Hello there,

I was looking out my windows some hours ago and it seems that the last leaf has fallen to the ground in this misty west coast town. Well, the Christmas lights of the amusement park are keeping me up. Always something.

Aoph, I almost forgot that we have now booked four DJ sets in the AMERICAS, starting with Toronto on the 28th of December at a place called the Drake Hotel. And on New Years Eve, as well as on the 1st and 2nd of January, we are supporting our dear friend Jens Lekman at the Empty Bottle in Chicago. But dont expect anything, a recent review called us horrific but we have 1 month to prepare.
Thats it. We where suppossed to come to other cities too but we couldnt make it work economically.

Some questions to the Chicago and Toronto chaps, do you have any zoo? If you have, how much is the ticket?

Oh no, Jens. He wanted Air from France to support him but he sent his mail to the wrong people. Too late now and 6700 dollar poorer. I have already bought an expensive golden necklase to my girl and she is very happy that our business is starting to take off.

Hello,

we are back to say that there is a little chance that we will follow one of our favourite man Jens Lekman to do some djing at the club where he plays in Chicago 31 December, 1 januari, and 2 Januari. But it would be lovely if theres is someone out there who can book us for something the days before or after. Maybe New York?

Hello again. We've heard there's a couple of Air France Facebook groups, and that people are writing very nice things about us. Unfortunately, none of us have Facebook so we can't really answer any questions you might have there.

Oh, Pitchfork put us on their best of the decade list, read it. Fucking fantastic.

And by the way, here's a recent interview we did with our friend Stephen at Minor Progression.

Now, bye bye for a long time. There are issues to be dealt with, might take some time.

Current mood:  shocked

Hi there,
I walked a couple of hours last night and the leaves swirled slowly towards the ground. Just two weeks ago I was bathing in the sea and everything seemed perfectly easy.
Anyway, Henrik is back. It feels nice. He did not go into what he has done, but he was more light-haired than usual and talked constantly about his wish to take me on a spirit walk, whatever that means. That man amazes me always. Always.

(pause, someone's calling)

It was my girlfriend. I haven't a clue what she wanted.

So, back to business. We have heard a rumor that we are about to record an album. We had no idea. But it sounds like a good one.

Next thing. We finished our Saint Eteinne remix the day before we went on holiday in July and from what I understand, it will be released in a few days. I haven't heard the mastered version yet, so if you have it, please send us a mp3. No wait, send a wav. It is bigger. Mp3s are like one third the size of a wav, but I'm not sure.

(pause, someone's at the door.)

It was the neighbour. The cat had sneaked into his apartment again.

Anyway, we recieved a fan letter from Sweden three weeks ago. It was written by a Rickard in Umeå. It said "you are good, sounds a bit like Tough Alliance". Things are starting to move here. And Gothenburg Belongs To Us is released on a Modular collection now. So there's at least one good song on it. Only joking. Not. Yes, just a joke. No not really. Yes it is.

(paus, again with the phone)
Henrik wants to record outside today, apparently. No comment.

According to Mr Laurie (our Brackenbury manager) we were supposed to stay at home throughout the fall and be creative, but we might sneak away in about three weeks for a dj set in Berlin, maybe. If there's any major cities in France or the Benelux or Hungary or anywhere else in Europe, maybe we could take a train and come visit. We're terrified of flying, and we can't keep going back an forth anymore.

Bye.
August 4, 2009 - Tuesday

Hello there,

still no Henrik in the studio, has he quit the band, who knows?
no text messages, no phone calls.
just some recently written song lyrics in his black note book:

"She's my girl at the bus stop, she's never late
She's always there at eight
and oh, I wish she wouldn't take the no.9
And oh, I only wish she'll take the same bus mine, sometime
And oh, if she would only say hello
I'm really very tempted, to follow her to see where see goes"

However, I think that means that I am lonely.
But not alone.

I have just come home after some days in Sardinia with my girlfriend. I swam and checked out some local light-houses.
Im very fascinated of islands and the Swedish word for isle, Ö,  is probably my favorite Swedish word. It says quite a lot about how the island looks like. A circular ring with two dots, like two rocks north of the island.

Our two first eps + Hold On To Me Baby are finally out now on a beautiful double 10" vinyl. Thanks Acephale so much for that.

Will try responding to emails from today, sorry for all the mess.

Hi there,

have anyone seen Henrik? The blonde guy in Air France. He has not been in the studio a single day this week. He talked about that he needed time off some weeks ago. Italy and Slovenia were alternatives, he said but I didn't believe him.

However, I have taken the opportunity to make 23 smoky dub songs, a whole soundtrack to a Czech piece I saw on TV in the eighties and a record about dinosaurs. My new colleague named David Laurie supports me with fucking everything and he will help me to push Sincerely Yours to release this epic dinosaur record called "Before the cave people" .
Before Henrik ran away we made a mix for our friends at thelineofbestfit.com and they took the opportunity to publish a nearly a year old interview about life, records and dinosaurs. I cant fucking believe how we forgot to include that Best Coasts song, "Sun was High, So was I" on the playlist. I have listening to it constantly for two weeks now. It is cracked, like life.

We have also fnished our St. Etienne remix and we will share a twelve inch with Richard X. So make Heavenly Records website your homepage and you will quite soon know when it is arriving. So long, there is few seconds long prewiev here:http: / / www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wx20fGqe0eI

Tomorrow I will leave Gbg for Stockholm, Italy, Stockholm again, and north of north Sweden for a wedding.
I will listen to three Lovejoy songs, "Radio", "Sunset Sky" and "A taste of the High Life" cause they always fits the mood when you are out there thinking seriously about life somewhere between two points on the world map.

Oh. Bobby Reeds "The time is right for love" on my playlist now.
"Oh, baby here are we lonely again, its so much I want to say. "
just so lovely in every way.
I have to writer faster, fotboll with sy in about one hour.

If you want to buy our records, you do it via Rough Trade ( http://tiny.cc/Ngdax ) or contact our record labels.

and of course the brilliant jj record.

And finally for now...
We, along with our favourite friends, also have organized an open air club called the Summer Of Love and its held spontaneously, when the weather is fine, at various beaches around Gothenburg. Last time over 300 people came. So If you are on the roads around Gothenburg in early august conctact us and we will give you the adress.

And remember: The streets is in your town are always yours, no rules will stop the ridiculous ban on musicians in the  street.

best
