It's been a little while since the last entry on the progress of the new songs, so I thought I'd update everyone again.

We've continued playing "DTF" and "Little Fingers" at practice and have gotten them tighter, really excited about the way those 2 will come out with Rob Freeman producing them. We plan on playing both of those songs at our upcoming show at Croc Rock in Allentown, PA, which will be the first time we ever play "DTF" live.

The newest song has finally come together and we're excited about the way it came out. It's a really powerful sounding song with some sick break downs. Still not sure on the name for sure, but we'll come up with something...at least we figured out how to play it haha.

We still aren't sure on an exact release date because we don't know how long they will take to mix, BUT we do know we will be done tracking them by November 12th. 

We got some footage of rehearsals and will be taking more in the studio as we record. We're going to put a cool video together for you guys! Thanks for listening, hope you guys are as excited as us!

I just wanted to update you guys a little bit on the progress of our new music. Like we stated in the previous blog, we're recording 3 brand new songs with producer Rob Freeman(Hit The Lights/Cobra Starship) on November 9th,10th,11th,12th and will be releasing a 4th acoustic song as well. 

We have two of the three songs down pat and have been practicing and playing them for quite some time, their titles are "DTF?!" and "Little Fingers"....I'll explain more about them in a minute. The third song we are in the process of writing and is so new that we don't even know how it will end up exactly.

As far as the style of the songs, "DTF?!" will show the more fun/poppier side of our band's personality, and with a title like that...you can only imagine what the lyrics are like (if you don't know what DTF means, you should rent SUPERBAD). "Little Fingers" has more of a dancey/groove oriented feel, experimenting with synth noises and sampled drum sounds (in addition to real drums). And the third song, although not complete, is by far one of the heaviest songs we've worked on together since RUN LIKE HELL, it's going to definitely surprise anyone who thinks we have lost the edgey side of our music. The acoustic song is called "Knight" and was only performed once live at an acoustic show at an FYE in-store we did. You can find a video on youtube of that if you look hard enough.

I made Steve Kellner bring a camera to practice today, so we're going to try to get some footage together ASAP. but I figured in the mean time I'd post this blog letting everyone know what they can expect from this new release. We still plan on having the songs out sometime around XMAS and will probably be re-releasing Run Like Hell on itunes around the same. More on that to come.

We are heading back into the studio next month to record 3 brand new songs (plus a bonus acoustic track). It's been awhile since we recorded any new material and we've got some songs that we are anxious for everyone to hear. This time around, we will have producer Rob Freeman at the helm (Hit The Lights/Cobra Starship/Armor For Sleep) and we're totally stoked to work with him for the first time.

Once we finish the recording process (which is only going to be 4 days, plus mixing time), we are going to be digitally releasing these songs on iTunes and other online sources. Because it will take about 4-6 weeks to appear on iTunes, you can expect these songs to be available sometime around Christmas (exact release date TBA). 

Keep checking back, because we will be posting more blogs and some videos keeping you updated about this upcoming recording and release process!
