"Life is like a box of crayons. Most people are the 8-color boxes, but what you're really looking for are the 64-color boxes with the sharpeners on the back. I fancy myself to be a 64-color box, though I've got a few missing. It's ok though, because I've got some more vibrant colors like periwinkle at my disposal. I have a bit of a problem though in that I can only meet the 8-color boxes. Does anyone else have that problem? I mean there are so many different colors of life, of feeling, of articulation.. so when I meet someone who's an 8-color type.. I'm like, "hey girl, magenta!" and she's like, "oh, you mean purple!" and she goes off on her purple thing, and I'm like, 'no - I want magenta!'"

today was a pretty eventful day...
started the day by attending ADT dance competition in san diego...
then had lunch at pechanga...
drank some wine and chilled at mi casa for a bit...
headed over to yardhouse at rancho
and now i'm finally back home...

in the beginning of the day i never would have thought it would have turned out like this...
i'm sure i'll laugh about this night for a while...

i love it that i'm busy non-stop!!!

no time for distractions and unnecessary problems and drama... it's refreshing!

i mean i'm really really tired and you can tell with the bags under my eyes... but it's WORTH IT!?!

my life feels more in track and in order... and i'm surprised it's kept up this far... it's already week five into spring quarter... and i'm doing just fine...

i just need to keep focus... remember to study... and when dance comp is finally over in the 17th... i'll have more time to rest and study...

hopefully all this work will pay off and i'll finish up spring quarter with the GPA i'm striving for and my work-out schedule will help me in the summer for climbing, kayaking, mountain biking and all the other recreational things i get myself into :)

when you are hurt you lose all rationality and succumb to hopes and dreams that will never be. you start over analyzing things to the point of insanity. you are convinced that there is and was something you could have done about it. you hate yourself for not preventing it from happening and think that you should have known better and should have seen it coming. but in truth anything can happen; it is unpredictable and you can't do anything about it. the only variable you can change is YOU. you have to accept that not everything will or can be perfect and that you are powerless to the unknown and the inevitable. it's a battle you can't win.

so where do you go from now? accept the things you cannot change. be aware that there are other possibilities that you have yet to find. it doesn't have to end here. learn from your mistakes and the mistakes he made. when the time is right everything will fall into place and you'll look back and will be thankful of what you went through in the past and have a better appreciation of the present.

remember you are worth fighting for. so don't give up on yourself by letting petty things get the best of you. don't lose sight of yourself, put a smile on your face and move on. also, be aware of yourself and what you are capable of; what you need and what you can go without.
