so I am trying to go to sleep and I guess my body doesn't realize that it needs to rest?  I can't really be off because of the two hour difference, can I?  Anyway, I think I am going to go somewhere and get my hair cut off tomorrow.  Emily will understand that I just can't grow these damn bangs out.  If I looked as cute as here with a pony holding mine out of my face then maybe I could.  But alas, there is no one as cute as here!  Besides, there is only going to be one ballerina in this family.  I think I am going to try and get into my friends salon out in Boothbay sometime (hopefully tomorrow).  I can't deal with it and the humidity so it's all coming off!  There, that being said.....we went and say Wall-E this afternoon up in Rockland.  It was a pretty good movie considering there was no dialog.  It kept Nate's attention, which amazed me...and did I say there was no dialog?  You would think that a three year old would just get up and walk out?  Nope, not mine...they both loved it!  I think Nannie and Poppie kind of liked having the grandkids to use as an excuse to got see this particular movie.  There are two more kids movies coming out this summer while we are up here that we aer going to try and go see to!

Let's see....spoke to the hubby....he is not having much fun with Maddy since I've been gone...he says she barely raises her head when he comes home from work...guess she missed her mommy? 

I guess that can be all for tonight (early morning).  Oh wait....I know...I took a quiz on a friends blog today and it was basically how would you rate as a wife in the 1930's...I am proud to say that I was a complete failure!  By those standards anyway!

Well, since I haven't posted anything since January, I thought I would get on for a bit.  The kids and I are currently in Maine for our yearly visit and will be here until August 12th.  It's nice getting out of Dugway for a while.  I need a change of scenery and I needed a Mommy fix.  It was really nice to be able to leave my kids with the folks on Friday and go out with some of my old friends from high school.  I don't get to take advantage of them like that.  They had a great time with their Nannie and Poppie too.  I also got to spend a whole night away from them and actually get to miss them.  That is always good.

We passed the year mark back in June so now we are on the down slope of our two years in Dugway.  But who's counting, right?  It has gone by pretty fast so I know the next one will too.  Especially because it's going to be pretty busy when we get back home.  Emily will be starting Kindergarten and then we will have the holidays.  I was really wanting to get a job for the time we have left there just to pass the time, but if it doesn't happen that will be okay too.

I had my second back surgery in May, so now I am ready to get back to my workouts too.  I can't believe how hard it is to get back into it.  No really, I'm serious!  You would think that one wouldn't fight it so hard and yet here I sit...LOL.  I am going to get back to it though.  I am also going to start up yoga again too.  I really liked that.  Now that I am not in as much pain, it should be a little more enjoyable too.

Okie dokie....So it is the 5th of January (well, almost the 6th if you want to get technical).  We got back from our trip to Phoenix on Wednesday evening putting an end to sucky Christmas 2007!  If the title of this blog gives you any indication of how our vacation went let me just fill you in on the whole sucky (again with that word) two weeks. 

We left here on the 21st of December and got down to Phx about three hours later than our trip at Thanksgiving which was okay because the kids are still good travelers and the weather was yucky in the beginning of the day so we new it was going to take a while.  So we are there and having a great ol time until the day after Christmas.  Dave's parents and us decide to go out to lunch and go see a movie afterwards.  David and I were leaving the next day to go to Vegas for a mini anniversary celebration but I will get back to that mess...anyway, we go to the movies and on the way home stop at walmart to get a few things...I ask him to call his mother and ask her something his father answers and dave can tell something is up.  He asks "what's wrong?" and his father says.."WE'VE BEEN ROBBED"!  Can you believe that?  The day afer Christmas...why not rob someone and get all their good shit.  Well they ended up taking his fathers big screen tv and some heirloom jewelry of his mothers but the assholes took David's laptop, camcorder and our other two cameras, his backpack with all his other shit in it including out family christmas  movies from the previous years then they took my backpack which had like 40 of the kids cartoon movies in it plus my dvd player and the blockbuster movies that I brought with me...all in all they got away with $5400 worth of stuff from just us...I guess his fathers was another $4000 or so.  The funny thing was we had a Wii out in plain view that luckily they didn't see and also my laptop and his fathers laptop. 

So that is day one of the suckiness.  So David is all upset because we have lost all of christmas on film (and rightly he should be) and we are on our way to fabulous Las Vegas for our lovie dovie sexy weekend together without kids for the first time ever.  Son of a bitch is sick now and I get my period 8 days early!  We get to the Las Vegas Hilton and find out the Barry Manilow (the reason we were staying at that yucky hotel) had canceled (don't laugh at the Manilow...I just wanted to be able to say i say him when....)...that puts a pisser on the first night.  It worked out though because we went and had a nice dinner together and then went to a grown up movie for a change.

Day two in Vegas...go to the Venetian to see Phantom of the Opera....I highly recommend this to any and everyone..it was the best show ever which we needed because before the show we went out to dinner there at the Venetian and had the worst service either of us had ever had...so bad that MY husband didn't even leave a tip..I would go into those details but this blog is already too long.  Let's just say I had to complain before we left or I would not have been able to sleep that night!

Next day, we are headed back to Phx and I am sick now.  I feel like the rest of the time there was just shadowed in the fact that the house had been robbed and it just was not fun anymore.  I was totally paranoid everytime we left the house

So now we are home sweet home in Dugway and yesterday got our house back in order and put all of Christmas away until next year.  Tomorrow project is to tackle the playroom yet again!  Hope you all had better holidays then us which I'm sure that you did!

I can't believe that we are actually ready for them this time.  The kids and I are going to be outta here when they show up so they don't have any monkeys under their feet getting in the way.  We have the van already packed with what we are taking (more or less...just last minute things in the morning).  David and I have not even had any fights yet...although he keeps try to pick one...He knows that I am pmsing and I have a very very short fuse right now!  Anyhow...tlf will be our home for the next six days and I will be without my furry babies for that long too...I don't know what I am going to do without my little puppy hemaroid..LOL

the quality is not the best because I used my phone to record it..and my husband had changed the light setting (like I know anything about my new phone, huh?)...so this was the best I could do...I think he cleaned it up for our webpage, but I can't bother him for it right now...he is getting his presentation ready for tomorrow and the he is officially done with school!! There are two photos in "my pictures" if you would like to look at them..for some reason I am brain farting on how to add them to my blog (and I know it's something really easy).

I took my baby girl to Sweet and Sassy (a salon that caters to the little ones) today.  What a little treat that was for her.  She had her very first pedicure complete with a toe ring.  It's so cool what they do there.  First she got sparkles on her face followed by glitter spray in the hair.  She picked out her polish and then got to soak her feet in the foot bath.  Emily looked so cute.  I have a little video that I am trying to figure out how to load so that is coming...

In other news...we attempted to go to the strawberry festival yesterday..we went a little late in the afternoon and we ended up being there for like 25 minutes or so before it started raining on us all.  So we all (we went with some friends) went out to dinner there in town.  What a cute littel town it is (Troy, OH).  Kind of reminded me of Lebanon, IL but larger.  After that we came back home got the kids bathed and headed on up the our friends place so Emily could have another sleepover with her bestest friend Emily (trust me, it gets confusing around her when they are playing).  The girls didn't end up getting to sleep until after 11.  We were still there watching a movie while Nate was sacked out on the couch..he just loves our late nights.  Lucky for us we just have a quick walk home and he goes straight back to sleep.  Anyway, good times..just kind of bummed we missed out on the strawberries!

I can't believe how much I have not been on here lately!?  You would think that I actually had things to do at night... that just isn't the case.  We have been working on our moving "list" the last couple of weeks..this past week for sure.  Next week is going to be busy for me.  It's so funny because that's how is has been going lately...one week I have nothing "socially" going on and then the next week I have something everyday...next week I will be going to everything because we are getting so close to leaving.  Three families left out off our cul de sac this week...we have one more going next week that I know of..they are dropping like flies around here.

David is pretty much done with school..he has a presentation to do on Tuesday and that will be it until graduation on the 14th. 

My daughter had a big event last week...she went to her very first sleep over at her friend Emily's house..well actually, she spent two nights there.  They were having such a good time she didnt' want to leave.  She was supposed to go over there tonight but I had to take her to the ER again because she was suffering all day with a hurt ear..turns out she has another ear infection so she is miserable right now.

Tomorrow is the AFIT family day  so the kids and david are going to do that in the afternoon while I go and get my hair done for the last time here in Ohio!  We are also going to try and hit the Strawberry festival on Sunday weather permiting.

Well, it has been quite a week here for me.  I had been suffering with a headache for about 10 days but woke up today with just a dull ache which ended up going away.  I've had a cat scan and a series of blood tests done..cat scan came back normal and I am waiting on the test results.  Anyway, finally feeling better...now for the good stuff:  HAPPY MOTHERS DAY to all the mothers I know out ther...can I just share with you all what I got from the most wonderful husband and kids in the whole wide world?  I'm gonna anyway.... first I got a picture book from picaboo ..you know, the kind that you upload the digital pictures and it's hard bound and all that...it's wonderful and I was bawling like a baby!  Then, if that wasn't enough, I got a new set of pots and pans (a really good one that I thought we were waiting until we moved to get) and a sewing machine (I am going to go crazy with that thing).  To top it all off, david got me a "smart phone" ...this baby does everything!  So needless to say I will be busy reading my instruction manuals tomorrow.  Oh, I also got breakfast in bed...just picture my baby boy walking in the room pad of paper in one hand and a pen in the other(he was supposed to say "what can I get for you")...that was Emily's job but she was not feeling it this morning since she wasn't getting the attention I guess.  So....yes I know I am spoiled...I told my sweets that I appreciate all the gifts, but they were not necessary...I have all my gifts!  Love the presents anyway!!

Then we went over to our friends for dinner and wonderful conversation...they have a daughter a year older than Emily and her name is Emily too...I also can get my baby fix since they have a six month old baby boy too!

This is enough for me right now...we have about a month left here in Ohio..it's coming to an end fast!
