Side-Project Song Release!
liliroquelin3_200
It is called "N'attends Pas" and is all in French...
This is a side-project song and in a very elektro style, very different than my stuff, when I heard Taylor's sounds I said rightaway "let's do this"! It was a lot of fun.
The lyrics are on my website here and translated in English for those that don't speak French.... Shame on you! LOL
Press-Release:
"N'attends pas" is an upbeat, cheerful and catchy track with the pure-crystal voice and genuine French words of LiLi Roquelin and rich pop sounds and beats electronically polished by Taylor Christoffel's hands.

It is indeed the fruit of the collaboration between French-American singer-songwriter LiLi Roquelin and multimedia-producer Taylor Christoffel... The two artists met through their common hair stylist! Taylor was looking for a French singer to collaborate with, he talked about it to his hair stylist one day and she gave him LiLi's business card. Then they met and worked on this song!
Talk soon!
BUY NOW ON iTunes or CDBaby

A bientot!

Hello!

Still breathing here! I hope you had a nice summer! Happy Fall!
My trip (and show) to France helped me reset and I cam back fully resourced.
I'm doing my photo shoot for the album this week-end, I'm about to pick a music video director, once one of them show me the final concept for the song...
And I just decided to take care of my new website (ouch!) since web designer rates are ridiculous and I would rather invest in promotion.

Also my music has been added the past months to several music supervisors agencies... It is nice to hear these people telling me they love "Blues Alone", and all the other tracks on my current EP!
I want to have one of my songs on Ghost Whisperer! (Yea, sorry, that IS my favorite show)... I love Jennifer Love Hewitt and her hair! LOL

Voila,

If you moved to Facebook or Twitter, follow me on there. I still prefer Myspace, sorry. Tom rocks! haha

HUGS

My song "Blues Alone" was pre-selected for the Billboard Song Contest.
Here's what they said: "This song has a good consistent melodic theme
throughout. Has soundtrack appeal."

"Queens of Queens at LIC Bar"

Long Island City's popular LIC Bar has developed a reputation among locals for providing an intimate forum for the borough's up-and-coming artists, writers and performers. Mondays at the LIC Bar have been known for having a regularly occurring slate of musicians, singers and songwriters – and with the assistance of both GoGirlsMusic.com and Astoria Music and Arts, the LIC Bar has been particularly friendly to a strong, talented and very beautiful roster of locally-based independent woman musicians. The recent Queens of Queens show on December 1st, brought out a collection of talented regulars and a new set of talented women playing the LIC Bar for the first – and hopefully not last time.
With the show scheduled to end around midnight and a list of about ten different artists performing, each woman's set was a brisk twenty minutes or so which was just enough to hear a quick sampling of each woman's music. (...). Lili Roquelin's set with cellist Madeleine Craw was by far the most beautiful moment of the night and although both women have only played with each other twice, they seem to have an instinctive sense of each other. Craw's deep and rich tones on the electric cello added an underlying texture to Roquelin's lovely soprano. (...)
If there was one small thing to criticize, it was the fact that there could have been a little bit more variety among the artists. All but two of the artists came from a more folk, pop and traditional singer/songwriter mold and it would have been interesting to see a punk rocker, rapper, an R&B singer or something of that ilk. But regardless, if there's one larger positive thing to be said, the burgeoning future of the Astoria-LIC music scene is getting brighter by the moment, thanks in part to these talented artists.
