Im in Paris now, and its 4 AM I decided it was time for another Barsh Report, so, ahem......
Things are good these days, all my travels have been fine Ive been back and forth to Europe like a Carnival cruise line. Though Im gettin kinda homesick, I dont miss the New York summers But its been 90 degrees Fahrenheit (38 C) here in Paris - kind of a bummer.
Since the last Report, I did clinics for a week at a school in Detroit, which was truly inspirational And the Avishai Cohen Trio got slightly more international Playing in Slovakia and Japan for the first time, and though it seems irrational We did one tour from Philly to Vancouver to Minneapolis to LA to Spain Then Scotland, then home, but the shows were worth the pain.
My big news is a couple things, first off Ive got a new band! Were doing a weekend at a new club in NYC, so come check it if you can The place is called the River Room, the infos on the site The music will be groovaliscious, and the players are mad tight. Well be playing some new music, as Ive been flowing with creative juices And the River Room has no cover, so you all have no excuses.
Secondly, Im moving to a new crib, so all my friends in NYC Will soon receive an invite to a housewarming party I might acually have a couple parties, cuz the place is not that big And I want all my friends to be there to check out the new digs.
Alright, enjoy your summers, or if youre south of the equator Have a mild and pleasant winter! Talk to yall later-
Barsh
