Hey.  Doug here.

I just wanted to let you know that Matt and I just put the final touches on a new track.  You can hear it at myspace.com/maydecemberromance.  If you get a chance you should check it out.  It's free to download.

Also, read the blog and the new 'drop psalms not bombs' shirts.

Grace and peace,

- Doug

Not to be a jerk, but just as a warning, the Highnote/Rocking Horse is not a very well run or considerate place to play or hear live music. Not that I ever anxiously await the opportunity of getting to darken the doors of that particular establishment. But the last couple of times we've been on the bill to play there, the show has either been cancelled a few days before OR not been cancelled at all, but just have no one show up. And by no one show up, I don't mean attendees. I'm referring to people supposedly run/operate the venue and are necessary to at least unlock the door.

All this to say, if you are a local or touring band, it is probably in your best interest to avoid getting booked at the highnote. You can try the lovely people at Cave 9 and Bottletree, but if that fails, I'd take a gig at a local high school or church basement any day.

Hopefully I caught it in time, but you my have seen a vulgar commented posted on our page earlier.  This isn't the first time this has happened, so were going to have to start screening comments.

It's never anything really negative, just in poor taste.  So I want to take this time to remind any potentional posters that we are, in fact, a christian band.  If you want to post show flyers, your band's banners, or what ever, that is fine by us.  But, if it is something we deem inappropriate, lude, or in distasteful, we will delete it.

So try to keep it clean if'n you want it to be seen.

much love,
- lpom

Current mood:  shocked

As you may or may not know, your friendly neighborhood little pieces of me has had a lot going on lately.  We have parted ways with some members (on very good terms, mind you) and had invited a couple of new people into the fold.  We have been working on some new music and revamping some old stuff by request and have been preparing to bring you something like you have never seen or heard before.  Our myspace, as well as our band, has a new look and some new music, and we are in the process of recording a new EP at The Basement while working on a tour for 2007.  Needless to say big things are in store.

You can check out our brand new music while reading the article featuring our very own Matt Carroll in the Kaleidoscope.

Check back soon for more music and more update and changes to win free merch.

love in christ,

Greetings folks

So what is The Art of Giving In? This just so happens to be the new side project of our lovely frontman, Matt Caroll. This is Matt's first time to be flying solo, and he needs support from all you little pieces of me fans. Currently Matt is working on his first ten song album, being produced by yours truly.

You can check Matt out live at Highland Coffee's open mic night on Wednesdays. I will try to let you know the nights Matt is playing.

If you would like to know more about The Art of Giving In, then you can check Matt's Myspace and PureVolume. Hopefully there will some stripped down versions of the songs on these two sites, so please stay tuned.
