It's been a busy couple of months in the Salamander camp…

Adam our guitarist has had baby twin girls a few weeks ago (and is now very, very knackered!). Paul has been to the hairdressers again for a quick blow. Karl went all camp on us for a bit and Mark decided that 'The Gretsch' could finally see the light of day (well it was the Mathew Street Fezzy after all).

In addition to all that we've played The Barfly a few weeks back and enjoyed a storming set at The Zanzibar for the Mathew Street Fringe. We're also busy writing some new stuff that should see the light of day this side of Christmas and finished off the new 3 track CD artwork that's just been sent to print. CDs will be available at forthcoming gigs for all those interested just ask us for one.

While at the Zanzibar gig we were interviewed for Chilean Radio station Adictos Ruido. The full interview link will be posted in the next blog - as you can see we'd had a few beers by then :P

We play the New Picket on the 7^th of March! Our first Salamander gig with the new line up.

Thanks to everyone that responded to our ads across the land for a new guitarist. We'd like to say a big hello to our newest member Mark Johnston who joins us on Rhythm Guitar. We are now locking ourselves away for a few weeks to bring Mark up to speed and will be launching the new set soon!

We are still getting freaky with our myspace site and as you can see it looks fluffy and nice, a bit like a pet cat, so dont forget to stroke us often and remove any unwanted clingons.

We are also working on new songs for the set so we can get giging in the New Year, also i am growing a moustache for the first gig.

After much blood, sweat and coffee we have sorted out our first 6 track demo over the weekend. Massive thanks to Russ from Cybaddiction studios (www.cybaddiction.co.uk) for his patience and expertise :)

Tracks are being mixed down now and should be ready for us to upload in a couple of days so all you lucky people will be the first to hear them here on Myspace.

26th November has now been confirmed as the date we are in the studio to record our new demos! So all you lucky people out there will have some Salamandery warbling to listen to around the 1st December.
