Current mood:  creative
In the past few weeks, I am finding that our approach to adult online marketing is something of "newness"  or at least when it comes to what I have found on the Web. I guess our approach to marketing adult businesses is the same approach we take for a mainstream business and we admit this and say it loud and proud! We also have been providing this service to adult businesses for 5+ years and just in the past year have come out from behind the computer screen (AVN, Cybernet Expo, InterNEXT) to show that we are real people who actually like to meet others in person as well as look pretty god damn sexy (if I do say so myself ;) )!

We don’t have a one size fits all package or have you purchase our services through an automatic e-commerce type site.

We want to speak to the potential client, find out their needs,
help them with their online marketing needs,
    find out their budget,
work out a plan which fits their budget and
    see results!

I am not quick to charge a credit card or grab a check (for the ones who have met me at Cybernet Expo can also tell you) that my concern is what is going to work for your adult business and let’s see if we are a match. Some people may feel I need to stream line the process and when we get inquiries to just throw out a price; and say pay us X amount of dollars but that is not how I work or how my company works.

Would stream lining be easier? I am sure it would but then what happens if the services we offer doesn’t help a client? Due to not speaking to the client to find out their ideas, at the end it could lead to losing the client which could have been avoided due to the communication I make my priority. (AND yes you do speak to me, sometimes Ralph if you really want to :) )

I guess you can say I am kinda of OCD about this and I have every right to be. I mean this IS your business and your online marketing and the way visitors will see you so I think I have a good reason to be a little overly cautious.

With that said, I really enjoy being associated with Radio Dentata. Why? Because they have the same approach as us. No matter mainstream or adult, your business needs to be marketed and the basics are the same whether you are providing organic SEO techniques like blogging, article marketing, sending out press releases, podcasting, vlogging or using social media; your online brand is what will make you stand out from the rest in the big, global online world.

Ranking for your targeted keywords will bring you organic traffic and a note here; keywords can be competitive so think about other keywords or combination of words which you want to be found for and attack those to start getting you ranked while still fighting for your main keywords.

Till next time, happy adult marketing!

While taking a break from Organic SEO and writing content for a few new e-learning courses today, I hopped on Twitter (AbFab micro-blogging tool!) to read Ron Hudson's posting about the 50 most powerful and influential women in social media.

I always love supporting the women in social media because they are Rockin' it and was going to comment on how wonderful everyone on the list is. Now this may be embarrassing but I was not expecting to see my name and there it was!

36 Lisa Weinberger! I am so excited and honored to be on the list!

Social Media is very important and whenever I meet online business owners in person, I continually "preach" to them that they MUST start getting involved in Social Media and they just laugh at me. They can continue to laugh and make negative comments but WAKE UP! We are living in a virtual world of the Internet. The days of the door to door salesman is slowly coming to an end and practically over.

Do you really think just sending out an email or having a Website will "connect" you to potential clients?

Do you think never actually making a connection will sell your product or service?

Do you think Cold Calling without prior connection and bullying into purchasing makes you an ethical business person?

PearlyWrites is a huge promoter and supporter of Social Media. We LOVE to connect to people online and offline. Its amazing to connect with friends, followers and potential clients online and then meet face to face offline and there is such a wonderful level of comfort as if you have known one another for years!

Develop the trust, respect and communication through Social Media and you will continue to learn and be pleased with all your relationships.

Tweeps, Make it a Great Day! @PearlyWrites :)

The day of 9/11/01 will be always in our minds and our hearts. For many of us living in the Tri-State area, we were directly affected by the attacks on the World Trade Center as well as the Pentagon. When I was teaching, I would have my students write about their experience of 9/11 because I know how I was affected by it as a 25 year old and felt it was important for teenagers and young 20 somethings to be able to express themselves about this horrible memory either through the written word, the spoken word or through art.

My memory: I was sitting on our couch in Fair Lawn. NJ IM chatting with my brother-in-law who worked by the Pentagon and my mother-in-law called. The day was sunny with a cool breeze in the air. My mother-in-law and I were discussing last minute wedding plans since Aaron and I were set to be married on 9-30-01 at The Rockleigh Country Club.

The TV was on, turned to Fox 5, "Good Day New York," as the camera panned up and showed the smoke from the first plane that crashed into the first Tower. The reporter wasn't sure what it was and thought maybe a fire. As the camera was still focused in on the first Tower on fire, the second plane hit and my mother-in-law and I sat in silence and both agreed we were being attacked. And no we weren't calm. Then we heard about the Pentagon and I assured her I was speaking to my brother-in-law, her son, just a few minutes ago so go and try to reach him and then call us back. Aaron's oldest brother worked in the Towers and saw the first plane hit and told his entire office to get the hell out NOW! He took off and walked across the Brooklyn Bridge back home to be safe.

I got off the phone with my mother-in-law, still sitting on my couch in Fair Lawn, called Aaron and I couldn't get through to him. He was working in Short HIlls, NJ at the time. Called and woke my mother up telling her to turn on the TV NOW! She did and said, "I have to call Uncle Joey; I'll call you back." My cousins worked in the Towers so for hours that day we couldn't get in touch with either of them. Aaron finally got in touch with me and he was heading home from work early that day.

All day we didn't hear back from my cousins and finally toward the evening my mother called telling us that they were safe. They just returned from their honeymoon, came out of the NY Subway, looked up, saw the smoke, and ran right back into the Subway to get away. Aaron's brother in DC was also safe we found out later that day. All we could do was be grateful that all our family members were save from the attacks on 9/11. The fear we all felt that day will never be forgotten as the ones who lost their lives. Please take a few moments of silence today to remember 9/11.

Please share your memories and thoughts with us.

Some copywriters do not write for the Adult market and others do but may not advertise it. About six months ago I had a second site designed by Josh Gilmore for our Adult copywriting section of our business. It is called PB Vixen.

PB Vixen is a partnership created by Ralph Greco Jr. and myself, Lisa Weinberger. Ralph has over 30 years writing erotica and then there’s me, the editing and online marketing obsessed Vixen, so when we team up we produce some amazing, converting, optimized copy for the Adult market.

I am happy to say we are ranking number one in the search engines for the keywords: Adult copywriting.

We began getting a few calls and some emails and when I asked the clients how they found us, they said they did a Google search. Another case study that in less than six (6) months we have organically ranked at the number one position for one of our targeted key phrases. Pretty amazing considering the Adult market is over flooded with sites.

What does this tell us?
That by sticking to the basics of SEO writing and online marketing, ranking number one and maintaining the top position can be achieved.

I attended a conference in San Jose, Cali in November hosted by Simon Leung and met a great group of Internet Marketers. The light bulb went on last night, (yes a few months later), and I realized I met Mr. JV, Rod Beckwith who has some amazing software programs to help with SEO. From article spinners, automatic submittal programs and more!

It is one thing to purchase a product from someone you have never met but I actually met Rod and he's a great guy. He actually knows what he is talking about and not just some hyped up sales letter on a squeeze page. We both presented at the workshop so I was able to actually learn from the creator of these different programs.

The submittal process of articles and press releases can take hours and Rod has taken his experiences with his own online businesses and created some great "helpers." When managing online marketing campaigns, it never hurts to use software programs specifically designed for the purpose of giving your clients the best service with the best results.

Happy SEOing!

As I do not know if this book has been written or in the works, I have decided to share a small part of my knowledge about SEO. If you are doing a search and you type in your Website name to search, you SHOULD show up in the search engine results. If you don't show up, then you need to contact your online marketing firm or contact us to take over the campaign.

The real achievement is if your Website shows up in the search results when certain keywords or phrases are searched. Think about it, how many people are really searching for your name? I mean besides maybe old friends or ex's, who else honestly would be searching for Lisa Weinberger?

Do you get the point? You want search results to draw potential clients to your Website and hope your site will convert the visitor into a new client or sale. A Website is only a strong tool if it can be found by potential clients. Online marketing and SEO copy needs to be performed and executed and the minimum amount of time to start seeing results is three (3) months.
