Hi!

The songs will be updated shortly, but I’ve created a new Myspace profile that I’ll use for my jazz project.

Please friend my new profile & feel free to share it with your pals!

Thank you!

Well, I'm getting started late, but I joined www.fawm.org today, and the challenge is to write 14 songs in February. For each song, a challenge is offered. The first challenge was to write a song with a color in the title. My first FAWM song is called Purple Paisley, and you can listen to it here.

It's a little goofy - but hey, why not be goofy? It's just good to crank out new songs for the heck of it.

Enjoy - and let me know what you think of the track!

PURPLE PAISLEY
2/11/07 Kellie Lin Knott

she came in purple paisley pants
and grabbed the bar stool next to mine
I tried in vain to turn my eyes
Away from purple paisley thighs
but she was everywhere at once

she asked me if I had a light
i brought up the smoking ban
she pulled some matches from her blouse
ignored the rules of the house
and lit the fattie in her hand

I know things about people (she said)
I know just what you think
I see auras and life stories
Let me buy you a drink

then she begged to read my palm
and I had nowhere else to be
my boyfriend wasn't going to show
Purple Paisley wouldn't go
so I gave in to destiny

I know things about people she said
maybe more than you'd guess
you've got drama and oh mama
post traumatic stress

so here's a secret that i'll share
and it's one I hope you'll tell
if there is fear it will stampede
but you'll be safe if you believe
that all is well

all is well and good
all is as it should be
