Fri, July 0th 2009. Buy tickets now, almost sold out!!!! Big smiles, and many thanks...

Current mood:  electric

rock and roll starved soul
gave back all the love i stole
sweet surrender, yeah

sit with broken wings
remember when i could fly
to free my own mind

lost my New York City blues
walkin in old shoes
when luby gave me red ones

pretty girls can be so cold
all done up like dolls
hearts dont beat blood in them dolls

coffee hits morning
mountain fog tired eyes
no match for the fire

heart of buffalo
beats eternal rock lightfeet
warrior remains

merciless waves he says
caught on a rock by the tide
motorcycle ride

big bell ringing loud
birds fly in cathedral cave
monks on space mountain

arms swingin singin
strings hit by hammer of time
sing at ancient stars

santa monica
two tickets, ferris wheel ride
cotton candy wigs

new electric soul
fire orange with pearl inlay
one year no reefer

said "hey hey my my"
"rock and roll will never die"
slice of plain pizza

we were living in the world of the dead at the hotel vernon. a tiny orb of starlight twinkling in the heavens, calmly drawing us to her center.

once, in a hotel bed, where he lay down beside her, drunk, happy. she slid the hat off his head, and he breathed from her lips a gentle sigh of surrender. now years later, she lay buried beneath the floorboards, damp and in the darkness, pressed together like a pile of grapes, her legend bearing the test of time, her ruins reaping us the finest of wines.

and in we stroll into the bar like angels, lost until our wings awaken from their slumber of sorrow, and we sacrifice our golden coins one by one in trade for dreams, ghosts wandering around smoking cigarettes, alive in our minds as we line up our pool shots. remembering later, that we are gods among men, the living amongst the dead. it was in this one day that we had found her, alone at the bar, our vestal virgin. our place to exist. and live on while we can, dance and twirl into the wee hours twilight. telling the tales of time, tipping over tables, tasting the spray of salt water, thirsty for one more beer.

seven horses

am i running out of time?
am i already too late, oh the night
holding on too tight
could this be the end of our kind?

i wanna be there when i die
so we can lay it out on the table one last time
i thought i would get it right
maybe, no not tonight

guess i'll have to hold on
hold on to what's right

center yourself
humble your heart
this is your final test
don't think so hard

seven horses running for the horizon

now I gotta take back what i never said
how do i?
how do i take back the world that is
all around us

take back the weight of love
you can get there far far above
