Hola my friends;)
I just uploaded two tracks, one old.. one new.
The new track is called Before The Dawn". It's a turbulent, dark atmospheric piece. Not as complex as some of my other work, it still packs a nice punch.
The main cadenza starts off with a very speedy chromatic based run that is evocative of bats flying right out of a cave into your face lol.
The second track, Remembering Ave Maria- Bach/Gounod has been lying around for awhile and is a short rendition of the central theme of Ave Maria. I had thought about including more orchestration but decided that the simplicity of the piano part with the guitar was fitting and sweet.
All music is performed by yours truly.
My live touring band is waiting impatiently for me to finish this CD which has never been closer to being finished than it is now. I'm expecting an early 2010 release. Check back soon for a killer new video with me playing my new signature series prototype STORMBRINGER, created by Master Luthier, Russell Lintz!
Enjoy the tracks!!
-Eric

Are you ready to learn how to PLAY the guitar? Are you ready to learn how to MASTER the guitar?
Whether you're a beginner or a master class level player, I have played along side some of the world's greatest musicians and have the tools and expertise to take your guitar playing and knowledge exactly where you want it to be.
I teach all genres and styles including: -Rock -Fusion -Metal -Classical -Blues -Neo-classical -Country -Progressive
**I've been professionally teaching guitar for 13 years and have taught students of all ages from 6 to 75. All of my students have tremendously benefited from my instruction in ways such as: - Technique development (ALL stages) - All aspects of music theory and how it directly applies to the guitar in a fun and easy to understand way - Song construction and creativity - How to MASTER the art of improvisation and how that ability makes you a much better musician - Ear training development - All aspects of recording and mixing - And much, MUCH more
Students tell me all the time how their prior instructors would have them learning Mary Had A Little Lamb and Amazing Grace for their first three months of instruction. Pointless and misguided lessons often lead to frustration and a lack in the desire to continue learning.
I structure my lessons around many factors, including:
-Your personal style -Your individual interests -Your current level of skill
All of my lessons are custom designed and unique to each individual student and you can learn in the comfort of your own home.
Bonus: Students will also be furnished with custom backing tracks of my own creation to utilize and further develop their overall knowledge and playing skills. (mp3 format)
If you're interested, just send me an email at ericstadler2@yahoo.com so we can discuss a schedule for your lessons. I use Paypal.
-$30 for single lesson (40 min.)
-$100 for 4 lessons (Saves you $20)
-$175 for 8 lessons (Saves you $65)
Scheduling and lessons are extremely flexible and will be designed to fit your scheduling needs.
What you need to get started:
If you're using a PC I use Skype. Skype lets you have a voice and/or video conference with anyone who has Skype for FREE. It's very easy to use. You can download it for FREE here: www.skype.com. If you're use an Apple computer, I use iChat. Similar concept as Skype but it's built into your Apple computer.
Aside from a computer, you'll need a webcam with a mic, and a guitar, it's that easy!
See ya online!
Eric

I am very excited to have just recently found out that I have been invited to endorse the ultra modern new carbon guitar, The Handle at the NAMM show in January for Peter Solomon of XOX Audio Tools. The Handle: The most revolutionary guitar of the 21st century A true high-tech design object, the Handle was created by the award winning designer Peter Solomon who innovated every detail of this instrument by combining a striking formal identity with cutting edge technology. Its mono-chassis, hollow sectioned construction favors direct transmission of acoustic vibrations and creates a resonance chamber similar to that of a semi-acoustic guitar. the Handle is made from carbon fiber, a material developed for the aerospace industry, and used in F1 race cars. This ultra lightweight material is incredibly resistant, it won't bend or deform under high temperatures or humidity. Surprisingly, carbon fiber offers a much wider harmonic range than wood. Taking inspiration from musician's needs, the handle was designed for speed and comfort. It was conceived as a single body from which superfluous material has been removed. Its concave form, thin profile, slim neck, and light weight offer a truly pleasing experience to anyone who plays it. The ease which you may grab and carry it gave it its name: the Handle. Destined to transform the face of music. Those of you who are going to be at the NAMM show on the 16th and 17th of January be sure to stop by XOX Audio Tools and check it out!

I just wanted to take a moment to share a few a things of a more personal nature with all of my friends here at myspace. As you may have heard or read the midwest region has been undergoing a great deal of turmoil due to the flooding in the area. Many people are staying in temporary shelters and their homes are severely damaged. They need food, clothing and basic necessities that have been destroyed by the rising flood waters. Being in the St. Louis area, my family and I have been fortunate not to have experienced the hardships that many people are suffering through, but this is going to cause billions of dollars worth of damage that will affect us all on a global scale with many crops and farms being destroyed. If you haven't done so already I would like to encourage those who can do so to please stop by the Red Cross website and make a donation so they can continue to provide for our neighbors and friends who need your assistance at such a difficult time. http://www.redcross.org/ Donate God bless. Eric

I wanted to post a blog explaining the motivation behind my latest song titled MBS.
Three days before my 16th birthday my brother, Michael Bray Stadler, was in a fatal car accident... 20 years ago today. His death had a devastating impact on my life, he was my best friend all throughout childhood as well as being one of the most amazing people I have ever had the priviledge of knowing.
Michael was an amazing artist, he was incredibly creative, and as a matter of fact was at one time offered $10,000.00 dollars by the British Embassy for one of his wonderful pencil sketches of Winston Churchill when he was only a sophmore in high school. I have no doubt that he would have been one of the greatest artists in the world if he were alive today.
He was really into 70's and classic rock, and greatly appreciated the guitar work of Dire Strait's Mark Knopfler. I had an emotional experience thinking of memories of my brother several nights ago when I created this piece. Strangely enough it has a somewhat Knopfler like inspiration to it and I'm very proud to dedicate this tune to my late brother MBS and I hope you can enjoy it.

Birth of Fire!!!! Congratulations to Gilvan from Massachusetts for winning my little song naming contest.
http://www.myspace.com/gil_jc
Gilvan will have a special thanks and proper credit for his contribution to this piece on my debut CD which will be available this fall.
I had so many incredible ideas from everyone, I took me a significant amount of consideration to choose only one name.
I want to thank everyone who participated, I was amazed at how creative and unique you all are! I have been truly inspired literally to create new pieces from these titles alone!
You guys ROCK!!

I uploaded a new song that has more of a thematic element to it compared to most of my other tunes.
I need a name for this song!!
I just sat down to jam tonight, and normally I have clear cut ideas for writing a new tune, but tonight I just cranked this one out in about three hours time and I haven't had the time to think of a name for it yet.
I would love to hear any ideas that come into your minds as you jam to it.
**The winner will get credit for their creativity on my debut CD plus a free copy as well!!**
For Guitar Freaks Only!
As I said before I usually have a fairly clear cut idea of good melody and background construction to inspire me to work with for song creation. This one on the other hand just came out of left field so it was recorded very rapidly.
It utilizes two separate finger tapping sequences with some altered polyphony and some scalar harmonization as well. It started out as a classical idea and turned into a thematic movement of its own.
Sorry no chops are included on this one lol but I'm rather pleased to have constructed a piece which is primarily centered around the almost forgotten art of tapping.
Enjoy and don't forget to leave your ideas!!
