LATEST MOIST NEWS........... moistguitars.com Miss Lisa and Pam will be heading in to the studio on the 23rd to finish the vocals on "What About Our Love". All the music is done and mixing should go quick so the new cd single along with "Dance 'Till Your Pants Fall Down" will be available soon! We've been scratching our heads trying to figure out how we put out two CDs and never put out our most popular song until now. Those of you who have seen us live are probably familiar with "What About Our Love" but for those of you who are not Pam and Miss Lisa sing a very "purdy" duet that should turn out good on tape. It will be a real departure from our last CD. BTW: We are looking for a big idea for our next publicity stunt. Any suggestions would be welcomed.

After much discussion we have decided to go back in the studio and record new vocal and guitar tracks for "Dance 'Till Your Pants Fall Down" that will include Miss Lisa. This will set back the release of the new single about a month but we feel it will be worth it! moistguitars.com

Oh well, It was fun while it lasted.Your MySpace account has been deleted for violating our Terms of Service.
This is usually due to one of the following:
* Nude images, sexually suggestive or violent photos * Covering our banner ads with HTML * Harassing other users * You do not meet the minimum age requirement * Spamming the classifieds, forums, bulletins, or other sections of the site * Attempting to artificially inflate scores * Scripting the site
Your account cannot be restored. If you choose to return to MySpace, please follow the rules.
I'm not sure which category it fit in to.
It lasted about two weeks and got about 3000 visits before myspace shut it down I wish we were able to save some of the messages and comments we got on the page , some of them were mighty entertaining. It's amazing how many people thought it was real. Women offering a shoulder to cry on and gay men trying to pick him up were just some of the responses we got on the site. It's hard to tell if it translated in to any record sales or hits on our regular band page.
Well, back to the regular MOIST news. We would like to thank everybody that came out to our last few shows. It seems they just keep getting bigger and bigger. We just had Marie Kanger-Born from chicagopunkpix take a bunch of shots at our last show and as soon as we pick out which ones to use we will be putting them up.
Our next live show is at THE RED LINE TAP on Friday Jan. 18th 7006 N. Glenwood in Chicago. Around the corner from the Heartland cafe.
Hope to see some of you there. Be sure to mention the secret phrase at the show(moist beer farts)and receive a free CD!

We have a garbage myspace page that just gets used for testing messages and various stuff but other than that it just sits there unused. Yesturday I was watching the news about the Drew Peterson defense website and thought it would be interesting if I put up a Myspace page mocking it and advertising the band (Yah I know it's a tastless and obnoxious thing to do but what the hell, it's a dog eat dog world out there)
I named it the "Drew Peterson defence fund" and put a picture of Drew on it with the caption "I didn't do it". Other than that there is no other referance to the real site or Drew himself. The rest of the page is Moist Guitars stuff.
So last night I went on to the myspace forum and left a couple of comments and low and behold the page got about 700 hits in one night!
The question is do I leave it up and see what happens or do I switch it back. I dont think I am violating any myspace rules with the site but the way it is spreading I'm sure it's gonna piss some people off.

Reggies music joint, at 2105 S. State St., in Chicago, just opened a couple of weeks ago and shows promise of being a really great place to see bands. With the projects right across the street and luxury condos down the block, you couldn't find a better place for a rock club! When you first walk in the door, you feel as though you have stepped in to a 1960"s head shop complete with black lights and barrels of incense. As you continue on to your right, it opens up to a large area with a raised stage and a small balcony which is the under 21 area. Up a steel staircase on the second floor is "Record Breakers" record store, selling new and used CDs, DVDs and LPs. Back on the fist floor through a large door on the north side of the building is the bar and grill, which also serves as the over 21 music area with another stage! I haven't tried the food yet, but they have a great selection of beers on tap and a really good sound system. This is going to be a really cool place to see bands whether you're over or under 21. Oh, by the way, did I mention we're playing there Oct 12?

Now that the new CD is in, the real fun starts. We have spent the last few weeks online getting contact names for college radio stations all across the US and Canada, and after playing a midnight show Friday we spent all day Saturday stuffing CDs into bubble-pack envelopes. There's nothing worse than sticking stamps and labels on envelopes all day when your hungover and tired, but it has to be done if we want to keep the momentum going! The next step is for each of us to take a week off work and call all the music directors to make sure the recieved the kits and convince them to give it some air play. This is the hardest part for most musicians. It seems the personality trait that makes a musician a musician also makes him (or her) a really crappy salesman. If we had the money we would definitely hire someone to do this for us, but being musicians also keeps us from have well paying jobs. So, if we can do it and get airplay on these college stations, the next step is going to be up to you, our fans, by calling in and commenting and requesting the Moist Guitars so we can hopefully work in to the regular rotation. So: let's git 'er done! The next few months should prove to be pretty interesting... The Moistys moistguitars.comOptical Poptitude @ cdbaby

After years of living the fast rock and roll life style, the abuse is really starting to take it's toll. The list of injuries and ailments are starting to add up to the point where it wont be long before we're performing in wheelchairs. Let's start out with Pam. To call him accident prone would be an understatement. He's been trampled by a horse, smashed by a forklift, fell off a second story roof after being attacked by a bird, broken his collarbone in a skiing accident and was hung upside down by his scrotum after falling off a jungle gym. Needless to say, he is in constant pain and pops pain killers like they were candy. Mondo is borderline diabetic and is loosing all the feeling in his feet. Thumper has bad knees, tendinitis in his right arm and a nerve problem in his left arm. Sprinkles has "stomach" problems and is constantly having to make emergency bathroom runs. So the next time you see us play and you notice after a spirited set that Pam is holding himself up by his micstand, Sprinkles is running to the bathroom, Mondo immediately sits down and Thumper drops his beer you know why.
See ya next show! The Moistys
