This year (2009) I was on the GRAMMY ballot in 2 categories:

Best Rock Song
and
Best Rock Vocal Performance.

Last year (2008) I was awarded by the LOS ANGELES MUSIC AWARDS:

Orchestral Composer of the Year

and was also 1 of 5 nominees for

Male Singer-Songwriter of the Year.

Next year (2010), I am told that my new album is the first nominee for:

Rock Album of the Year
and
Rock Single of the Year

at the 20th Annual LOS ANGELES MUSIC AWARDS.

...as Beethoven's Fifth Symphony and Led Zeppelin's Stairway To Heaven among other hit songs with the greatest longevity.

I kid you not.

June 6, 2009 - Saturday

If you're having trouble ordering albums from my myspace page -- just go to HTTP://WWW.JONMAGNIFICENT.COM and click the BUY ALBUMS link there.

It looks like myspace has purposely messed up the code for ordering - most likely to try to get people to buy ONLY the music they (myspace) offer.  Myspace hasn't been making money from the music they have been offering, so this just may be the latest strategy.

Myspace does things like this once in a while.
It's an immature thing to do, but eventually they will grow up.
We hope.

All the best,

Jon

Resources to combat swine flu hysteria

#1. Math.

The greater Mexico City Metropolitan area has a population of 22 million people according to Wikipedia.

Many millions of them live in crushing poverty, poor health and with poor sanitary conditions.

1,000 "cases" (which is higher than the so-far reported number) equals 0.005% of the population. 60 deaths equals 0.0003% of the population.

#2 Deaths?

Of the few deaths, no one has mentioned who these casualties are. Are they elderly or infirm people who could just as easily be killed by the common cold or a slip and fall? It makes a difference.

#3 The long history of government/pharmaceutical industry scams

These guys have tried to institute national flu vaccination programs before. The last time was 1976 (under Gerald Ford). The public recognized the foolishness and danger involved in accepting the government vaccine and rejected it. The much-threatened "pandemic" never happened.

If you missed yesterday's video on how the US government has been positioning itself to FORCE its population to accept a flu vaccination, I strongly recommend you watch this:

Lyric booklet or no lyric booklet with the new cd?

Should I just keep it a mystery?
Fans make up their own words and meanings that way.

Additionally...

You might have noticed on my page that there are a LOT of new Street Team pages popping up for different US States.

If YOU...yes, you...would like to run one of these let Teresa know. Don't be shy. We all have a lot of fun. All states will be included.

Teresa is on my top friends.

All the best,

Jon

Bassist and Keyboardist sought to fill out performing band.

Gigs are infrequent - performing in other bands is fine.

Music is Pop / Rock ala Pink Floyd, Led Zep, Queen and other 70s influences.

I am specifically looking for responsible, intelligent artists with no drugs or alcohol issues who communicate well and know how to put on a great show.

I want artists who can turn the show off when not on stage and crank their show to 11 when onstage. You know, a professional.

I'd like some great people who will be with this ride on the long term. It's been exciting so far.

There is no pay yet. But if you're really good at what you do, you should at least check out the music to see if it would be fun.

I am an award-winning singer-songwriter and composer as well as a professional engineer, producer and performer.

I play over 20 instruments and I have an aggressive street team and a large, growing, loyal fan base.

I look forward to meeting you.
