After writing this song and attending the MJ Memorial Service, I had some closure on MJ's passing. Feeling much better now. Download the song at www.CyranoEsq.com and at www.Hyplified.com

Produced by Ryan Lisse of Hyplified out of Amsterdam. We hope y'all like it.

See the quickly put together video:

http://www.youtube.com/wat..ch?v=7Esb8a7eZAY
Spread the song/video. Aired on Fox News aafterthey interviewed me at the memorial service!

Intro:
A man who has arguably touched more hearts than any other person before him or that will come after him thru the universal language of music and humanitarian efforts. He was a blessing to us all..
The magic of his many crafts is permanently emblazoned in our cultural fabric.
The air was sucked outta the room when you passed away, Mike.
I'm writing this song to be able to breathe again.

Verse 1:
U're the King of Pop
whether the hataz wanna give u p'z or not.
Who needs their propz?
Never your legacy's forgot.
When I heard the news, man I really and truly had to breathe and stop.
Like breathing was not important with everything we lost.
And it's impossible to measure all the grief we got.
Watchin' the BET awards with Jamie Da Foxx.
I can't believe we got thru it. Indeed it's not
easy to mourn on live TV when everyone's feeling shocked.
And, God bless Janet Jackson for the speech she dropped.
MJ's a legend, an icon. But family to u.
I'm sendin' all my love and prayers and positive energy to u.
I know the relatives and the big homie Quincy has got
to be mourning your brother dearly, sendin' tears to God.
I wish u peace and not pain. Hope it eases up.
Hey... Let's celebrate his life. Man, Billie Jean is hott!

Hook:
Baby, now u're back home.
Now u're at home.
They will leave u alone.
They will leave u alone.

I hope that u find some peace for your soul.

Verse 2:
Don't worry about the comeback.
Anyway, what's that?
U neva stopped bein' the talented one that
inspired us all. Black
white, brown... we're all wearin' one hat.
And of course one sparkling glove. U're so full of magic and love.
I think that we gotta give some back.
Comeback to us.
Your spirit will never leave us.
Smooth criminal and Dirty Diana.
We had a friend like Ben. No Strangers is Moscow.
U befriend us. It don't matter if u're Black or White. It's what inside that matters.
U taught us to save the planet...
Earth Song and Heal the Globe
a.k.a. Heal The World. Baby, u are not alone.
My mama called me on the phone.
She caught me in a zone.
Holdin' back the years like a Simply Red song.
Holdin' back the tears. How could u be dead and gone?
When somebody hears Thriller come on
it's clear that u infuenced us all.... style, vibe, tone.
I look at the sky and smile knowin' your legacy lives on.
Michael Jackson.

Hook: 2x

Rotterdam's finest (Keizer) collabs with Chicago's finest (Cyrano, Esq.) for a lyrical assault in Dutch & English. Amazing rapid-fire twistin' on the mic over a bangin' track from DJ Khaled used on Keizer's new mixtape Straategisch! http://www.CyranoEsq.com http://www.Twitter.com/CyranoEsq http://www.Youtube.com/CyranoEsq

It has been quite a grind over the past year and a half... working on building my music career while completing my Juris Doctorate degree at the University of Southern California Law School and my Masters of Law degree at the London School of Economics simultaneously! There's barely a moment to breathe sometimes!...to just sit back and take it all in... appreciate my accomplishments... and guide my future while analyzing my past. But, I'm here to say that I'm doing it! At the age of ONLY a quarter-century, I'm doing things and have done things that a black male from the SouthSide of Chicago would most likely not even dream of! Feel me? I am humbled by it and I feel a great sense of responsibility and an even fiercer sense of the urgency of NOW... becuz so many of my people get STUCK!

What I am attempting to do is to be one more piece of the puzzle that helps correct "America's Birth Defect" (a title of one of my songs). The country was born upon pain and division. I want to bring it together with my music and community activism... speaking on topics of love and romance, while also speaking on crucial socio-cultural and socio-political topics. And, I want to be able to do so while maintaining complete integrity and street credibility.

I've seen so much in my young life...from the Southside to Prague to Jordan. I've seen so many faces...so many places... and all I can say is that we've got a long way to go... but we're getting there!

Electing Barack Obama is a big step towards overcoming historical wounds of this country and towards spreading a new message of unity throughout the world. So, fight with us to get him elected. VOTE! And please supoprt the musik.

There are several beautifully talented artists in my circle of close artists friends : Skim, Pat's Justice, Mark Gonzalez, etc. We work closely with Tupac's mentor, Leila Steinberg in her non-profit org called "Alternative Intervention Models" and the related artist development workshop called "The Microphone Sessions" (available by live straming soon). Our goal is to make powerful music that motivates people and changes hearts and minds.

I appreciate you support! Elect Obama! Let's make it happen

Word...

The London musik scene is interestin'. I have sat back and watched. I'm really serious about observation. And being here for a year has allowed me to really get a sense of what the musik scene is like.

What concerns me is the lack of support for hip-hop artists. Although the scene is slowly developin' and growin', it is nowhere near where it ought to me. France has a huge hip-hop scene. Other countries have strong hip-hop scenes. The UK? Not so much. And, it's NOT because the artists aren't here! There are some really talented muthafuckaz spittin' around here who put their hearts into it and do not attempt to emulate the U.S. hip-hop scene so hard. Nobody takes it seriously when they try to tell stories like they are living in the States when they really probably have never even visited. I've heard artists bringin' their own perspectives to the art, and it sounds lovely.

I have friends fly over here from New York and LA... doing live shows and workin' with folks out here who are tryin' to get the ball rollin'. And, as I have stood in front of the stage, one thing I noticed was that I never had ANY trouble gettin' to the front of the crowd. Why not? Nobody cares that much! Artists are performin' hott songs and tryin' to pump the crowd up, but the crowd is just sittin' there. D.E.A.D! And, I'm just like come on maaaaaaan! I admit... sometimes the songs were boring as a piece of white bread. But sometimes the artists and the songs were great! And their support level was not so great.

London has a huge alternative/acoustic scene. You can find it everywhere... people performing in many venues. I've been to several of these events...at the Hard Rock and several other locations. These people have followings. Why can't our people get a following? Everybody would rather bump 50 Cent and Lil Wayne in the UK thatn supportin' their own artists?!? I mean...kool, mate... love Lil Wayne... but don't you got some love for Dizzee Rascal?

I've done a couple of shows in London and have had a good reception even amongst these stoic crowds. Do people here have a U.S. bias? I'm sayin'... PLEASE do love and support these U.S. artists, especially the Indie ones. But support your own as well cuz some of these dudes and ladies got skillz!

I will add to this freestyle poem indefinitely until one day I feel it is complete. I will separate additions by double-spacing.

Sunshower, rainflower, May hour to spend.
Blossom within becuz that's where the blossoming begins.
The fruit is the vice. The nectar is the stem.
The beginning is the end.
Let go of time until it bends.
U will understand tha love if forever... then.

If forever... when?
Is forever... so nothing does depend.
Uncondition... your... comprehension.
Brilliant.
Simplistic.

Known

Have you ever not known how you

feel

how you feel?

Sometimes, I feel special. Sometimes

Sometimes I feel accomplished. Sometimes.

Some time to think from level 22 panoramic

View

What is my view? My perspective... on my

life?

As the days pass, do I understand anything

I certainly understood many things

when I was younger.

Now, I've been places. Places...

above and beyond what I understood.

I'd suspect it would make things more clear.

Instead, aurora confusion.

Expand the illusion of grandeur until.

Until the soul seeks home. Seeks known

like intimacy? Yes... just like intimacy.

And, the passion for new contrasts with the urgency for old

in a lemonhead combustion... lick.

Which is the sweet?

But, I do know as I look down on the little houses, the smaller people...

face to face with the mountains and that sign in them (reminds me of the London Eye)...

I do miss "known". This is a void.
