NEWS! new songs up!! new label and comp!!!!

hello hello! so news hmmm?

so the end of this month(october) 24th we will be off on a 9 day sprint with the awesome Roll Call For The Second Site across europe(france/germany/holland) check the page for details. cant wait to hit the tarmack with them! apart from that we are all living together now, which makes things easier as you can imagen. so we have started to get our shit toegther and sort some Ateam plans. we record our album(deathlake. or there abouts?) over the christmas break. Febuary we are planing to tour Ireland and our album tour will be april 2nd onwards, first half with Nitkowski and second with SYE.

also just to let you know we have put up 2 new(ish) songs up on our page. one is of our split with Shield your eyes(misanthrope) and one we just wrote and recorded at ellis place for our 12" compulation we're putting out with Nitkowski and Shield your eyes.

while im here ill explain- three labels-Triple jump(us), gravid hands(nit), saddam hussian(SYE) are putting out volumes of 12" copulations under the name Poolside Funk, on which will be 9 diy bands on each volume. i suggest you all keep an ear out for these as they will be packed full of the awesom'est diy bands from the UK, europe and hopefully futher. first one should be out early next year. keep an eye out for new pages. shows and all sorts DIY from us SOON!

The List Continues-Shield Your Eyes Split and Tour.

So we just got back from a short tour of the UK to pedal our brand new split 7" with the Amazing Shield Your Eyes. It was only 7 shows in 6 days, but boy oh boy was it awesome hitting the road with such good friends and inspiring people. and meeting so many new odd and awesome people along the way. we had a fucking RAD time. its what its all about:-) We'd just like to thank the following people-

Samir at Jamboree for a great first show. Chris once again for letting kick out the jams in Glasgow(love that city) and Mandy (And SAC) for helping us out with both Glasgow AND inverness, it was great having a you along for the ride(shame it wasnt longer) and thanks for putting up with six smelly drunk foul mouthed boys in such a small space;-) SAC blew my mind!! Thanks to Adam for Moorfest and Pete the stage manager for letting us rush in and out (was well worth it) a BIG thanks to Marty for Nottingham. we really enjoyed our first time there, hanging out and partying HARD;-) hope theres many more. Thanks to Ternary and Black Heart Orchestra for turning the stage to splinters with us two's at the Cocks show. Thanks to Zak, Mikee and Cheryl at We Heart Records for all their hard work and support of both bands, and of course our final show in Weymouth. we are so so happy with the split. Last and not least every single person that spent their hard earned money coming to a show and buying a copy.

THE FUTURE! AND SOOOOOON!!!

Ok! Where to start? Where to start?

Let me first off give a personal internet high five to our new drummer of 7 months, Gareth! if you haven't met him yet, he's an awesome bloke and equally awesome drummer. the last 7 months have been amazing and i feel more than ever that silent front is now the three of us(at last). It's time to get on with it!! which brings me nicely into my next "bit".

We've got lots coming up shows/tours/releases wise. This coming August sees the release of our split 7" with the fantastic Shield Your Eyes (SEE THIS BAND) through the most awesome guys you'll ever meet- We Heart Records, which we will be going away on a brief UK tour with. 5th through to the 9th August (see shows for locations) the two release nights for this 7" will be - 25th JULY @ ZAKS BASEMENT (north london) and the 9th AUGUST @ THE FIGHTING COCKS (sw london)

Also on the tour errrr front (sorry) we have recently been asked by the lovely people in Roll Call For The Second Site to go on a week stint in Germany, which is great of them to ask us. it should be a amazing time, not only to get to know each other a little bit better but to meet others and play a country that we seldom play. THANKS!! we also hope to tie up some French dates for the beginning of the tour too.

In between all this there are plenty of shows coming up, where we will start (after and during tour) exercising our new songs for our first album, which will be titled DEAD LAKE. We are only one song away from completing it and plan to hopefully start recording after either the August or October tours. Release and tour dates then!

In other news! We now have a van, thanks to our lovely drummer Gareth, who sold his car and bought a tasty VW transporter, which we hope to tear up the UK and Europe in soon, once its had a few nips and tucks, few things changed and tuned. come end of August we shall also have a Silent Front HQ as the three of us are moving in together to set up shop, work as little as possible and play as much as possible, be as constructive as possible in all things DIY. any bands that are touring after August and need a place to crash- COME STAY!!!

A BIG THANK YOU!!!!!

just a short message to say a BIG thank you to everyone who helped us out with a show, tried to help us out with a show last minute, fed us, watered us, put us up, put up with us, came to a show, bought merch, interviewed us, outerviewed us, clapped and shouted, smoked and drank with us!

most of all thank you:

Alex, michel and Jerome and everyone in REVOK
Glas Art and everyone who was at the paris show
JB and Marine for putting us on in their lovely house in the country and for hanging out with us on our day off and being such excellent and kind hosts(ess's) and letting us be bouncers for them and kicking out 19yo drunk punks;-)
a BIG thank you to Arno AKA Grosbill for finding us a last minute show that was fucking AWESOME!! and for putting us up and feeding us. you da man!!
thanks to jeremy, tobys unc for sorting us a place to sleep at his lovely friends flat and showing us around. (i forgive you for putting toothpaste on my face when i was passed out and taking photos;-)
thanks to everyone at Grrd Zero and everyone who came to the Lyon show. a big thank you to the mighty Digo and Chick Peas for helping us out with a blinding last show of the tour and rocking it hard with us.

DAN!! it was fucking awesome to meet you, thanks for being there with a camera/cam'corder when no one esle would of been, i cant wait to see it edited and ready to go out. ive made a new friend. good lad!!

THANK YOU SHEILD YOUR EYES!!!!! you are the BOMB!!! and our brothers and you rocked it EVERY nite. those of you who dont know this band, do yourself a favour and check them out NOW!! one of the best new UK bands around!! love you guys and cant wait to do it again when our album comes out.

S.F NEWS UPDATE!!

hello all! just to give you an update of what we are doing as its been rather quite for us recently. this is because we are in the studio writing our first full lenght, which should be about 10 tracks long and be available on 12" and cd from hopefully a few lovely diy labels that you know and love.

we will be playing ocasional shows but we wont be going out of our way to play as much as we usually do as we are concentrating on writing, as its always a long process for us.

the main things we have coming upwill be a short weekender with the awesome Sheild Your Eyes and the amazing Lakes on the weekend of the 27th/28th/29th june.

after the summer we will be going on a short euro/uk tour with Shield Your Eyes for about ten dates in the october half-term but we will be doing the UK half separate later on in the year!!

(UPDATE!)SILENTFRONT/CONCENTRATIONCHAMP SKELA-TOUR SEPTEMBER 06 & SPLIT 7

Righty Right! All our dates bar two or three have been now confirmed(see below) and we are just waiting on some names of two of the squats we're playing in poland, so things are ready to roll from the 16th september! we are just waiting on the crispy new 7" to arrive from the plant and it will be ready (fingers crossed) just in time for screen printing and tour, but when we return we will be playing several Launch shows in the U.K.

a BIG thank you to Matt from God Is Dad records, Zak and Mikee from We Heart Records, Chris from 3D glasses for all his free hard work on the cover art and layout, Nash for the free bastard chore of screen printing the buggers, to Jon from Ack Ack Ack for all the hard driving ahead! and a BIG BIG thank you to everyone who has given us a show to play in there lovely countrys! there will be a big thank you list put up here and on our website when we return, thanking everyone from this tour and the last!
