It's been a long time since I last posted up a blog, so here's a little short & sweet one from me to you.

This year I've been DJing for 10 glorious years, and I wouldn't change a thing.  I've met so many fabulous people along the way, and played at some of the best parties.  I'm still loving it just as much as I ever have!

The Get Lifted Radio Show on PushFM is going from strength to strength, expect to hear some exclusive guest mixes/interviews over the coming months as well.  Join me every Friday from 10pm-12 (gmt) for the very best in house from around the globe.

I have just upgraded my Podcast account, so expect more house mixes very soon.  The latest mixes are Get Lifted Part 1 & 2, and Legends In My House Part 1 a mix of music from the legendary Masters @ Work, Frankie Feliciano and more.  Labels include Vega Records, Dope Wax & MAW... at a bitrate of 128kbps.  Part 2 coming very soon.

Over the next few months I am playing at some absolutely cracking parties, Back To '95 is back on the 20th March at Ministry of Sound, on the 8th March I'm back at Herbal for Bobby & Steve Presents, and I am playing alongside the legend himself - Louie Vega - on the 24th May at SeOne, so make sure you put that one firmly in your diaries!  In September I am off to Portugal for a week for the Algarve Xperience.

Hey everyone!  It's been a while since my last mix, but somehow I've managed to find the time to get it on...   The last mix I posted on my website has had over 800 downloads - let's see if this one breaks that record!  I would have podcast this mix, but I seem to exceed the monthly bandwidth within a few weeks - if anyone knows of any others I can use - let me know please.

'Get Lifted' the mix is to introduce you to my party of the same name.  Queen of Funk Presents 'Get Lifted' on Sunday 16th September at the gorgeous White House in Clapham, and we are there every month in conjunction with Precious People & RPM Magazine's legendary 'Ferris Bueller's Day Off' this month with Trophy Twins in the main room.  It opens from 1pm-2am, and 'Get Lifted' will open upstairs from 4pm-11pm.

Set times for 'Get Lifted' DJ's will be...
4-5pm -    Lady Duracell - opening the party with a deep/tech house set
5-6pm -    Darren Deep - with his blend of deep dubby & soulful grooves
6-8pm -    Double S - jackin' the house with his unique mix & blend
7-8pm -    Lady Duracell - main set where I'll be playing the music closest to my heart - deep & soulful house grooves
8-9pm -    Sy Sez - one of my personal favourite underground soulful house dj's
9-10pm -  Huckleberry Finn - legend, over 20 years on the scene
10-11pm - DJ Mozza - closing the party with some gorgeous uplifting soulful house

Hey everyone!

I thought it was about time that I told you my big news for 2007!

At the beginning of the year I was asked to provide the soundtrack for Nell McAndrews next fitness DVD.  I had to choose, license & mix the music.  I was totally honoured to be asked to get involved in this big project, and what an amazing learning curve it was! 

I'm not going to give too much away, but let's say the house music I chose, has afro/latin/tribal influences, is deep but uplifting and pumping enough to put Nell McAndrew and eventually YOU through the paces.



Nell McAndrew is known not only for her fitness DVD's, but for her modelling  career...

Nell is remembered also for her real life Lara Croft promotion as well....
Dressing up like Lara Croft was her job between 1996 and 1997. Being the real life version of the character took her all over the world to promote Tomb Raider 3.

Nell McAndrew released her first fitness video in 2002 called 'Peak Energy' which soon became the number one fitness video. The second 'Maximum Impact' was released in December 2003. The third fitness video 'Ultimate Challenge, Ultimate Results' was released December 2004.  Liam who takes the class, and his partner Michele have been training together for around 15 years, and all of the videos are based on their classes.

The fourth DVD will be released in December '07, and this time around you can get fit with Nell McAndrew with Lady Duracell (Queen of Funk) in the mix!
