.. A FEEL GOOD HIT FOR SUMMER
A crusty bar soaked with rhythm and melody, a
crazy arrangment of smiley happy folk all tucked in for the same reason; people eager too feast on Dallas frasca and CO, the smell of cheap
beer and spirits.
You know when you arrive too a live show,and you get the feeling
of, "Oh my lord", the wheels are gunna fly right off today and that they
did just nicely. Firstly the raidiator boiled like a old steam engine
then
all the rims flew off like a button ripped from a shirt then flipping
on ones lid the show scraped over the finish line on its roof just
beautifully.
There was a young lady in the crowd heard saying, "I think i just
got ran over by a kombi that has just been shot from a cannon full of
Janis records, mixed punk tapes and a ipod of metal!!!!"
Today the bands guitars sound like they have chewed multiple
pill bottles of steroids and gargled down with brake fluid, Dallas'
voice is that sound of million dollar nodules.
We think at this show, there was even a new style created? Death rap?
In the back streets of bro's bane aka Vegas aka Brisbane you can
find secret little crazy fun time gigs as they say small fish can be
sweet :] so stay tuned for these secret funny little shows
If not liking secrets just like moon boy doesn't! You can catch Frasca and the freak show at a festival near you.

Triple J darling child Dallas Frasca is unleashing a debut album, Not For Love Or Money,
and the lady means business. The Victoria-based roots girl made her
name when she won the alt-friendly radio station’s Light Your Fuse
award in 2006, leading into three solid years of touring, collecting a
sizeable fan base while she was at it.
Somewhere in the last twelve months, Frasca found time to hit the
studio, and the result is an LP that both validates her return to the
scene and makes a sizeable statement as an artist.
A love of hard rock is apparent – this one hasn’t lost Frasca’s roots vibes, not by a long shot, but Not For Love Or Money
is laced with grungy tones and moody vibes. Her growling vocals don’t
just layer, they intertwine, and that in part is what makes Frasca
stand out – the texture she brings to the sound of heart meets hell.
Opening track Leave Me Alone crawls its way under your skin with its creeping bass lines and dynamic percussion, while the pop-infused Til’ The End I’ll Walk Proudly is a toe-tapping anthem in its own right.... for the most part the set
consists of well written, well produced tunes that make for an
enjoyable album.
It’s rare for a musician’s raw, live energy to transcend into recorded
matter, but producer Forrester Savell works magic, adding another layer
of quality to an already impressive disc.
Not For Love Or Money is the sound of a woman to be reckoned with, and it something to be enjoyed to say the very least.

Dallas Frasca Not For Love or Money (Spank Betty/Shock) When
she plays live Dallas Frasca’s robust, muscular vocals, chunky riffs
and wild stage presence command rapt attention. On her excellent album Not For Love Or Money
it is clear that Frasca’s high-energy approach to hard-edged roots rock
has translated well from the live environment to the confines of the
studio. Which, as it stands, is more than a lot of other acts can
boast.
At the ragged end of an energy sapping day, your humble
writer slapped this disc into the car stereo and received the sonic
equivalent of an adrenalin shot, as Frasca successfully blew the
mid-week cobwebs to smithereens. Her vocals are so reassuringly huge
and unrestrained that it’s hard to resist singing along.
Highlights of this sterling album include: the tasty lead guitar work on opening salvo Leave Me Alone; the headbang-inducing riffology and sensuous grunts that characterise the incendiary I Like You Better When You’re Straight; the way she holds the notes like an old-school metal guru on Thank You For Making Me Who I Am;<./i> and, the primal, foot-stompin’ rhythm of the swampy Burnt Toast.
If you like your rock molten, monolithic and propelled by passion and authenticity, it’s time to tune into Dallas Frasca.
