oh thank god it's finally done.  10 tracks of cease upon the capitol that we are on the verge of unleashing on the public's ears.  if you were thinking that this record was going to sound like the last one, you will be in for a big surprise.  hopefully you will love it as much as we do.  i'm sure (as always) that we'll have it up on soulseek for download in a few days.  keep your eyes open and look for it to be officially released this summer on a number of labels such as the fine folks at react with protest, sons of vesta as well as impure muzik. 

anyway, those of you in europe, look for us to come to your area this summer.  we'll post the tour dates soon. 

don't worry, we're going to tour the homeland this summer as well.  our good friends from france, Third Memory, will be on tour with us at the end of august and we'll post those dates as soon as we get them.

well, it finally happened.  roy is officially a dad.  god save us all.  his wife, jen, popped out their newborn baby girl yesterday even though she wasn't due for another three weeks.  i guess she couldn't wait to get out and start all the smack talk that i'm sure she will learn from her father.  for those of you who know roy you should send him an email or call him up to offer some congragulatory remarks and then take him out for a beer.  that's my plan anyway.

i don't know who reads these blogs these days but i just want to post a short note on here about something that's been bothering me for a bit.  if you want to post a comment on our page then please do.  we appreciate people listening to us and checking us out here in the FOX owned myspace community but for cryin' out loud whatever you do don't post an add on there.  that ain't what we're about bub.  if you want to advertise a show then go ahead...we support that kinda thing.  however, DO NOT post anything that has some kind of corporate logo/string attached to it.  it will be deleted.  it is annoying and a wee bit insulting. 
sorry, it's just gotten a little much lately.

in other news we go to record the new ep next week.  i'm sure we'll put a free version up somewhere on the web as soon as we get the mixes back so keep an ear out for it in the next three weeks or so.  that is all.

tour is done!!!  ben and i got back yesterday and ryan will be back in a few days as well.  everything went really great and i can't begin to thank all the people that we met and helped us out on the road.  lars and his family, the guys from escapado, june paik, the kids from caen, joss and the guys from gantz...the list could go on forever.  we met the best people in the world over the past two months and we can't wait to go back next summer.

we still have some cds left and possibly a shirt or two so if anyone is interested then please get in touch.

we have a couple of records planned as well.  the splits with gantz and the third memory should be recorded within the next few weeks and then we will start working on the next full length.  oh busy busy...

anyway i guess that's all for now.  once again thanks to everyone who came out to the shows, gave us a place to sleep, fed us, and got us high and/or drunk.  we really appreciate everything and we can't wait to see you all again next summer (which is being planned as we speak, but more on that later...)

so, matt and ben are gone. matt left on sunday and ben on monday. our last show was friday night. thanks to everybody who came. i'll leave on the 14th, and meet the guys at lars's house on the 15th. it's crazy to see them gone and to realize that things are actually happening. we've been getting a lot of merch and things ready for the tour, so if you're coming to see us, bring some money. here is some news:
- our full-length is going to be released in the states and canada on cd by three fine labels: forever escaping boredom records (FL), slug against squirrel records (PA), and sonic deadline records (Canada). we are so excited to have this happen. it should be out by the time we come home (July 2006). thanks to hal, joe, and roger for making this happen.
- the full-length is also going to be released on cassette tape by three more fine labels: papakerma records (Malaysia), utarid tapes (Malaysia) and i've come for your children (usa). this is also going to be so awesome, and should be out around july, hopefully. thanks to nazier, dean, and arwith for making this happen! also, the artwork from the european cd release is going to be altered and used for this cassette release.
- we are so pleased to announce two upcoming split 7"s. the first is with France's incredible The Third Memory. we'll include one original song and a cover of a third memory song on our side. they'll do the same on their's, covering one of our songs. the next split is with France's gigantic Gantz! we'll include one song on our side. this was an outtake from the album, we're going to re-record the song and change some things with it. we're so psyched for both of these. we'll record them in july or august, once we get back, and they'll be released maybe august/september? the third memory split will be released by tears of silence (fr), parade of spectres (uk), and i've come for your children (usa). we're not sure about who will release the gantz split yet. possibly impure muzik and i've come for your children, but we'll see.
- the split cd with arse moreira has been cancelled. we'll do a split with them sometime this year, but it will be different songs, and probably on a 7" or something. sorry for everybody who was waiting for this.

well here's the updated tour dates.  actually i don't know how updated these are but my girlfriend has been yelling at me to update the shows on our page here so there ya go sweetie.  umm...yeah...keep rockin' kids.

the big news is, the album is done being recorded, and we got the final mixes back. soon, we'll send of the masters to joss and lars and the albums will be going to press! we are so excited about this. it is 9 songs, 25 minutes long. the album is untitled, the songs are untitled. it is more aggressive, angry, and noisy than anything we've done, but at the same time the melodies are more subtle, more beautiful, and more intense. basically, it's our best work and we're damn proud of it.

the tour is almost completely booked. lars has been working his ass off, and we're so happy to have him on our side! the tour's going to be great. keep watching the calendar as we add more info on each show. and come out if you can!

we haven't been playing many shows recently, mostly because of our recording, but also because we've all been so busy with other stuff. ben just got a house, so we've been playing some house shows there. so far, they've been pretty awesome. this wednesday we're playing at sweetwater. hopefully this show will be really good, since i won't have to be working all day before playing (like the last two shows). we'll probably play some older stuff, with a little new stuff.

we're waiting for the arse moreira/cease upon the capitol cd to come out. it should be out in a month, we hope. also, the 7" on ape must not kill ape will be out any day now. marianne already has the 7"s back from the press, and she has our artwork. the only thing is to put them together. also, the silbato/cease upon the capitol split 3" cd is only waiting on artwork. since i've been busy i haven't been able to make small changes, so it's all my fault, i'm sorry! we're still trying to find a japanese band to be a part of the cease upon the capitol/49 morphines/hollow jan split cd. hmm....
