This might be one of the most techno based mixes I've put up onto the Pure.fm house stream. There seemed to be a lot of great tracks coming out in may across all genres. It was going to be a three segment show with house/techno/trance but turned into this once I got into playing these tracks. I might put up a dance floor house mix to the Get Down Podcast in a week or so but until then its raw techno :) !!

If you are in America and you we rent able to pull yourself away from the turkey on Thanksgiving this here is the archive of the first episode of my show Amidst Rhythm on the Pure.fm house channel.    The first half stays toward the house vibe with some big floor vocal tracks sure to please.  I like the first few tracks because of the loud kick that transistion into a more lounge, pool party sound with 'El Matador' under Mr V's spoken track.  I like a bit of bongo but not to whole night. Tiger Stripes bring Caldwell into the techy genre with the smooth vocals in the Warrior remix.  The breakdown of Self Religion is a little too dancey and I would probally edit the track before playing it again : ).  

 The second half features  the Magic Island mix of 'Violin Theme';  A big sounding track that brings emotion filled strings. Eric Smax & Thomas Gold are known for big room house like Want2b, this was a pretty chill track and a good transistion into a bit more techno.  Two back to back tracks; Kaufmann und Ferdinand, and the Monochrome 'Pearl' track are a couple of my favorites in the 2 hour mix. 'The Oddyssey' closes out the mix with something a little bizzare.  Dance Monkey !

I'm excited to announce the start of my show "Amidst Rhythm" on PURE.fm ( http://www.pure.fm )  The first two hour show kicks off November 27th at 5pm Pacific standard time.  It will be on the house channel and feature a variety of EDM genres with some throwback to my favorites not just the latest releases.  Once it's finalized I'll post up the track list here and in the PURE forums.  The show should be a lot of fun but at the very least give the site a test.
