New Labour and the BNP are two sides of the same Zionist coin

by Dr Mustaqim Bleher at http://flyingimam.blogspot.com/

What do the British prime minister and the leader of the British National Party have in common? Their unconditional support for Israel and loathing of any Muslim wanting to retain more than a token adherence to his faith. Bad enough, that New Labour served international capital and bankers better than the Tories under Margaret Thatcher, their domestic and foreign policies are now no longer distinguishable from that of BNP leader Nick Griffins. Should Labour ever manage to shed this disgraceful legacy, which is doubtful, Tony Blair might find a new political home with the BNP.
Sir Rodric Braithwaite, a former senior ambassador, claimed Mr Blair's "total identification'' with US policy had wrecked Britain's influence abroad and increased the likelihood of terrorism at home, calling for the prime minister to resign immediately. According to the New Statesman magazine, Mr Blair was informed in advance of the Israeli attack on Lebanon, but did nothing to stop it. He has consistently refused to condemn Israel's actions as disproportionate and instead focused during his US tour on waffling on about refining the war on terror by empowering and mobilising moderate Islam, a euphemism for the accelerated secularisation of Muslims in the West.
Blair's sell-out to Israel and the Zionist agenda should not come as a surprise. Labour was moved into government through the strategic help of Peter Mandelsohn, the fundraising efforts of Lord Michael Levy, and the media propaganda of the Sun newspaper owned by Rupert Murdoch all of whom are Jewish supporters of Israel. Zionist lobbying power in the UK is no less effective than in the US. Recently, it has also turned its attention to the British National Party which, under the leadership of Nick Griffin, has identified Muslims as their common enemy. Since Muslim-bashing is the respectable face of racism, it allows the BNP to gain mainstream credibility by abandoning its more xenophobic message from the past.
"I support Israel 100%" writes BNP chief polemicist Lee Barnes with Griffin's blessing. "In fact, I hope they wipe Hezbollah off the Lebanese map and bomb them until they leave large greasy craters in the cities where their Islamic extremist cantons of terror once stood." He then turns on the British media: "The fact that the British media has become the European propaganda wing of Hezbollah and churns out endless montages of wounded children, old men and women whilst never showing any footage of dead Hezbollah terrorists, blown up Hezbollah weapons dumps and footage of bombed Hezbollah camps should get some people thinking", he whines, and claims that the reports from the BBC and other British Media are openly anti-Israeli.
According to Barnes, "Israel is the only living organic nationalist state on the planet." In his assessment "Israel have adopted one of the most restrained invasions in world history The media , and the pet politicians of the New World Order that are also calling for a ceasefire, are all stooges of the United Nations, the European Union and the rest of the International Elite that regard Nationalism and nation states as historical anachronisms that must be wiped out. All true nationalists should be supporting Israel in this struggle not attacking them for rejecting the orders of the New World Order."
This erroneous and selective reading of history misses not only the point that the state of Israel was founded on terror, including the blowing up of the King David Hotel in Jerusalem and the kidnapping and slow hanging with piano wire of two British army sergeants under the British Mandate, ordered by Irgun terror gang chief Menachim Begin, later Likud leader and Israeli prime minister. The British showed a lot more restraint than the Israelis just did when their soldiers were taken, and the BNP should change the first letter  in its name to an I for Israel.

And, of course, Israel is not a nationalist state, that is it is not a state content to remain within national borders. It is the driving force behind the globalisation and "One World" movement. Ben Gurion once observed that the UN was a Jewish ideal and dreamt that Jerusalem would be the seat of the Supreme Court of Mankind. One world government with the Zionist entity at the helm to judge amongst the gentiles is what Israel sets out to establish, to restore the temple and take the Temple Mount back from the Muslims. The Israel envisaged by Theodor Herzl included Lebanon, Jordan, Iraq and Syria. The reshaping of the Middle East is only the continuation of a plan laid out long before the official establishment of the state of Israel. We are indeed seeing the "birth pangs" of a new Middle East and world order, as the American secretary of state put it. The Iraq war and the coming war against Syria are being conducted in the interest of Zionist domination.

Now before those subservient to Israeli interests try and convince their populace that an international court of justice administered by enlightened Jews in Jerusalem is not such a bad idea in order to bring peace to the world, they better familiarise themselves with the racist "supermensch" ideology of the Zionists. According to Rabbinical law the life of a Jew is infinitely more precious than that of a gentile, and when it comes to safeguarding Jewish interests, particularly in war, there are no innocents according to the Yesha Rabbinical Council in Israel. Before accepting the Pax Judea the Zionist apologists better read Alan Dershowitz's elaborate argumentation why non-Jewish civilian casualties, even of children, don't really count. They have been asked by the Israeli Defence Force to leave and not stand in the way, so if they are still there and get hit, they have collaborated with the enemy and brought their fate upon themselves.

Zionist end-time Christians in America hope that by supporting Israel they will hasten Armageddon. In their unholy alliance with the Zionists they think in the back of their minds that they will, of course, convert all remaining Jews or get rid of those who refuse. Their Zionist partners in this pact expect them to submit to slavery under their Noachite laws. Muslims, from their prophecies, know that the false Messiah, the Dajjal, will emerge on the road between Syria and Iraq. The time cannot be far off.

A breakfast in Gaza

A constellation of saucers
Large, small, flat, bowled
Spread out across the plastic
Some fresh hot, others cold.

A gathering of a family
Father, daughter, young, old.
In static orbit round the plate spread
Breaking fast, breaking hunger's hold.

There's the hommous, a constant presence
Duned by dips of bits of bread
Holding pools of olive oil
Sprouting herbs and paprika red.

There's the milk white bars of Nablus cheese
Exuding flavour in their salty pool.
There's the lumpy lava of blotted browns
Containing the fool's source of Arab fuel.

There's the fried eggs' golden shine
Their yins and yangs made one.
And fried liver from the same bird
Black and friable, in lemon well done.

As always zeit and za'tar
The duo never miss a spread
Virgin oil dipped in pungent thyme
Are a match destined to wed.

There's the slowly shrinking glaciers
Of pure white labneh and yoghurt.
And this morning's falafel batch
With the hommous they do flirt.

There's the rich soil of Gaza,
Her poor people enjoyed
In the olives, cucumbers, oranges
Of trees not yet destroyed.

A gathering of a family
Mother, son, young, old
Passing around the bread
Flat discs you can tear or fold.

Then there's the missile
It may have been a shell
With Gaza under bombardment
It's just another home that fell.

A constellation of saucers
Shattered
Hommous, za'tar, labneh
Scattered
Shards of glass, wasted food
Debris after destruction.

A gathering of a family
Brother, sister, young, old
Lay still around the debris
Breaking fast, breaking this world's hold.

Hi all,

This week's been busy but great. Been seeing much family among other things. I don't have time to put up regular bulletins, but for now let me share some links of things I've been reading this morning as I've been doing some catch up on the news:

Browse whatreallyhappened.com . Lots of news worth reading there.

Xymphora has a couple excellent blogs:
On the Zionist plan for the Middle East, and how some of it is being applied by US foreign policy:
http://xymphora.blogspot.com/2006/07/zionist-plan-for-middle-east.html
And on Greg Palast's attempt at deflecting blame from Zionism to oil:
http://xymphora.blogspot.com/2006/07/oil-and-deceit.html

But really, all Xymphora's blogs are excellent, so check it out, especially if interested in the Palestine/Israel topic, Zionism, US foreign policy, etc.

I've also been reading all the blogs, whose addresses I have on my profile, check em out if you have time. For example check out Lenin's Tomb's posts on the fear of 'Eurabia', or the Flying Imam's comments on Alqaeda 'infiltrating' MI6, or Rolled Up Trouser's comments on Blair and BritMedia hypocrisy on terror and Islam (also go down to his 'Hadji girl' post on punishment hypocricy).

I've also downloaded the book 'The Manufacture and Sale of Saint Einstein' onto USB, and have been reading bits whenever I found myself free with a PC alone (oh the guilty pleasures). So far it's proving an excellent read on the history of Zionism, bringing in many sources and quotes. Even German sources are left in their original language! Any translators willing to turn those passages into English please let me know. Download it at:
http://www.erichufschmid.net/EinsteinAndZionism.html
The page also has links to inteviews with the author. I still didn't hear those, but intend to when I get the chance.

As always, for those delving deeper into the Zionist issue, I recommend the audio files at www.iamthewitness.com .

Ok people, I will slowly be replying to emails over this month. Be well all, keep up the good struggle,
Peace,

Look further down for some humour by Ry.

Anyways, I visited Alex Jones' myspace page, and saw a debate going on on his comments board. I started writing a comment, and it developed into an impromptu essay. To not limit it to AJ's friends, here's the whole thing I wrote, plus a title added for officialdom:

On Zionism?

by Majid Zakaria

Am seeing a debate raging on this comments board. I think I'll throw in my two cents. My profile pretty much shows my position on things. I tend to agree with what Leakey is getting at. Now I appreciate the work AJ does, his sites and videos have been very informative for me over the years. But Leakey is correct in saying that he doesn't cover the Zionist faction as in depth compared to thier influence, and brushes them off as small players while concentrating on Occult secret societies. Now this may be for many reasons, from as benign as that he is convinced that he has the truth, or we could assume that he is bought off, intimidated, sloppy, or actively in disinfo.

I won't claim to know what AJ is about, but being so prominent in the truth movement and yet failing to mention really basic VERIFIABLE facts is a reason I haven't been relying on him for news lately.

I've seen people below say that people who point out Zionism discredit the truth movement because that would be 'bigotry', promote 'holocaust denial', etc. This shows an ignorance of what Zionism is. Zionism is NOT Judaism, nor are all Jews Zionists, nor are all Zionists Jews. What AJ fails to talk about is that the occultic people he goes after are hard-core Zionists (Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld, etc), and he fails to show that their policies have been formulated and pushed by hardcore Zionists (Clean Break and PNAC writers including Wolfowitz, Perle, Feith, Wurmser, etc). So already by just looking up names of players, we see the Zionist nature of the key movers and players. Then look at the names, affiliations, loyalties of the top media, corporate, and industry owners, and again you'll see a preponderance of Zionists, both Jewish and Christian, who donate to Zionist causes, are members of Zionist organisations, and sometimes are even dual Israeli citizens. And then look into government policy makers, lobbyists (Abramoff, AIPAC being notorious as THE most powerful, etc), and again... all Zionist.

So let's say what a Zionist is, so when you check all the above for yourself, you'll realize what I'm talking about. Zionism rests on several main pillars: the aim of creating the country of Israel (done), populating it with Jews (done), protecting it and make it a world power (being done via US proxy), once it's powerful enough, rebuild the temple of Solomon (plans/material prepared) and prepare the world for the coming/return of the Messiah to rule.

Now you may say that AJ doesn't talk about the Zionists being the main players because of supposed lack of evidence, I don't buy that. I already mentioned above that just by looking at who occupies the influential positions in government/media/corporatism, etc, you'll find a preponderance of Zionists. But AJ prefers to talk about the occult and secret societies, instead of just looking at the mainstream to see who does what. Even in that field he fails to 'connect the dots'.

Now it's definitely true that all sorts of cults, pagan, Satanic, majical, Masonic, etc exist. There are ancient mysteries and myths and symbols, from countries such as Egypt or Babylon who used to dabble in this stuff. But HOW did this info get to our modern cults/secret societies, etc? It's no secret that the main vessel preserving these traditions have primarily been a faction of Jewish rabbis, who learned these secrets in Egypt and Babylon, and their knowledge then entering books such as the Qabbalah and Zohar. While the pagan nations were subsequently swept up into Christianity and then Islam, all these traditions were destroyed. But Judaism being comprised of insular societies that were tolerated by Christians and Muslims (because they were Abrahamic), survived all the world changes while the pagans didn't. The knowledge that some of the Rabbis carried, and some of which was incorporated into Jewish texts, were thus preserved over the centuries.

It is no secret that most modern secret societies and cults, such as the Bohemian Grove, Skull and Bones, Rosicrucians, etc, got their knowledge/rituals/symbolism from Jewish sources that preserved this knowledge. Some major examples are like when the Templars returned with new knowledge from the Crusades, or the many Europeans who learned majic and occultism from Rabbinical 'miracle workers', who used to perform in royal courts and practice Qabbalah, etc. What makes the occult Zionist is the Jewish concepts mixed in with the occult. Primarily the dream to reinhabit the Holy Land, rebuild the Temple, and prepare for the Messiah.

So what we see is that while most secret societies work as fraternities and 'I-help-you-you-help-me' clubs at lower levels (plus their intriguing/compromising rituals that can be used for degradation and blackmail), the top levels have a common theme of promoting world dominance, a NWO, magic and mind control, and building the HQ of this One World Government in Jerusalem. The repopulation of Israel and rebuilding the Temple are big goals of these secret societies, from an occultic/spiritual sense, just as it is a major goal of overt Zionist organisations and individuals, in a geopolitical and/or religious sense.

So where's the proof for my claims? Well, just look at the players' names, actions, stated motivations, etc. It's all pretty obvious. Look up John Dee and the other Kabbalists who revived the occult in Europe. Rothschild was the son of a Rabbi, started the banking dynasty, and now his family and agents dominate world banking, and through that control governments via debt, industry, media etc. All these powerful behind-the-scenes players are avid Zionists. Rothschild payed Weishaupt (Kabbalist rabbi) to start the Illuminati, which pretty much worked to undermine world governments/institutions, and rebuild Israel where the world can be governed from once there are no more nations/religions to get in the way. Rothschilds stated that they hoped the Messiah would be a Rothschild, and they were the main people who funded the building and populating of Israel (filling it with their occult symbols). They and other Zionists manipulated two world wars to first make it available (destroy Ottamans, Balfour) and then populate it (Holocaust atrocities, allowed Jews to die rather than escape to places other than Israel). Also for example, the roots of Communism are heavily Zionist, just look at the writings of Moses Hess (Marx's 'Communist Rabbi'), who wrote the first drafts of the Manifesto, as well as works on the need to bring Jews to Palestine, while promoting communism to non Jews. Marx himself was the son of Rabbis who built on Hess' work and used Talmudic concepts to come up with Communism. Then you find that the Communist movement was dominated by Judaics throughout history, and funded/supported by Zionist capitalists. (look into the relations of Schiff, Lenin, Trotsky (Bronstein), etc). I could go on, but if AJ pulls his head out of his self-made 'NWO death cult' hole, and just NAMES the key players, and the REASONS they do things, in a great proportion of times it goes back to Zionism, both in the mainstream and in little known history, both overtly and covertly.

Sheesh people, just LOOK! The Mossad connection to 911 is one of the main keys in explaining those events, and yet they are underplayed. Jewish/Zionist ownership of Hollywood, the press, and main news outlets STARES US IN THE FACE! Yet we ignore it and its effects. Just LOOK! It's all there, names, organizations, motivations, etc. And off coarse stating facts IS NOT BIGOTRY OR RACISM. The anti-Semitism slur is the only defence they have because they can't argue the facts. But reasons to expose Zionism should be patriotic, not racist. Again, only a small faction of Jews are Zionist, and many Jews are themselves victims of Zionist policies, and MANY non-Jews are also Zionist and should be exposed for that. Christian Zionists are being misled and sold the idea that supporting Israel right-or-wrong would somehow bless them and return the messiah.

Wow, this has gone on like an essay. Lemme wrap up now before I get any book ideas. The reason we go after Zionists is because that's what the names, organizations, actions, motivations, etc lead to. Of course there are many non Zionists and even anti Zionists working for power, money, dominance, or even are helping set up globalization, etc, for their own interests, but that doesn't change the greatest proportion of the most influential being Zionists, working for Zionist goals, whether it harms the US or benefits the US (and to a lower degree, other countries). For interesting scholarly work, it's good to expose secret cults and their rituals, but that doesn't change the fact that the members of these cults promote Zionism in public, as well as other things such as moral degradation, wealth accumulation, etc.

Cheers all. I think that's all I'm putting into this debate. So again, I don't expect everyone to always agree, but I invite you to also look into this. Keep up the good struggle everyone,
All the best,
-MZ

And now the HUMOUR:

Hehehe. I loved this Ry:

My response:

Steadfast Trees

O suppliers of anointing oil!
That sprouted forth from Holy soil.
Giving life between white and dead seas,
You have been steadfast over the centuries.

O most ancient yet verdant trees!
Occupying the worlds antiquities.
Youve watched civilizations come and go
Some with relief, others great sorrow.

O bearers of the lands blessed fruit!
Beware the conspiracy thats to uproot
You from your ancestral home,
From under the shade of the golden dome.

O evergreen olives of Palestine!
With its history your branches intertwine.
To your right to the fulfilling soil you must hold firm,
Or a day shall beset us where we shall mourn
Your replacement with the awful thorn.

Thanks No One for this article. I highly recommend this article. Even if you don't agree with Hamas on politics or religion, it doesn't change the fact that it was chosen by a majority of Palestinians to represent them. The reason for this was because of the corruption of Fateh, and all the concessions Fateh was giving without anything in return. Hamas was seen as the party that would demand Palestinian rights Fateh was compromising on, and it's unfortunate to see the world boycott and demonise Hamas further, and sadder to see elements within Fateh try to sabotage their efforts (aided by Western and Israeli interests) rather than step aside and give them a chance.

Peace all,
-MZ

Translated from Hebrew by Mark Marshall (quotes and references added).

The Hamas government must be recognized, not only because recognition of Hamas would be good for Israel, as the former Mossad head Ephraim Halevy recently argued,(1) but because this is the right move by any criterion of justice and international law.

The U.S. and Europe decided, despite Israels opposition, to permit the Palestinian people to hold democratic elections. According to Jimmy Carters report in the Herald Tribune, the elections were honest, fair, strongly contested, without violence and with the results accepted by winners and losers. Among the 62 elections that have been monitored by... the Carter Center, these are among the best in portraying the will of the people.(2)

In a just and well-ordered world, it would be unthinkable for a government that was elected in this way to be disqualified because Israel does not like the choice of the electorate in question. But in a world in which the U.S. rules, might is right, and might can define democracy as it chooses. Thus it was announced that the outcome of the Palestinian elections would not be recognized until the three mantras were fulfilled: Hamas must renounce terror, honour previous accords, and recognize the State of Israel. Meanwhile the Palestinian people would be punished and starved through an economic boycott, in the hope that this will lead to the collapse of the elected government.

In January 2005, Hamas announced its resolution to replace armed struggle with political struggle and agreed to a unilateral ceasefire (calm). In the 17 months since then, Hamas has not perpetrated a single terrorist attack. According to security sources, since the election, Hamas has not even participated in the launching of Qassam rockets from Gaza, most of which are carried out by Fatah.(3) What exactly is the substance of the demand that Hamas renounce terror?

Regarding previous accords, Hamas PM Haniyeh explained that according to the Oslo Accords of 1993, after an interim period of five years, a Palestinian state was to have come into existence. But Israel violated every clause of the Accords and continued to colonize and to dispossess Palestinians of their lands. From now on, he says, his government will only honour accords that are good for the Palestinian people.

Since the Oslo Accords, we Israelis have become accustomed to the idea that negotiations with the Palestinian Authority always revolve around the sole question of what is good for Israel - the extent to which the Palestinians are prepared to recognize its existence as a Jewish state and to take care of its security. Suddenly Israel is confronted with an elected Palestinian government which is not willing to play that game any more. Haniyeh is telling the government of Israel: From now on, you will represent the position of Israel in the negotiations, and we will represent the position of the Palestinians. At the Algiers meeting of the Palestine National Council in 1988, the Palestinian people undertook to recognize the partition of the country and to be satisfied with a state within the 1967 borders. Israel has not done a thing since then to prove that it is prepared to accept such a compromise. The Palestinians will recognize the right of Israel to exist only when Israel proves that it is prepared to recognize the right of the Palestinian people to exist.

But that is precisely what the governments of Israel and the army have never accepted. No Palestinian leadership has yet been found to be a suitable partner for peace, but a leadership that announces that it represents only the Palestinian people is in their eyes a real enemy that must be destroyed.

Olmert may have succeeded in garnering a majority in the U.S. Congress for a boycott of the Hamas government, but in Israeli society itself he does not have a majority. According to a poll by the Truman Institute in March of this year, 62% of Israelis are in favour of negotiations with Hamas.(4) But for quite some time now, the majority in Israel has had no say. At the moment, what remains to be hoped for is that Europe will come to its senses and also influence the U.S. to accept the democratic choice of the Palestinian people.

This has nothing to do with anti-Semitism, just look at their actions and ask why nothing is being done? Israel's actions bring condemnation, not their ethnicity.

The Catch and Release of Jazeera Journalist Abu Hilalah (Live on TV!)

-   And the arrest of Abu Qudama mid-interview. Thought police in Jordan. Rania would be proud.

 By Majid Zakaria

Friday June 9th, 2006

Yesterday (on June 8th, 2006) I was running back and forth between my television set and the PC, posting updates on what I was seeing live on the Arabic news channel al Jazeera. I was watching an interview with Abu Musab az Zarqawi's brother in law in Jordan (on the event of Zarqawi's assassination) when security officials interrupted the interview. Here are my myspace bulletin posts, saved here for posterity:

So I walk in back from the Laiki (open air weekly grocery shopping in Athens) just now... (posted at Jun 8, 2006 3:34 AM myspace time)

... and all the TV channels have Zarqawi in slo-mo, American, Greek, Arab, because this time it's official, no really, honest: Zarqawi is dead. Bush gonna give a statement in 1.5 hours ('Ladies and Gentlemen, we got 'em') and everyone rejoices at the landmark reached in the War on Terror.

Jordan (the country, not the basketball player) is denying involvement in Zarqawi's assassination, which apparently was facilitated by the time tested US favourite method of butchery, missiles targeting people.

It's convenient that just a couple months ago 'Zarqawi' made a tape to dispel rumours of him being killed numerous times, caught and released accidentally, garrisoned in Fallujah but never there, and employing hundreds of gunmen in police uniforms. And he apparently had his leg intact, which explains how he's been jumping outta windows, dodging American bullets for the last few years. So after everyone saw him alive and kicking, the public had a living, breathing arch-villain ready to die so Bush can claim Mission Accomplished all over again.

So, I wonder who's next on the list for demonisation? I heard Santa had a big beard and crosses borders illegally, carrying suspect packages. He's sure to give the kids nightmares, as he plots from his secret cave in the North Pole.

Ah well, we'll see what transpires from this. Peace all,

Breaking NEWS!!! Jazeera journalist and interviewee arrested (posted at Jun 8, 2006 4:30 AM myspace time)

Moments ago I witnessed some live drama on Al-Jazeera News channel. After bringing official statements from US military officials, Blair press conference, and Jordan, they put on a live interview with Zarqawi's brother in law in Jordan.

The interview was going on for a good 10 minutes, and the brother in law was praising Zarqawi, saying that he was a man of unwavering prinicples, who was fighting with a Jihad basis against what he said was 'Crusader' invaders and oppression. The brother in law was also speaking about his experiences with Zarqawi, how he visited him in Pakistan, and things Zarqawi did and said in his life time. But importantly he was saying that many things were attributed to Zarqawi to demonise him, and that most of what the Americans said about him were lies.

Then suddenly I watched live as the journalist had people interrupt his interview, and the anchor started asking what's going on? The journalist was able to say that, apparently security officials (Jordanian) are demanding to stop broadcast, they arrested the interviewee, and then he was cut off. Minutes later, the anchor said that the journalist conducting the interview was also arrested.

Thats when I rushed in to post this.

Peace all,

Breaking NEWS!! Jazeera Journalists last words before arrest (posted at Jun 8, 2006 5:03 AM myspace time)

After showing Bush spew his stuff about Zarqawi, Al Jazeera played the last few minutes of the interview with Zarqawi's brother in law, Abu Qudama.

The journalist, Yasser Abu Hilalah's last words were:
'It seems they are arresting the interviewee..' The screen was blacked out as a mukhabarat (intelligence) officer in plain clothes put his hand over the lens. Then the sound quality dropped, and muffled sounds were heard as Yasser said nonchalatantly, 'it seems that they are arresting me as well'. I found the way he said it, given the situation, very funny, not that what happened to him was funny.

The anchor then confirmed that Abu Hilalah and the interviewee were arrested, and that all the camera/sound/broadcasting equipment on the site were confiscated.

I rarely ever watch television news this exciting.

Peace,
-MZ

ps just a note, Al Jazeera has already had it's offices in Afghanistan bombed, it's office in Iraq shot up (and journalists killed), has a cameraman in Guantanamo bay as a suspected terrorist, and has Taysir Allouni (a journalist) fighting Spanish courts after being accused of financially aiding al-Qaeda. Add Abu Hilalah to that list.

Al Jazeera journalist released (posted at Jun 8, 2006 6:56 AM)

If you read my two previous posts, I wrote about what I was seeing live on al-Jazeera, surprising developments.

Anyways, apparently the journalist, Abu Hilalah, has now been released. The mukhabarat (intelligence) officers that arrested him just drove away from the interview site, and dropped him off on a road somewhere. He talked to Al Jazeera via phone, and said that they told him that Jordan only fights terror, something like that.

The interviewee is still incarcerated, dunno what's gonna happen to him, and it seems the crew's equipment is still confiscated, probably returned later.

Anyways, Peace all,
-MZ

I looked up al Jazeera's English website to confirm everything. They had
an article about the views of Zarqawis family members in the Jordanian city of Zarqa (his nickname is due to his hometown) about his death. In the article, the catch and release is mentioned. Abu Qudama, apparently, has also been released. Here's the relevant extract:

"The Jordanian security forces briefly detained Yasser Abu Hilala, Aljazeera's bureau chief in Jordan, and his crew and confiscated their equipment while they were interviewing Abu Qudama.

Abu Hilala told Aljazeera later that security forces confiscated the equipment after the crew refused to stop filming.

He added that the Jordanian police cut the interview and drove them away from the filming site for about 10 minutes before they were told they were free to go.

Abu Hilala said that even Abu Qudama, who was also detained, was later released."

It's a shame the site didn't have a transcript of the interview. The only conclusion I can think of is that the interview was ruined because live, to millions of viewers, an alternative opinion about Zarqawi was being put out in his defence. Abu Qudama was claiming that Zarqawi was not the evil maniac the US makes him out to be, but just a resistance fighter, motivated by Islamic concepts of Jihad (struggle for God's sake), who's been demonised and had acts attributed to him to scare Iraqis from cooperating with insurgents, painting them as foreigners out to sow civil war and murder innocents.

The fact is most resistance to occupation in Iraq is from Iraqis, but the US promoting the foreign Zarqawi as the 'face of the insurgency', were implying that it was foreign troubles to blame for civil war and chaos, not false flag terror.

Ah well. 'Twas an interesting day. And then I hear that a group of mothers in a hospital in Iraq named their newborn sons 'Abu Musab' on the same day. Just to spite the Americans, since they built Zarqawi up as the 'face' of the resistance.

Peace all,

Three Bulls

Under the summer sun's blaze,
Through winter's misty cold haze,
Three bulls trek tracts and rich green fields
Tongues rip out whatever the ground yields,
Enduring their till-death graze.

On the grass they feed and laze
And on them lays the fervid gaze
Of a large and eager feline.
On the bulls the lion plans to dine,
If it weren't for their formidable ways.

The trio of white, black and red
Fight and fend as a single head.
To attack them together
Would definitely render
A beaten wild cat, if not dead.

So the cunning cat approaches Red and Black.
Says: "White, your friend, he does lack
Honour and honesty
Or devotion, so trust me,
When the chance occurs, give him the sack."

Soon the slaying starts with slashing.
A loud thud and the cat begins feeding.
It sinks its fangs into and tears out entrails,
Licks blood and digs deeper as White's dying wails
Fall on deaf ears, though eyes, dumbstruck, keep watching.

Time withers and a famished cat returns,
For fresh flesh and blood a craving burns.
The two bovine beasts under its sight
Still possess the might to fight
A lion that, for their lucrative demise, yearns.

So to Black a craving cat appears
To heighten the beast's baseless fears.
Conveys: "By eating your brother
I've grown more able and stronger
So flee, your end surely nears."

Later a confrontation takes place,
And Red is cornered while Black makes haste
Leaving nothing but settling dust.
As the predator starts settling its lust
Black escapes, disgrace taints his face.

Time wastes and a lone bull meets an old foe.
His face turns darker than his name as he sinks low.
"Surely, your end nears, it's today!"
"You are mistaken in what you say
For I've been dead since White ceased to grow."

Hey all,

Read the excellent article here:
http://www.informationclearinghouse.info/article13492.htm

It has views from Pilger, Glass, Fisk, and Hersch.

Here are some passages from the article, for those not up for reading the whole thing:

'âWe get the illusion that we are seeing what might be happening in Iraq. But what weâre getting is a massive censorship by omission; so much is being left out,â he said. âWe have a situation in Iraq where well over 100,000 civilians have been killed and we have virtually no pictures. The control of that by the Pentagon has been quite brilliant. And as a result we have no idea of the extent of civilians suffering in that country.â'
---

'Glass spoke about the censorship he had encountered as an American TV reporter covering the Middle East, referring to a story he filed during the Israeli invasion of Lebanon in 1982. There had been rumors of Israeli Shin Bath death squads murdering Lebanese civilians in the South and Glass and his crew had managed to film the evidence behind these killings. âWe nailed this story. We folded one of the death squads. We got to the palace where they had assassinated a man half an hour after he had been killed. We filmed it. We filmed the eyewitness. We filmed UN soldiers, who had seen the same things, discussing it,â recalled Glass.
âABC news didnât broadcast it. But they wonât tell you theyâre not going to broadcast it because theyâre afraid of losing advertising. They wonât tell you they wonât broadcast it because theyâre afraid of the public reaction. They tell you they just didnât have room that night or the next night or the next night. And thatâs just the way it is. That is why very few people in this country have any idea whatâs going on in the Middle East.â'
---

'âAn interior minister official said, officials said, the American military said, the Iraqi government said, some American officials here observed, and some military officials have said, two American intelligence officials said, one Pakistani official said, and Iâve only got to column two,â Fisk exclaimed. âIâve always believed that your major newspaper should be called âAmerican Officials Say.â Then you can just scrap all the reporting and have the Pentagon talking directly.â'
---

'Fisk expressed outrage at the semantics of language that occurs within much of the reporting in the Middle East. âIn the American press the occupied Palestinian territories become the disputed territories, a colony becomes a settlement or a neighborhood or an outpost. Here semantically, we are constantly degrading the reasons for Palestinian anger. Over and over again the wall becomes a fence. Like the Berlin fenceâ had it been built by the Israelis, thatâs what it would have been called. Then for anyone who doesnât know the real semantics of this conflict, the Palestinians are generically violent. I mean who would ever protest over a garden fence or a neighborhood? The purpose of this kind of journalism is to diminish the real reasons behind the Middle East conflict.â'
---

'
He closed with a sober warning to viewers and readers closely following the Iraq war coverage. âWe have a real disaster on our hands because the American project in Iraq is dead and donât believe anything anyone else tells you in any newspaper. It is a catastrophe and every reporter working in Iraq knows it, but they donât all tell you that,â Fisk said, pausing. âAnd that is our shame.â'
---

'âThe other day, on the third anniversary of the invasion, a BBC newsreader described the invasion as a âmiscalculation.â Not illegal. Not unprovoked. Not based on lies. But a miscalculation. Thus, the unthinkable is normalized. By concentrating on military pronouncements. By making it seem like it is a respectable war, you normalize what is the unthinkable. And the unthinkable is a war against civilians. Itâs a war that has claimed tens of thousands of people. There are estimates that put it well over 100,000. When journalists report it as a respectable geopolitical act and promote the idea that it was to bring democracy to this country, then theyâre normalizing the unthinkable.â'
---

'Pilger added, âWe now know that the BBC and other British media were used by MI-6, the secret intelligence service. In what they called Operation Mass Appeal, MI-6 agents planted stories about Saddamâs weapons of mass destruction, such as weapons hidden in his palaces and in secret underground bunkers. All of these stories were fake. But thatâs not the point. The point is that the role of MI-6 was quite unnecessary because a systematic media self-censorship produced the same result.â'
---

'To Pilger the most significant way journalists are used by government is in what he calls a âsoftening up processâ before planned military action. âWe soften them up by dehumanizing them. Currently journalists are softening up Iran, Syria, and Venezuela,â Pilger said.'
---

'âRumsfeld was allowed to call Chavez âHitlerâ unchallenged. According to the reporter, Venezuela under Chavez was helping Iran develop nuclear weapons. No evidence was given for this bullshit.â He cited a recent report by the media watchdog FAIR, which found that 95 percent of the 100 media commentaries surveyed expressed hostility to Chavez, with terms such as âdictator,â âstrongman,â and âdemagogueâ regularly used in publications such as the Los Angeles Times and the Wall Street Journal. âThe softening-up of Venezuela is well advanced in the United States. So that if or when the Bush administration launches Operation Bilbao, a contingent plan to overthrow the democratic government of Venezuela, who will care? We will have only the media version, another lousy demagogue got what was coming to him. A triumph of censorship by omission and by journalism,â he concluded. '
---

'âJournalists, like politicians, like anybody really, should be called to account for the consequences of their actions. Journalists have played a critical role in sustaining wars. Starting them and sustaining them. And we have to face that discussion. Thereâs nothing wrong with journalism, itâs a wonderful privilege, itâs a craft actually, and Iâm very proud to be a journalist. But itâs the way itâs practiced. Itâs as if it has been hijacked by corporatism and we should take it back.â'
