Current mood:  peaceful

Neighhhhhh, that’s the sound of us ponies kicking back and enjoying some time off after a hectic 8 week stint with the Popronde.

Yep, in 8 weeks we saw more Dutch towns and cities than I have in the past 10 years, not to mention we saw lots of cool bands and met lots of cool people and we even got a nice review:

Highlight:

In Wageningen, discovering that even if you are half dead with a flu, you can still do a great show and have a lot of fun to boot if you first tank up on a nice cocktail of Red Bull, red wine, Ibuprofen and Vicks. Ahh, that was a fun night…

Lowpoint:

The Plato in-store show in Groningen, when we came to the painful realisation that we are not meant to play acoustic. We may have made up for that horror slightly with another acoustic show in Middelburg. For those who were there – remember it well because it will probably never happen again :-D

Last Friday was the hottest day of hell on earth, so we were very happy to escape it by going underground in Gouda to play a wee acoustic session for the radio (http://www.myspace.com/goingundergroundradio)

Click here to download the session and interview - featuring a NEW previously unreleased song "TV Love"!

Current mood:  scared
The building I live in is falling over. Actually it is sinking into the sand. Today men have come. They will prop it back up again. Now the whole building is thumping, shaking, moving. I am very scared. I should go out. But I have nowhere I want to go. I wrote a song about it. It is called Subsidence. It will be featured in a short film called, "Time... no Time", which is a Mutatis Mutandis movie. Pony Pack may play it one day, if I don't end up in a pile of rubble first. Jane

And she rocks!!! As of today we are excited to announce that Nora Uitterlinden is a Pony. Nora also plays drums in Dusty Blinds and The Bent Moustache - so that actually makes her a Dusty Pony Moustache...

But nothing like this:

Just when you've spent the last few days grumping around complaining to yourself that being in a band is like having a hole in your pocket and wondering if you will you ever, ever get paid anything other than beer and for a second you think fuck it all and wish you could just be 'normal' and be satisfied with the things that seem to make other people happy like watching Grey's Anatomy or "going for coffee" on a Saturday afternoon instead of having that constant urge to do do DO that makes you an anti-social freak and you will probably die alone, you find something like this and then it all seems worthwhile :-)
