Hey everyone,
many thanks to everyone who came to support us at the grote prijs finals! Especcially to the mini-brassband that suprised everyone at the end...
We enjoyed it very much and allthough we would have loved to be first, we didn't mind being second best; we already fell in love with Eefje's songs and smile. So we wish Eefje all the best reaching for the stars!

Dear friends,
the Grote Prijs finals are getting pretty close and we would love to have many of you with us in Paradiso.
There are a few discount-tickets left and besides that there is a reserve-list. Ofcourse you can also just order your ticket at the Ticket Service, but that's a little bit more expensive. But: if we are the first band to order the most tickets, we get a free tourbus to drive our audience to Paradiso. And even if that's impossible because everybody lives all over the country, or even all over the world, we can always pick you guys up at Central Station and drive around on the freeway just for the fun of it!
So please, mail us asap!
We also need you to join a huge choir in the audience. We need at least 50 people to make it work in Paradiso, so please sign on! We will do 1 or 2 rehearsels the coming month.
Hope to hear from you!
love,

Dear friends,
yesterday we played the semi-finals. 4 singer songwriters played in the shed were the queens blacksmith used to work: interesting!
We played 5 songs, and Jonas and Andreas joined us on violin and cello. Very nice, and we did a good job. But, well, I'm afraid we didn't win, although we didn't agree ofcourse...
'Mary had a little band' won the title and is playing in the finals. If you want to check out their music, go to www.myspace.com/maryhadalittleband.
As brown feather sparrow goes: in a few weeks we'll know if we get into the finals with a wildcard after all. If not, well, we'll count our losses, and go on our merry way again.
All the best!

Well, this morning we left early, hoping we would get home early. Well, no problems on the way for the first 6 hours, but close to Hamburg: a flat tire... That’s what you get for loading up a van way beyond it’s maximum... But the ATAC got us back on the road and we arrived around midnight.
And that was all,
all the best and hope to see you at our dutch shows in autumn,

Early breakfast, long drive to Malmö. Petrus, our host for tour last show, joined us in the van. His house was huge and they had one philosophy; every couch is also a bed. So there were always lots of guests around. This time, we were his guests.
He was in a comity that booked concerts in a small church-hall. It wasn’t being used a lot. so they could borrow the place for small concerts. It was a beautiful place, with nice seats and a balcony, so it felt like a theatre. On the wall behind us there were 7 angels watching over us. The acoustics were great, so we finished our set with two acoustic songs from the balcony upstairs.
Nice show to end a tour with!
We went up to the city centre and had some drinks with our friends from former Lampshade that live in Malmö. We shared our plans and experiences; it was really nice to meet up after all this time!

Yesterday we played in on the Frizon festival. We met up with some other bands from Sally and Volkoren that played there. There was a real dutch invasion going on this year. We felt honored that so many dutch bands were invited to Frizon.
For the first time in months the weather in Sweden was great, perfect for a festival, so everybody was in a really good mood. Behind the barn we had a great view from the top of the hill. Early in the evening you could see the sunset from there.
We played in a huge barn on a big stage, great sound, great show. There were seats in the hall, so everybody was being really polite, sitting down and listening quietly, almost like church people. During the first songs a bunch of young Swedish fans came up to the front and danced like we were a disco-band; thank you we had fun! At the end of the show we decided to do an acoustic song to get the rest off the crowd on their feet too, and before we new it the audience gathered around us, singing and clapping along. That was unexpected and a great experience!
Today we did a small acoustic set in a tent, and sang everybody to sleep at the end of their day. We had some hamburgers and went to sleep; the next morning we had to leave for Malmö and our dutch friends had to leave for the airport.
So we said our goodbuys and left; we hope to come back to Frizon next year!
