hey everyone. it's very nice to be out of the house, and be back in the real world again. hope you all enjoyed watching me make a fool of myself in a dinosaur costume! (and no..... i'm not available for kids parties. ha!) thanks to everyone who voted for me and all your support. hopefully i'll see as many as possible of you at the pa's i'm doing.

sony are releasing an a1 greatest hits album, which i don't know much about, but go grab a copy if you want it on itunes or in stores from next monday.

Ben reflects over his time in the house



Ben looks back on his time in the House...

After the double eviction on Wednesday, it seems that Ben is surprised that he's still in the House. "I didn't know how long I'd stay in for," Ben said, revealing that he wasn't too confident. Like his fellow housemates he was shocked at the unexpected departure of LaToya, assuming she'd be in the final two. But he wasn't so surprised when it came to the other evictee...

"I had a feeling Tommy might go. His views on the world may have divided people. He's quite vocal how he feels about things...They became a little gang," he started, referring to the other boys in the House. "I think they feel like they've lost a leg...or two."

Ben went on to reflect on his time in the House and when asked what he hated the most he said, "Eating chillies, having my ears screamed to death, washing up without a dishwasher and I've hated washing my clothes in the sink."
But he still managed to learn a bit about himself in the House...

"I've learned I have more patience, and I'm a good kisser. I'm sure that lady went home very happy," he said confidently. However, Ben was adamant he wouldn't be jumping in a dinosaur costume anytime soon and that he's definitely not ready for children. "Especially plastic ones that cry for no reason," he laughed.

With the end looming, his thoughts then turned to the possibility of winning. "I'm just happy to be in the final. If I win that's a bonus. If not I'll have a party and get horrendously drunk. I feel like I've won in a small way just by being in the final," he explained.

TASK - Dare Devils

Big Brother likes to push housemates as far as they will go, but sometimes the rewards just aren't enough. So, Big Brother thought it might be fun to 'dare' the housemates to do things and reward them with a token however if any of them refuse they will be sent to Jail until further notice. The dares Big Brother asked included kissing a granny, sitting in a bath of soup and licking a fish's eyeballs. Sooo. nice!

TASK - Eating chillis

In the chilli eating task yesterday Ben ate all his three chillis (felt like bragging about that a little bit)!

TASK - Making the band

In wigs, spandex and sequins, the housemates (The Final Eight) performed their song written for the task. Ben played a key role in the task as one of the songwriters in the house, and was.... er.... sexy (?) in his 80s outfit. Let's just say it was very interesting. Either way, great to see the housemates not taking themselves too serious, and providing such great entertainment!

A GOOD DAY

Now that Tiny has left the house, there is a bit more "volume control" as Ben calls it. In this video we see some of the house mates saying how much they enjoyed one of the days last weekend. And Ben provided some wise words to Tommy. What a wise little head he's got on his shoulders......

We have been wondering for a little while why Ben tends to play with his hands in his pocket. Could it be the reason why his mum used to buy football trophies for him?

TASK - Battle of the sexes - men versus women

Yesterday Big Brother gave the house six challenges to battle it out - men versus women. In this highly scientific task there was obviously a lot at stake!

Here are the challenges and results:

Multi-tasking - Tommy beat Michelle
Memory - Tina won the tie-break over Terry, confirming that women have better memories than men.
Common sense - Ulrika went head to head with Verne in thecommon sense test, and won.
Practical test - Ben gift-wrapped the bike better than Latoya. "You did a great job," confirmed Latoya. "And a quick job." "The quicker the better," he nodded.
Cooking - Coolio cooked a better omelette than Mutya.
Bravery - When it came to bravery, the men wiped the floor with the women. "Ha ha ha!" laughed Terry. "Without a shadow of a doubt, men are better than women," said Big Brother.
"Gimme an M. Gimme an E. Gimme an N, " shouted Coolio, huddling with his fellow blokes. "What does it spell?" The end of harmonious relations in the House, probably.

The housemates are told they will be locked in a room with a big spider... The housemates were told they had to peal off into girls and boys, then head to the Task room to spend five minutes with a tarantula. In the dark. Ben held his head in his hands, looking white. All the boys entered the taskroom, whilst only 2 of the girls did (Michelle and Latoya).

TASK - Ben goes undercover

Ben returned from the Diary Room with some news for the others.
"I would just like to tell you that I have passed my Task," Ben announced to the housemates in the Living Area.
"What was your Task?" asked Terry.
"It was to scare a housemate," said Ben, "and I scared Ulrika by hiding behind the chair. It was hot. I was under a duvet, behind the chair and I was sitting there for fifteen minutes thinking 'this is hot'."
"Is that what you were doing?" asked Michelle.
"Yeah," laughed Ben. "We've got one pass. Which is good."
"So you were told the Task but you couldn't tell us?" asked Tommy.
"I wasn't allowed to say anything," said Ben.
"Well done," said Michelle. "Wooo! High five!"
